New RollingStone interview with Giorgio Moroder: "Moroder was also surprised that one artist in particular β the most famous on the album β wanted to collaborate. "Britney came to my management company with the idea to do a particular song with me, which was interesting because usually it's the other way, with the producer offering a song," he says. Although he won't say what song she picked ("the record company doesn't want me to tell you"), he offered some clues: "Let's say it's a song which came out about 30 years ago as an a cappella, just a voice. If you can figure out what it is, I didn't tell you." Can we backtrack, I feel no one really read that correctly. They said "when is the song with iggy coming" and Kyle said something along the lines of it coming later rather than sooner because "a female rapper opened their mouth early" aka we are all waiting bc she said it so early but in reality it was never supposed to come so early.

I'm actually kind of holding out hope that Iggy actually has been dropped and SHE'S the one who's not in the know. But I don't know what to expect anymore so I just say bring on the Giorgio track.

Tom's Diner is ok, but I can't hear Britney singing the verses. Her voice seems a bit low to me for that, but we'll see.

According to Kyle, it's one of these songs: Suzanne Vega - Tom's Diner The Nylons - Happy Together Jane - It's a Fine Day Housemartins - Caravan of Love Billy Joel - The Longest Time I could totally hear her on "It's A Fine Day" in her sexy, breath voice. It doesn't have a lot of lyrics and isn't terribly exciting unless the instrumental arrangement and that new bridge totally change it up. There was a remake of "It's A Fine Day" by Miss Jane a few years back which sampled the vocals from the original song. |

Brit is gonna slay any song she has to record so I don't care which song she's covering as long as it comes SOON! It's not like I've ever heard of any of the rumored ones so it'll still feel like an original Brit hymn to me anyway.
