Wow... I wonder if this happened around the time she did her MTV Diary episode (2001, maybe?)... I remember watching that as a kid and getting a weird vibe from her (like she was super sad).
I remember some new clips from that interview got leaked years later and she even cries while talking about having a family/children... that's even more heartbreaking now.

I understand people will have very strong reactions to this, but how about we not pass full judgement until we can better gauge as best we can all aspects of the situation and until we hear fully from Justin's team? That is a very serious allegation, and also a very private matter, something that happened between the two of them a long time ago and that I'm sure they both wrangled with. Not taking any sides yet. Also, if it is ultimately a woman's choice, of course there is absolutely nothing wrong with having an abortion.

If JT wasn’t ready to be a father (and that’s understandable at that age), then he should have used protection or abstained. He forced Britney to get an abortion, bragged about taking her virginity and dragged her name through the mud with all those songs. He really is something else. This tea and the fact that his band mates have been vocal about how he strung them along waiting. Welp, there goes his comeback. It was already suspect.

The way she describes the 13 years and performing, everything in context just makes so much sense now. I was an ardent defender back in the day during Circus, FF, etc. when people criticized her for her performing skills, how robotic she was, etc. Now looking back, we're lucky we even got that. She could've easily just said f**k it all; at least she tried to give us something while she was holding back and being forced to do it. She's a professional, of course, so she always got the job done, but now hearing that her heart was never in it just makes so much sense.

People is pulling some straight-up sabotage with that cover photo. Just not a good pic at all. As if Justin wasn't toast already, good luck tip toeing around that landmine launching his next era. Yah I hate to be this way but it is disappointing. I wish they would've picked a better photo; I'm confounded how it was possible that was the best picture they got out of the shoot (and according to PEOPLE's editor in chief on CBS this morning, it was indeed a shoot) |

Well that wasn’t on my bingo card for the book. I wonder what other surprises we are in store for. I hope this is cathartic for her.
I really like the People cover. It’s natural and full of energy. She’s been looking phenomenal on her insta. I would love her to be recording music, but I only want that for her if she wants that for her.

For years I have disliked JT, but in the back of my mind I kept thinking maybe I wasn't completely justified in doing so...but I have now I'm glad to be proven correct.  After reading the People article and the other excerpts, I really hope Britney can finally move forward. I wonder if she's gonna formally announce her retirement in the last chapter. |

It does look like karma has come around on him with this. Like a full return to Saturn kind of moment. First the Janet documentary, then the Britney documentary, and now with this book. I can tell he's probably really mad at how this throws a wrench in all of his promo plans with the Trolls film, the potential N'SYNC reunion, and his next music era. Just crazy how she completely reforecast his whole PR and comeback campaign.
It's stunning in a heartbreaking way, just how completely wrong the media got this story with how he casted Britney as the villain, himself as the wrong golden boy, and how much that held up for so long, and how much the media just didn't question any of it. Britney's reveal about the abortion just paints an entirely different picture of what happened and recasts the entire storyline. I feel like there's a Broadway show in this somewhere as horrible as it is.
Even the songs themselves -- Cry Me A River and Everytime are just completely different responses. A man bullying a woman bleeding and crying over her lost baby, while he tells her to cry more...
I just...
I can't even. And this is on top of the fact that she kept this a secret for nearly 23 years, because she didn't want to make him look bad. The less said about his other revenge tracks the better. It'd be sadistic to go through them at this point, considering how much and how often he revisited his rage against her for sequel tracks.

What is coming to light now have been rumors circulating around the Britney fandom for years. It's weird to see it be confirmed. I do hope it is helping Britney heal and that she sees all the support she has. Not surprising at all. Any guesses on who? For some reason Jennifer Love-Hewitt popped into my head lol. She was running through those boybands back in the day and giving them hell 😂. Assuming it's only one person (and not multiple women).
