Britney was great in Crossroads. There was nothing bad or cringe worthy about her acting like people/critics made it seem like at the time. It was just the "cool" thing to always bash Britney and so they did. Yeah, Crossroads was on the other day and I was thinking about how impressed I was with Britney's performance. Very likable and natural, easy to watch. It's a shame she never did more movies after that -- I can't really imagine her doing anything now :( |

As long as she stays with RCA I don’t see the number of singles changing unfortunately. It’s kind of what they do with artists. At least the ones I follow on RCA typically get one or two singles. And they reap the benefit, or lack thereof.

And they reap the benefit, or lack thereof. That really sucks. I miss the good ol days on Jive Records. Everything was so organized and well planned out. Even the FF era was great because we got 4 singles PLUS the S&M Remix with Rihanna. I wish she'd go on Kylie's BMG label. They seem to know how to handle a proper album campaign and she's releasing her 5th single from Golden. All have been very organized and handled very properly. |

Baby One More Time” on the radio. thought it was so catchy and such a great chorus but I had no idea who it was and did catch the name. I didn’t hear it again on the radio for like a month and during that time I was pissed because I thought I would never hear it again. I’m glad I was wrong! Lol Anyway, im excited about her announcement! |

The first time I heard Baby was actually with the video, on TRL. As you can imagine, I was instantly captivated and hooked. I’m kind of glad my first experience of the song was with the visual. It made for a great 1-2 punch.

I wouldn't say January is entirely out of the question, since POM 1.0 was announced in mid-September 2013 and launched at the end of December 2013. However the E! documentary "I Am Britney Jean" that came out right before the album showed them basically scrambling to get the show together in time so one would think they'd learn from their mistakes if the new residency indeed is launching in January. Willie posted on his IG story that they were back in rehearsals but I'm thinking those are for the Redneck 500 show at the end of this month, rather than for a new residency. |

With the residency starting in February, January would be an ideal time for an album release. It’s the official 20th anniversary of her first album, plus album promo would tie in nicely with Vegas promo. Single dropping November is my bet, but I’d love sooner.

I understand that this is technically the best move for her personally and financially, but as a stan, it's disappointing to see her wasting her career for the past 5 years. She’s been done with her “career” for a while now, at least as most of us are used to defining it. She’s focusing on her legacy and living her best life. I couldn’t be happier for her. Britney just wants to raise her boys and live a happy and comfortable life. She gave us so much in such a short amount of time and went through so much in her life and the media since she was just 17. She has the right to do as she pleases and if that means having her career take a back seat then so be it. As long as she continues to deliver great albums, I'll always be a fan. |
