Can't wait for this new era to start. It looks as though a single could be here in March or April

To be honest, the rehearsal video still isn't that good. I'm not sure how much of it is her or the routine itself, but the whole thing seems really uninspired. It's not much better than what we saw live.

I actually always liked the routine. All was missing was a good outfit and Britney's charisma.

Slight update on the Piece Of Me VIP Packages. Basically, the difference here is the "Ultimate Meet & Greet Package" gets you the autographed poster and a guaranteed front row seat, where as the "Meet & Greet Package" gets you no autograph and you won't be guaranteed a front row seat. So, now you can now meet Britney and get a pic for a little less. Here's the details: Ultimate Meet & Greet Package - $2525.00:- One ticket in the first row of reserved seating - Meet & greet with Britney including a photo op - Backstage access - Autographed special edition Britney poster - Access to the dedicated VIP Check-in located just outside the venue's entrance - Access to the VIP Check-in desk's direct line for any night-of-show questions - A personal escort into the venue using a dedicated entrance to bypass the general public line, including early entry if desired - Commemorative VIP laminate Meet & Greet Package - $1525.00:- One ticket in the first 10 rows of reserved seating - Meet & greet with Britney including a photo op - Backstage access - Special edition Britney poster - Access to the dedicated VIP Check-in located just outside the venue's entrance - Access to the VIP Check-in desk's direct line for any night-of-show questions - A personal escort into the venue using a dedicated entrance to bypass the general public line, including early entry if desired - Commemorative VIP laminate Source: Ticketmaster

Jordan from BH is reporting that the shoot Britney did a few weeks ago was for Billboard Magazine. He's always right when it comes to her mag covers.

Today makes it 6 years since Britney released "If U Seek Amy." :) The Song:- Written By: Max Martin, Shellback, Savan Kotecha, Alexander Kronlund - Produced By: Max Martin - Released: March 10th, 2009 - 3rd single from Britney's 6th studio album, Circus. - 27th single released overall - Single Artwork photographed by Mark Liddell - In the song, Britney is looking for a woman named Amy in a club, and although it appears to be about sex, it is actually about how society perceives her life. - The song sparked controversy due to the lyrics, the FCC threatened to ban the song from playing on radio if Britney's label didn't provide an edited version. Thus, "If U See Amy" was serviced to radio stations. Remixes:Bimbo Jones Radio Remix (2:57) Bimbo Jones Vocal (6:30) Crookers Remix (4:29) Dan McKie Fish Don’t Dance Remix (7:35) - unreleased Doug Grayson Club Mix (5:18) Doug Grayson Radio Mix (4:17) Junior Vasquez Big Room Beats (8:13) Junior Vasquez Big Room Dub (8:43) Junior Vasquez Big Room Instrumental (9:43) Junior Vasquez Big Room Mix (9:43) Junior Vasquez Big Room Synthapella (8:30) Junior Vasquez Club Dub (9:11) Junior Vasquez Club Mix (10:10) Maurice Joshua UK MoJo Mix (6:06) Mike Rizzo Funk Generation Club Mix (7:52) Mike Rizzo Funk Generation Dub (7:52) Mike Rizzo Funk Generation Radio Mix (3:26) Slang Music Group Remix (5:04) - unreleased U-Tern Remix (6:10) Weird Tapes Club Mix (5:14) Weird Tapes Radio Mix (5:14) The Music Video:- Director: Jake Nava - Filmed on February 7th, 2009, at Pacific Palisades, California - Premiered March 12th, 2009 on Britney's official websites and Virgin Mobile's official website. - Features a parody of America's Newsroom reporter Megyn Kelly. - James Montgomery of MTV stated that the video manages to combine elements from her previous music videos, such as the style of "Everytime" and the attitude of "Stronger." - Rolling Stone writer Daniel Kreps compared the party on the video to the 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut and added that "this may be the first Spears video ever crafted strictly with the morally-lax Internet in mind, a brazen clip that doesn't have to tone down its explicit nature lyrically and visually in order to get airplay." Live Performances:- 1st performed on The Circus Starring: Britney Spears Tour.- Performance featured a dance number along with a comedic element with Britney playing "whack-a-mole" with her dancers. - 2nd performance on The Femme Fatale Tour. - Features Britney playing a Marilyn Monroe character as dancers act as photographers taking pictures of her. - Uses a jazz inspired remix of the song, to match the timeframe. Charts & Sales:US Billboard Hot 100: 19 US Billboard Pop Songs: 8 Total US Sales: 1,325,000 Total WW Sales: 1,900,000

TIG gives me nothing. I don't know why people love it so much but it is so basic to me!!!! Same. Give me It Should Be Easy any day over TIG tbh. Both are generic, but at least ISBE is hooky and catchy.

Who has this: If U Seek Amy (Dan McKie Fish Don’t Dance Remix) (7:35) - unreleased The list of remixes is incomplete. Forgot to include the Basshunter Remix (aka the best one). Anyway, turns out I've actually got the Dan McKie Mix, but I only have it in 96kbps. It's not very good though, you're not missing much-- but if you want to hear it I can upload for you? I also don't think it was ever meant to be official. Dan just did it for fun.

So an article on Billboard today says no new album soon, just a string of "great singles." I wonder if Britney will become the first big artist to really eschew albums altogether in favor of just single releases? I could honestly see her doing that and it working well for her. #trendney

Britney Spears graces Billboard: Britney Spears: "I'm gonna do a new album slowly but surely. There's a lot going on with my kids and schools and, you know, adding new sports and stuff like that. I'm gonna try to do my best to do an amazing album, but it's not my full priority right now." She adds with a laugh, "Kids can drive you crazy." Manager Larry Rudolph adds: "Right now we're just concentrating on putting out a few great singles as they come. We're not really talking seriously about a new album yet. Albums just aren't as important in the digital age as they used to be. Britney will get to one eventually, but not right now."

I see them wanting to release singles for the public to be hungry for a Britney album again. They just need to be really good singles for it to work.
Not a bad idea? I don't think she has anything to lose.

Dear Lord, they really are ruining her career bit by bit. Sounds like "they" is Britney, but how is this ruining her career? I think this is one of the smartest moves she could have made. We know an album is coming, it's just not a priority-- her children and her residency are (both of which are probably more profitable to her too, for personal and financial reasons respectively). To compromise, we're still getting singles that are more for the sake of her fans than anything, and might even work in favor of the residency too. They give her more material to perform. Nothing in that article suggested that she's becoming a "singles artist" exclusively. We'll just be waiting a bit for a proper album, but at the very least we're getting material to hold us over until then. I don't get what's disappointing, much less career ruining, about this at all?
