I just remembered this performance, my god this is like the BEST VMA performance ever IMO, it was just perfect Killed vocals 24/7, outfit and set was awesome, piano playing pro skills, bloooooood, it captivates the message of the song perfectly in this performance I desperately miss how exciting she made the pop game for those few years. Other artists stepped up their performances after they saw the feedback from all the effort she was putting into hers. Award shows were so much more entertaining back then |

A-YO hasn't been released (it was going to be #2 but MR happened), and JW is technically not a single yet.
I'm thinking they'll wait and see what happens with MR before giving JW any radio adds date.

I think "A-YO" was originally going to be the second single, but it was changed to "Million Reasons". |

The 'John Wayne' video is a fucking mess but it reminded me a lot of The Fame Monster Gaga. She's smart to sell her nostalgia like this. Wonder if there's any significance to her shooting herself with the Bayonetta heels?

That John Wayne video was so kitschy and I lived!!! First minute was alright but then it gets really intense and fun, I liked it a lot. I think it would make an awesome spring time single. Once the weather starts getting nice and blasting this with the windows down

I don't hate the music video for The Edge of Glory but the song deserves a much better video. It's good for the 24 hours or however long they supposedly had to pull it together.

Just remembered how this performance honestly made up for the lack of an MV for the song, it's just so damn good from both Gaga & Kelly and the theme works, and my god I get chills at all the high notes

I literally cannot even describe how much I hate the Edge of Glory video. Like, seriously, years later and I am still bitter. I don't care if I sound ridiculous  I think part of why the "Edge of Glory" video was such a disappointment is that she was on a hot streak for videos prior to that. The stretch from "Poker Face" to "Judas" was an onslaught of back-to-back amazing videos. Plus, prior to releasing the "Edge of Glory" video, we had that whole tease about some epic underwater sequence with mermaids, etc. It was just jarring to go from all that to what the end product was, especially since it's such an epic song. |
