You got: Femme FataleneySee the sunlight, you ain’t stoppin’, because your life is currently on FIYAH! You’ve established who the true Queen is and you’ll keep ruling these extras around you till the world ends. Don’t be afraid to take out your freak tonight because that’s how you roll. Fair enough.

"You’re in the ~coolest~ and ~most personal~ era of your life. Because you’ve proved you’re the bad bitch time and time again, you can now relax and focus on yourself. But be careful, keep marking your territory to let those thirsty for your throne know who the true Queen is. Now get to work bitch!"

Bitch wishes.
A half-assed charity collab is all she's ever going to get.

"When Your Eyes Say It" has always been one of my favorite songs from Brit, listening to it now. :)

This is why I think she's today's Queen of Pop. I understand the title may as well be Madonna's epitaph, but in the sense of what it stands for, you just don't see this generation's artists coming forward to talk about her anymore. If you were to ask any young girl who inspired her to be a pop star... it's Britney. She is the most influential woman in the industry today.

You might say I'm crazy and I really don't care, BUT I spent 5 hours yesterday revisiting some of Britney's OLD videos on Youtube. Such as VMAs, AMAs, Billboard, TRL, MTV, talk show appearances, SNL, ETC. You name it, I watched it. Britney has always been on top since her debut. Britney demanded your attention and she owned the stage. Britney’s music and persona took us places that we were never taken to before. Those who came after Britney will always be, in a sense, compared to Britney. Britney has influenced most of today's pop stars like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Selena G, Taylor S, Miley C, Charli XCX, Ariana G, Demi L, Rihanna... In conclusion, I agree with Coco. I feel Britney is a true testament of what defines Queen of Pop.

Coco is always right booboo. xo There are however a few bitches on that list who are clearly inspired however forgot that you need to be a singer or dancer or both, but at least one of those and not dead fish flopping on stage, but whatever! I said in the New York Times that Mariah Carey and Britney Spears are the most important women of the last 25 years in influencing the young artists. I can name hundreds for each. Anyways adios gerls, gone with the wind. I am not well liked in this thread. #Deuces

Britney music is just around the corner!!!!
William Orbit 2 hours ago
I’ve done that thing. Gone ahead of myself in my enthusiasm. So apologies to all for the ‘tease’. It’s the Britney effect, you’ve seen it elsewhere with others, keen to bang the tambourine and popping out idealistic tweets. Mine no exception. Careless matches setting the countryside alight. It should also be said that the place for BJS news is actually the official site. No one leaned on me to say that, I just feel a bit responsible for stirring things up. Xmas is nearly here and I’m sure that Santa will bring nice prezzies, if not exactly on the big day. Patience my friends and rest assured that I’m on it. Over and out for now and with appreciation and respect to you all. Even those of you who get a bit nutty about it all. W

It's funny, because one would probably argue that Taylor Swift is the most influential woman in music right now (maybe besides Beyonce). But do you ever hear any up and coming artists saying stuff along the lines of "taylor swift is my hero, she's the reason I do this, etc. etc." like how we've seen 100000's of artists say about Britney? Comes down to Impact, and Britney actually made that impact.

Almost none, and even then Taylor has just now started making a HUGE impact, so I would say that it's unfair to compare her to Britney at this point in her career, especially when we're talking about inspiration to the next generation... wait 10 years, then make this assessment.

Oh my. This is her first feature single (well, on one of her records) since... 'Me Against the Music'? Anyway, her plastic surgery is covering Women's Health.

I mean she's already been out 8 years. Britney was already into a Greatest Hits album by that time, and people were already praising her, saying she was their inspiration. I'm sure there are many up and coming artists right now that could've been young even when Fearless or Red came out and said she was their inspiration.... but I've literally seen no one do it. Even if she keeps at her pace, she's not doing anything really that would make an up and comer say that type of thing about her / praise her in that way imo. Taylor's never revolutionized anything in the industry or been a trailblazer. She's been a HUGE artist, but she's never been the type to really set the trend (in music) or really push the boundaries.
