"Til It's Gone" is one of the best in her catalogue. No lie.

...anyway.
Britney said that she's going to meet Iggy next week, so I'm hoping that had something to do with the video, since it sounds like the song is already done.

Britney has updated her bio on her twitter page and said goodbye to "'Britney Jean' now available on iTunes" link. I guess she is gearing up for the new era.

In defense of Britney Jean, I don't think it was meant to be a bad album. It wouldn't make sense to release a horrible album to promote a massive residency meant to celebrate an even larger legacy. Most producers said the problem was that the label didn't want to pay the asking price for a lot of the songs-- which, I guess, would make the album worse by default. The problem wasn't that they wanted to release a bad album, but that it was all the label was willing to invest at the time and it wound up that way. Anyway, I don't know if I necissarily mind that she's using a lot of Britney Jean demos since the few that leaked were phenomenal, but something about that is disappointing. I'm just going to assume that bit isn't true for my own sake. Yeah, that's what I was trying to get at when I said they decided it wasn't going to be a good album. The songs that ultimately made the album weren't necessarily chosen b/c quality or but chosen based on whether or not they could get it w/in the budget. That's why I imagine that Britney isn't particularly fond of most songs on BJ (not saying she hates them or anything). In regards to using BJ rejects, according Pop Justice there were a lot of songs from that project that weren't recorded or mastered. So the BJ material that is currently on the upcoming album aren't songs that they had completed and just slapped onto this album. So the songs aren't necessarily in line with the material that actually did make the final cut for BJ and they likely won't have old/outdated vocals and/or production. I don't know if that makes it better or anything.

BJ gave us Work BΓ―tch and Alien so for that reason alone, I'll be grateful for the album's existence.

Billboard and Iggy have been tweeting back and forth about the collab. Iggy posted Billboard's link to her FB page about the collab with the following message: "#βAzaleans Can't wait for you guys to hear this!" It's coming!!

For someone who has had a turbulent life thus far her music is very cheery and happy. I think what I would like to personally see is a 3 step game plan for the next album (it will be short and sweet not going to sit here and list a million and one useless things)
1- LOTS OF URBAN MUSIC 2- Darker more interesting personal material, think "Velvet Rope" personal not sloppy BJ 3- MELODY, bring back the catchy lead singles that had a hook so strong she debuted at 1. Makes the girls breath heavy.
I just want her to come back and show these lame ass pop hunties how its done one last time. but really as long as she aint falling down steps then she is ahead of the game already.

LOL but seriously, I agree with you. Melody is king of all music so that's really important, especially for Brit. And urban/dark is everything that Britney would slay. "Slave 4 U" is the perfect example of what type of sound she should be going for.

Dancing was still stiff, but if only the actual performance had been like that. :(

Had everything gone as planned this would have been a pretty forgettable performance. At least she made it something worth talking about.

Whether stiff dancing or dead in a casket, the song and performance still remains legendary.

I wonder if this was an hour before they let the audience start coming in. A day before. A week before. I still have a lot of questions. LOL

Definitely the day before. Didn't MTV play a commercial or post a clip online of the rehearsal footage?

I just get this feeling that Team Britney are the one's responsible for leaking the Gimme More rehearsal footage. It's working, video's gone viral and has people talking about her. Perfect timing before the single drops. And I'm convinced this is going to be a surprise out of nowhere release on iTunes.
