Maybe I missed it, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned the unreleased Sons of the Desert album with their version of "Goodbye Earl" on it. I have/had it somewhere, but have no clue where it is or might be.

I got a couple treasures on a Maxwell House sampler called The Taste of Country that I found at a now closed thrift shop in Alpena. It had "What You Don't Know" by Jon Randall (as I mentioned upthread, I also have the single of "She Don't Believe in Fairy Tales") and "Remember When" by Ray Vega, the latter of which was never put on an album. I should've bought the CD single of "Comin' Around" when I saw Josh Thompson live a couple years back, because it had a B-side called "Rust" that not even Google has heard of. I have the entire "Cold Coffee Morning" album by Randall and the entire "Remember When" album (promo CD found for like 25¢ at a used store here in Nashville.

Yes it did have that track! I bought the single in Nashville and thusly have "Rust" it's a really good song imo. :) Maybe I missed it, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned the unreleased Sons of the Desert album with their version of "Goodbye Earl" on it. I've got their version of "Goodbye Earl" but I've never been able to find the full album. :( "Cold Coffee Morning" was an excellent album. Its a shame it never saw the light of day. Just saying if anybody knows how I can get a hold of the "Cold Coffee Morning" album even digitally please let me know! I love Jon and I only have the 'Willin' & 'Walkin' Among The Livin'' albums. I've been hunting down the others for years lol

I've managed to get lucky and snag a few out of print CDs on ebay/Amazon for way below market value. I also have some CDs that I bought at normal price and then became rare. I've noticed that 2-in-1 rereleases tend to be very susceptible to this. Bobby Bare - A Bird Named Yesterday/Talk Me Some Sense Charley Pride - In Person (14 track edition, although happily this looks like it is being reissued in a week) Gary Stewart - Gary/Cactus and a Rose George Jones - Bartenders Blues (of course, it was reissued like six months later, for half of what I paid and with another album that I didn't have , although that reissue seems to have gone OOP itself) Lefty Frizzell - Life's Like Poetry [Box Set] (won this in an auction at a great price) Moe Bandy - I Just Started Hatin' Cheatin' Songs Today/It Was Always So Easy (To Find an Unhappy Woman) Moe Bandy - Hank Williams, You Wrote My Life/Cowboys Ain't Supposed to Cry Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Plain Dirt Fashion/Partners Brothers and Friends Also, not sure if this counts, but Johnny Paycheck's Mr. Hag Told My Story is extremely rare on CD, but I was able to recreate the entire album because all of its tracks were included as bonus songs on two other Johnny Paycheck 2-for-1ers, which was a nice surprise.

Homesick by Hunter Hayes takes the cake for me. That is stellar songwriting right there.

I'm not sure how much if any of the material meant for his second Columbia album made it to the ShowDog-Universal one but it was shaping up to be a great album based on those 3 tracks. :)

It just seemed like it was lost in the shuffle in that 2012 playlist.

A true shame too as that was my favorite single he's put out so far.

Wait they pulled "Salt Life" off iTunes? It used to be on there.

Lee Ann Womack performed an excellent cover of Waylon Payne's song Her (changed to Him, of course) on PBS Soundstage. I saw it on TV once and have not been able to find a recording of it (live or studio). I think it was supposed to be on one her albums but didn't make the final cut unfortunately.
