Overall I liked it! It's a step in the right direction, better than Circus, with awesome production, but still many things left to be desired. I liked that most of the hits were included in the setlist. I did miss Hold it against me and If U Seek Amy though. The special effects were really good and the stage was spectacular. Britney also engaged with the audience, albeit briefly, at several times. Her freaky play with a guy from audience was great too (the guy did a great job too!). She had at least 3 dances that reminded me of her old groove: Baby one more time, Me against the music, Do something. Others were fine, but then several were a bit disappointing like I wanna go (many, including me, were dancing in our seats more than her in the stage, which was a bummer). In other songs there was just too much of her walking sexy, strutting and posing, oh and whipping her hair (the best part of her Toxic maybe). But the worse thing, of course, was the obvious lip-syncing. At least try to hide it, no? You cannot humanly sing the overlapping verse and prechorus of Perfume she engaged with the public nicely before the song just to then see her walking closer to audience and doing the best lipping she could. Just like in Circus tour: at least make an effort during the ballads.., doesn't matter if you don't sing perfectly, just sing!!! Anyway. Good to see her more confident on stage anyway. Hope she keeps improving!

Hope she keeps improving! Glad you had a great time at the show! Also, pretty much agree with your criticisms as well. There are some songs I too wish were in the setlist such as the ones you mentioned as well as my personal favorites "Overprotected" and "Born To Make You Happy." However, I know she can only perform so many songs in a 90 minute production and I feel overall the show is a wonderful representation of her 15+ year legendary career. I also agree with your complaints about the lip-syncing. I think most of us have accepted the fact that Britney doesn't really song her uptempo numbers live since she hasn't for most her career save for a few rare occasions. However, there really is no excuse for any ballads to be lip-synced. I think we'd even settle for her singing along to the backing track as long as her mic is turned up high enough to hear her voice. Also, I'm curious, did you enjoy the Blackout section of the show? Gimme More, Break The Ice, and Piece Of Me performances? That section probably features her best dancing in the show.

I'll never understand why people complain about her lip-synching 20 years into her career.
It's something I've gotten over a long, long time ago. Nobody should expect or anticipate a live vocal at this point, or even really wish for one.

Tom's Diner is so hot, it has an almost cinematic vibe to it. And it's arguably the best vocals we've gotten from her since 2008.
Also, I died at this backhanded compliment Moroder made about the collaboration:

I don't care about Tom's Diner but I don't need to when I'm currently doing back flips and cartwheels to Gimme More and all the songs she has delivered. I said this in the Mariah thread where i make my living but this applies here and in the Janet thread. I think these women are beyond being judged by a bunch of online avatars and personalities. You either like what they giving you now or you shut the fuck up and listen to the 100's of classic already provided but no hand wringing and whining allowed #Work is still the shit tho!

This would be more appropro if there were more people complaining about 'Tom's Diner' but so far you're the only one! Well, you and SPREE. Take that as you will! :)

I don't read many posts anymore so I just assumed if I was thinking it, more people were thinking it. I'm shocked Spree don't like it.

In one week a new Britney era is upon us ;( I really hope Pretty Girls is leading an album, I don't want to hear this "singles" thing.

I absolutely have no problem at all with the Singles thing
She can take all the time she wants to prepare an EPIC album a la Blackout or In The Zone, not a half assed dull one like BJ

If she could get the Seinfeld cast together one last time eating at that same diner that would be epic video moment. @britneymanagement. Listen to the Coco. I'm okay with them leaving Kramers racist ass at home.

Finally listened to "Tom's Diner" and this is the best track she's been a part of in awhile (since the singles on Femme Fatale tbh). Have had it on repeat all day and I fully expect to prefer this to "Pretty Girls."

Could it be possible that on May 5th when pretty girls comes out on itunes the rest of an album comes out as well?. That would be a surprise. Saying now just a single release, but doing an album release?

Saying now just a single release, but doing an album release? In my dreams. No, I think they've been pretty adamant about just wanting to do a few singles. I would welcome it, but I don't see it happening.

I feel like people just assume everyone could pull a Beyoncé. Fact is, Drake is the only one to ever do it and he only did it to get out of a contract iirc. That album release was an anomaly and absolutely would not work for Britney.
I'm fine with the singles release. Already went ahead and explained why, but it is a very good idea if they stick to it.

Yup the surprise album for Britney now would be a terrible idea. Let her roll out the singles now and next year she can release the album that would destroy Earth :'(

I definitely wouldn't be surprised if her team thought about a surprise album though, especially after seeing the sales Beyonce and Drake managed to get w/o much promotion. I'm sure just the though of massive album sales w/ very little promo had them salivating.

Surprise album is not a good idea right now.
I don't mind if she releases Singles after singles for now and new album by the end of this year.

The album sales should tell her team that much, and hell, with the ammount of promo she did Britney Jean may as well be a surprise album. Not only that, but it wouldn't look good either. It'd basically be like "oh, look at Britney pulling a BEYONCÉ! Her impact!" If it was that easy then everyone would be dropping surprise albums.

I wasn't disagreeing with you and definitely think that a surprise album is probably not the best route to take but I wouldn't be surprised if they had entertained the idea of it. Like I said, the situation w/ Beyonce and Drake of big sales w/ little promo is probably a dream come true for them.

I can't wait to see her show again. I'm going to wait until 2016. I hope the DVD is released in 2016 and not 2017 hopefully the 2016 shows will include Pretty girls + tom's diner + the 3rd song Larry referenced when saying a "few great singles" or something and 2-3 songs from the album (that Iggy mentioned was ready twice so far).
Hopefully the residency is on track to do 100M before it ends

https://instagram.com/p/2E4BvYH-0u Bradley Stern from Muumuse posted the above on his Instagram account and Britney's vocals on "Tom's Diner" are raw/clear, like Giorgio mentioned some time ago, so I'm wondering which version (the demo or the final one) of the track is.
