Ignore the incredible high-pitched video. All other videos of this song have been taken down. :(
This has quickly become my favorite off of the album. It's flawless in every way.

The entire second verse of this song gives me chills. I don't think her vocals have ever been better, especially when she sings "he's so bad but he does it so well."
I said "no one has to know what we do" His hands are in my hair His clothes are in my room

Double post alert..
This had better be released. I hope Taylor recognizes the attention it's getting and won't let it become the Enchanted/ATW of the album.

This is really good. I want OOTW next and then this as the final single.

Looks like this will be the fifth single from 1989.

Out Of The Woods and All You Had To Do Was Stay may as well remain album gems I guess.

Good choice. I was hoping for New Romantics or this. As much as I like Out of the Woods, I'm very burned out on it.

5/5 perfect choices holy shit :'(
This better smash as it is definitely in my top 3 Swift songs of all time with Safe & Sound and Enchanted. I want a HUGE rollout for this a la Last Friday Night/Bad Blood.
And if she follows this with OOTW this era would be absolutely perfect/brilliant.

Not upset about this but I still need Out of the Woods to close out the era. Wonder how the video will come out considering Style's fit this song too well.

Really? This over All You Had to Do Was Stay? For comparison purposes, since this era has been a carbon copy of Katy's Teenage Dream, I don't see this performing on the same level as Last Friday Night.

I can live with this. It's not my favorite song on the album, but I like that she's switching it up and slowing it down a bit. With her momentum, I can't imagine this not going #1 on CHR and it should definitely do well on the HAC & AC formats too.
I'm going to predict this peaks in the lower half of the Hot 100 top ten... assuming the video is more in the vein of "Style" and less like "Black Space". It probably won't sell as well as the other singles for obvious reasons, but I'm predicting it still goes platinum.

So glad this is getting released! :'( Out of the Woods can close the 1989 era in Winter. AYHTDWS can stay an album track where it belongs.

All You Had To Do Was Stay wouldn't even stand a chance against This Is How We Do, let alone Last Friday Night

Great choice! It was either this or "Out of the Woods". I hope it can hit #1 on CHR and HAC to keep her streak of #1s going, even though CHR might be difficult because it's not exactly radio-friendly. I'm not sure if her momentum right now can take this song all the way to #1 on CHR...
I love the fact that Taylor's showing another side of 1989 and her music in general outside the core fanbase. I was afraid it was going to stay a fan favorite that never got released as a single a la "All Too Well" (to country radio).

I guess it's not necessary to mention this, but "Wildest Dreams" is my favourite track off 1989, so the fact that she's releasing it as a single is amazing! <3 "Out of the Woods" gets shunned again!? Who does she think she is? Maroon 5? DYING! Hope "Out of the Woods" will be released next though~

It's the right choice. After Bad Blood, it was the album track that had retained the most buzz/enthusiasm since release day.
I'm a huge fan of All You Had to Do Was Stay and How You Get the Girl, but as someone correctly said in another thread, they do feel more reflective of her Red era. They're *better*, but I'd ultimately put them in the same bucket as "22," which obviously wasn't the hit many hoped it would be.
Out of the Woods *is* superb, but the fanfare died down immensely once the album came out (I'm pretty sure freaking Welcome to New York has held up better). As much as I like the song, it could be a case of us having our "Internet blinders" on (since it has more of "cool pop" vibe) - I don't know if it's as resonant with the casual Taylor Swift stan.
Both New Romantics and Wonderland are excellent and radio-friendly, but they didn't generate NEARLY as much sales interest upon iTunes release as I'd imagine anyone expected. That's particularly true of "New Romantics," which I know many were pushing as the standout of the album. I still see them as possible 6th singles, but they weren't hot enough to leapfrog Wildest Dreams.
