I would've thought that "Stars on the Water" and "Texas" were singles for George Strait. My local stations in Austin still play those two songs quite regularly. Third in line to those two would probably be his "Texas Cookin'" song as that is one that seems to get some regular airplay in Texas.

WKCQ Saginaw played Tim McGraw's cover of Tiny Dancer a lot even though it was never a single. That was really unusual for them.
WATZ frequently plays album cuts if an artist is performing locally. I remember they played almost all of the Startin' with Me album when Jake Owen performed here in 2006, and likewise with David Nail and Jon Pardi more recently.
Not long after Jeff Foxworthy released Have Your Loved Ones Spayed or Neutered, they played a track off that. It was the one about his hypochondriac wife: "You do NOT have testicular cancer. You don't even have testiculars!"
They also play Joe Diffie's version of My Give a Damn's Busted almost as often as they play Messina's.

WKCQ Saginaw played Tim McGraw's cover of Tiny Dancer a lot even though it was never a single. That was really unusual for them. It was a single, just not to country radio. It was a Top 20 hit on AC radio though and it got enough crossover airplay to reach the Top 50 of the country charts. Considering that was during his radio prime, it wouldn't surprise me that some country stations would want to play it anyway.

Carrie Underwood- I'll Stand By You.
My local Country station used to play this a lot, and they played her two duets with Rascal Flatts (Bless The Broken Road & Life In The Fastlane) frequently, too.

WYRK played Justin Moore's "Redneck Side" one time a few years ago which made me think it was a single

I don't think "The Good Life" by Trent Willmon was ever "technically" a single. Sure it reached #38 on Billboard and #41 on R&R, but according to R&R numbers it was only on a couple Texas stations that helped it reach its chart position.

Woah; I had no idea "Sin Wagon" wasn't an official single.

I've always really liked "I Look At You" and it still pops up on my playlist from time to time. And don't even get me started on "As Far As It Goes"...MCA and George were just sitting on a hit and didn't release it. It easily should have been the lead single for that album. I can only assume there was something behind the scenes with that song that didn't allow it to get released.

Faith Hill - "There Will Come A Day"
Country stations played it after September 11th, enough that it ended up making the top 40 (that was after radio all but rejected "There You'll Be" earlier in the year). I always thought that, since radio showed such an interest, it should have received a push (though I never would have chosen it as a single if radio hadn't grabbed onto it).

"Sin Wagon" by the Dixie Chicks was the first one that came to mind.
I was very surprised it was never released as an official single... to me it was one of their signature songs!

I never heard "Sin Wagon" on any of my local stations. I actually heard Cledus T. Judd's parody "Wife Naggin'" well before I heard the original, and kept wondering why he parodied an album cut (the only time he ever did).
WATZ played, of all things, "The All American Two-Week Summer Family Vacation" by Ray Stevens a few times in the mid-2000s. If I didn't already own the corresponding album (Classic Ray Stevens from 1993), I most certainly would've thought it was new.
WKJC sometimes played Dusty Drake's "Too Wet to Plow" during a morning farm-themed show, and I kept wondering if that was ever a single. Nope. (However, said show usually opened with "How Do You Milk a Cow" by Cledus T. Judd, which was.)
And let's not forget all the stations that play George Jones' non-single "Finally Friday" on Fridays.

Yet another one WATZ spun a lot even though it wasn't a single: the Rick Trevino cover of "Walk Out Backwards".
I also remember hearing them play "Pink Flamingos" by Tracy Byrd at least once.

I literally found out like a year ago that "Just Not Today" was not a single for Kenny Chesney. Classic 2000s Chesney and I remember hearing it a lot. Somehow I did because I know all the words to it. Either it was spun a few times or was used to promote something. Anybody remember ?

It was rumored to be the fourth single off Poets & Pirates but they ended up going with "Better As A Memory" instead.

I don't know why but I always thought Little Big Town Shut Up Train was a single as I usually heard it on the radio a few times a week in mid-late 2011. Should've been a single though.

I thought Shut up train was released and it flopped? No, it wasn't released to radio; just a music video.

What about Games by Luke Bryan? It peaked around 20 on country airplay I don't know the exact number and the only reason it didn't keep going is because his official single Kick The Dust Up was released and stations obviously jumped on that. I still hear it on the radio occasionally.

I still hear "Games" on WATZ and WCEN all the time. Much better song than "Kick the Manure Up" in my opinion.

And 106.1 the Twister Luke should've put games on hold for the kill the lights album instead of kick the dust up. Games is so maturer
