Sorry but as a huge Britney fan I don't think these videos prove she is "better" at all -- rather they prove she's agitated and frustrated over something that's not even happening? One of my friends (who isn't even a pop culture fanatic) sent me one of her insta stories with the caption "is she ok?"

IMO all we should be doing at this point is praying for her and hoping for the best.

Honestly, I think the more I see these videos, the more...unwell I feel she is. This is based on HER posts (along with the mental heath issues and erratic behaviors and poor decisions that are well-documented), not some online stan campaign or stans trying to deflect. The videos feel frantic, manic, and kinda reminded me of when Mariah, before being properly medicated, was leaving those rambling voicemails for her lambs at 4 AM. Some people see that as a way of an artist communicating directly with a fan base and of course, there is that component, but when you actually look at the content that is being provided by minds that we already know are fractured, it is not a pretty picture. In summary, I agree with dbhmr and have been thinking this for months now, but finally felt the need to say something.

Lynne Spears, her MOTHER who went to COURT with Ms Britney to help her FREE herself is now speaking up!


I love being on the right side of this fan-base the whole time! ;) On a serious note though, the fans who are saying #FreeBritney is ridiculous ARE the ridiculous ones. All Free Britney means is that we want her out of an invasive and disgusting conservatorship that stops her from living her life as a free, ADULT woman. I'm glad Lynne is speaking up more on her team's gross ways.

Hopefully fans who think we should be "minding our business" start to wake up a little bit. The way some of the fans who don't want to open their eyes are acting remind me of MJ in his last days where a lot of fans would get pissed when others would question his team/family or whoever was around him in his final years. The echoes of "Leave him alone it's his private life!! Respect him!" are very familiar in this thread regarding Britney and the situation she's in right now. No I DON'T exactly know what's going on in her private life but when I see her fighting to be freed from a conservatorship and her own mother is now speaking out more about it- I'm going to keep my eyes and mind open on anything that can be fishy. Nothing is ever as it seems; especially when it comes to famous people with a lot of money and power- sometimes the craziest theories are usually what are actually true. They may seem unbelievable but the music industry is filled with crazy s**t especially with someone of Britney's level of money, influence and power.

I think both sides of this argument are wrong. I think she clearly has some issues...who doesn’t? And I think there is some clear shadiness going on from her “family” and team. Mostly I feel so terrible for her and I hate that strangers are even discussing this. At the same time, where there’s smoke there’s fire, and this thing is smoking big time.

I have one huge positive takeaway. An independent review has been ordered. To me that means that the court will get to the bottom of this and decide what is what. They will have access to information that we do not, and should not.

Regardless of how this shakes out, I think it’s clear at this point that she feels victimized. Prior to all of this coming out, I would have readily agreed that her own fan base is the biggest culprit of said victimization. Her team and her father...I just never would have dreamed in a million years that they could be exploiting her. I still don’t want to believe that and I’m not sure that I do. I’m glad this review is happening and I hope she gets the closure she is looking for from it.

I don't believe a word he says, especially since he also says the sources say that Lynne and Britney haven't spoke in 10 years and have had like zero relationship when a simple google search will show Britney & Lynne have been hanging out multiple times a year together & always looking happy to be together. Looks like her team is just trying to paint a certain picture to the public as always. Her team definitely spoke with him but gave him false information and paid him to film a video about it. Because we'll see how they decided to sue Anthony from AbsoluteBritney for saying comments were being deleted from her instagram but I'll guarantee you we won't see Perez being sued for saying Britney "will DIE!!!" because her sources ARE putting that into the media for whatever reason- also him saying she has huge substance abuse problems? I can't... she passed all her drug tests all throughout 2007 which would have been the only year where it would be slightly believable she did drugs. It's all so contrived and gross. Her team is so nasty & will keep pushing out this "Britney WILL DIE WITHOUT US" narrative. It's a very declarative and dangerous statement to make and it's her OWN team and people that are pushing it out. Very sad and ridiculous.

Tom's Diner is one of her best offerings. The fact that her version ends after the 3rd verse, leaving us on a cliffhanger about what happened after she 'raised her head' still gives me the chills. Such a perfect and subtle way to emote the pure anxiety, claustrophobia and unease lots of people feel (in the past I did too) whenever they find themselves in a crowded public place. I can only imagine how much she connects to those lyrics given her wild past and how those years permanently impacted/damaged her psyche.

I honestly think it depends on the outcome of these conservatorship reviews happening this summer. The “meetings” Instagram post was encouraging though. I get the impression that an album is at least partially completed though (Danja and others seemed pretty far along in their comments) and that there are just the personal issues to get through.
