I think Slumber Party would have worked so much better as a third single, following an uptempo smash like Love Me Down, If I'm Dancing or Liar (yes, especially Liar). I don't see how this can smash and Make Me couldn't. But whatever, I love the song so I'm glad it's getting exposure.

Slumber Party actually sounds like something Tinashe would (and should) sing, and there's a consistent trend these days in Tinashe features > Tinashe songs. So there's a decent chance this remix will turn out well (talking about the song itself, not the commercial performance) - if it's true. Right now it still seems to be just rumor. They'll probably just cut and paste her into the second verse but I'd prefer that they leave Britney's verses intact and then give T a hot bridge.
That said, Britney and Tinashe are label mates so if true, this is obviously just the label trying to kill two birds with one stone/looking for any and every way to make Tinashe happen except release and promote Tinashe's own music. At least this forced duet partner is someone Tinashe likes.
ETA: There's a 99% chance Tinashe will never be a thing but there was also a 75% to 80% chance Britney's second single wasn't going to get a major push outside of the Jingle Balls, so if diverting whatever coins remain in the "Make Tinashe happen" fund to Brit is what it would take to make RCA put more investment into Slumber Party, fine, I'll take it. I enjoy Tinashe so I'm handling this news better than most others will, lol.
[Sidebar two, at this point I'm convinced that any and all Tinashe hook-ups are really just ways for RCA to break even on their lost investment in her first album. The label may not even need this to be a bona fide hit, they just need it to do well enough.]

Starting to think there won't be any second singles... Same. This is all reeking of an era the label has flat out dropped at this point. Can't believe they didn't at least try, but if we don't get official confirmation of something by the end of the month then they've obviously cut all support.  How about don't spend the entire era budget on the first music video next time RCA? Even if it hadn't ended up scrapped it still would have been an incredibly stupid move. |

Hmmmmm not to be shady but I like Britney Jean better than Prism, Bangerz, Artpop and Beyoncé. And I also like Glory better than Anti, Lemonade & Joanne.
I just find Britney's albums more catchy, and more luxurious to listen to, with almost a non-existent burnout rate.

Glory will forever be amazing. "Make Me..." is one of my favorite Britney singles ever now. I really liked it at first but now I feel like it's one of her signature hits (not to the public, but to me! lol). I really need a music video to "Man on the Moon" because that's another one that I feel is a total Brit classic. Ugh- the whole album slays. Clearly in the holy trinity with ITZ and Blackout, with time I will see how they end up ranking in order.
