I saw "Once Upon A One More Time" on Broadway last night and loved it. Aside from how well they adapted the songs to stage (KILLER arrangements and band), it was legitimately funny from top to bottom. Most of the cast (aside from the lead woman, sorry girl) was incredible. Justin Guarini really carries that show and was absolutely electric. Just leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else in the cast (with maybe the exception of the Evil Step Mother who got a standing ovation for her take on "Toxic" which was an absolute show stopper). I do hope they make it, but for the size of the theatre there were noticeably a lot of empty seats which does not bode well.

Good to see as of today that it doesn't look like Broadway will be shutting down because of the teamsters strike. That would certainly be the nail in the coffin. They've only been on for about a month so there's still time, but they need word of mouth to keep this thing going.

Go see it if you're in NYC. It's 2.5 hours (including a 15 minute intermission), but goes by in the blink of an eye!

Welp... closing on September 3rd. :(

It was an incredibly expensive show to make to begin with (investors put up nearly $20 million). I had a bad feeling when I went last month and saw the attendance, but this article confirms it:

The closing notice comes as the musical failed to catch on with critics and with Broadway audiences, with the show reporting capacities in the 50 percent range for the past seven weeks. In the last publicly reported week of grosses, ended Aug. 13, the musical grossed its lowest eight-performance week yet, bringing in $512,008.

Edit: Despite all that, I hope Guairini gets recognized in some form or another. He was beyond incredible.

it's another way to add seasoning evenly since vegetables will naturally soak up the salt, but it also keeps the cutting board fresh. you usually do it on wood though so idk maybe she's just used to that, but it works

For Sam's New Apartment

Sam Asghari packed up his belongings and left Britney Spears, but that doesn't mean he has to foot his own bill for his new living quarters -- Britney's the one picking up the tab, TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to the estranged pair tell us Britney's paying $10,000 a month for Sam's new pad in one of the most high-end apartment buildings in Los Angeles.

We're told $10k is the cost of a standard unit in the high-rise, but Sam was able to work out a deal for a better apartment at the base price.

Sam and Britney had an acrimonious breakup, so on the surface it seems surprising she'd foot the bill for his living quarters. But our sources say Britney's handlers thought it wise to make the gesture. As we reported, Sam's lawyer is making sounds he will challenge the prenup, and it will almost certainly end with Britney writing a check to Sam. Sources say the amount will be several hundreds of thousands of dollars in the end.

I saw the musical SIX last weekend and Katherine Howard is based off of Britney and Ariana. Every time I hear her song "All You Wanna Do," I can't help but thinking how cathartic it would be for Britney to perform that song.

I'm trying to manifest a version of the show where the artists the songs are based off of perform the show as a one-off special.

She truly did! That night was an incredible night for Britney and her fans. It truly looked like she was transported from 2002-2003. A return to form. It makes me sad seeing clips like that because now we've got her half-dressed with matted hair, permanently smeared black under eyes, and humping the floor while provocatively dancing to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". Maybe it's just me, but I genuinely feel far more concern for her these days than I did when she shaved her head.

Did I say that? No. Stop putting words in my mouth because you don't like that I'm not worshipping/or ignoring her behavior. I loathe Jamie and I don't think any capable adult should be under a conservatorship, but that doesn't mean I can't be concerned about troubling/odd/noticeably erratic behavior. I nor anyone else is "keeping her from living" by expressing their opinion on a forum she will never see. That's absurd.

^I've always heard, and I think the producers even said they wanted someone with a bigger voice, so they went with Christina. I don't think it was even ever offered to her though.
