As more listeners are exposed to the songs, sales should pick up. Certain songs only sell because it's played on the radio every 20 minutes.

As of 11AM EST, 8AM PST the song has received 95 spins.
The stations that have played it the most today (3 spins) are Y100 in Miami and WKSL in Jacksonville, FL.
Cumulus Media has been supporting a lot too the last 2-3 days.
We are heading towards 200 spins again today.

Does anyone know if any stations are playing a remix or is it the album/radio edit version?

How can some be disappointed with these airplay updates considering her age and the fact the song has been out for almost 2 months prior to getting any play. At least stations didn't completely drop it when the small deal and Grammy/video hype was over.

I'm truly impressed that the song had been getting 200+ updates for the last couple of days. Any song for a young artist starts this way on the radio (excluding radio deals) and she is approaching a bullet of 1000. Gooo Madge :'( And please let's stop saying a Bubbling Under smash, this statement is plain stupid

Terrific update!! Official Top 40 here we come! Will she be the oldest solo female ever to do so?

Madonna tied Steven Tyler today.
He peaked at no37 back in 2011 with It Feels So Good at age 62 and then collapsed quickly. It featured background vocals from Nicole Scherzinger though so there was a small element of a hot young popstar in the song. LOL.
She will surpass him tomorrow and everytime she reaches a new peak position she will extend the record!

Right now she's younger so getting higher then no.37 at a younger age (then Tyler) is like saying well Rihanna charted higher then no.37 so now she has the record. There's always going to be someone younger who goes higher. When Madonna reaches 62 and she out peaks Steven Tyler then she holds the record of oldest with the highest chart entry at Top 40. You could indeed say Madonna will have the highest chart peak on Top40 for anyone 55 or younger, (and the solo female lead) but Steven Tyler is still the record holder.

Well, if she hits top30, we can't say the oldest person ever to hit top30?
Also, I can't understand your Rihanna example.
When Madonna hits no36, no one will have ever done that before at such age.

Steven Tyler had a one day Clear Channel deal anyway and got played every hour the first day which gave him the opportunity to reach no37.

Cher hit top 40 at pop radio with "Song For the Lonely" in 2002, but she was a bit younger than Madonna is now. So, if LFL airplay keeps strong through the weekend, she will be the oldest female to crack top 40.

It will be something for the history books.

Gaah, I am so excited, I hope these spin updates continue.
I didn't care about chart positions before and I just wanted good music but this is like the good icing on the cake:P

Some right and some wrong here. Madonna tied Steven Tyler's *peak* today, but she did not tie his record. She is younger than he was, so it is literally impossible for her -- in 2015 -- to set the record for "oldest act to reach the Top 40." If/when she hits #36, however, she will set a NEW record for oldest person to reach that point on the chart. She will continue to set that record each time "Living for Love" rises on the chart. I believe that's what you're saying in your last sentence. But the Rihanna example doesn't make sense, because there are artists older than Rihanna who hit #36. If I'm following the history in this thread correctly, there is no one older than Madonna who did so.

It would be nice if it hit the Hot 100 next week.
On the plus side: - This week saw Drake / Grammys / 50 Shades of Grey all having an impact on the charts. Some of that may diminish this week perhaps causing a few songs to fall below. - Radio is picking up speed
On the minus side: - Madonna got some of that Grammy bump too with sales for LFL early in the week getting a boost. Unless it significantly starts climbing on iTunes it will almost definitely have a lower sales total this upcoming week.
On the ??? side: - How's streaming going? I have no idea if the video is gaining or losing momentum - same with any other streaming offerings (actually I don't know if LFL is on Spotify or streaming services?)

I'm honestly surprised at how low sales are. Not that I expected this to be a huge smash, but I would've thought sales would be the strongest of the 3 components, not the weakest. I can only assume that the early release of the tracks really watered down the "fan effect" of buying a new single. Frankly she should've held on to Living for Love and released it as part of the second batch of pre-order songs rather than way back in December. This exactly. She hasn't been a radio favourite in ages but still managed to get hits from first singles. I just wish LFL could somehow reach the Hot 100.

Yea she definitely should not have had LFL in the first batch. Essentially revealing the lead single months before actual release date. Stupid move.

I checked the website for our local top 40 station here in Little Rock (Cumulus-owned) and they played it for the first time at 5 a.m. this morning. Looking forward to seeing how often it gets played.

br- LFL is on Spotify, but it was not in its top 200 (USA) for this past week. it's distanced itself a little bit from "Bitch I'm madonna"; at the end of last week, the two were closer in total plays.
It's also not on the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart. Maybe with increased airplay, audio and visual streams will improve.

Newbie here........I must say, this era has gone off to even for La M a bit crae crae. Can honestly say as refreshing as this music is, I thought LFL would not be played period because of how long ago it was released. So, long story short....She knows what shes doing!!! Somehow, someway LFL is slowly blossoming on the airplay chart. A bit shocking no love from AC or Hot AC. I'm actually enjoying this watching her defy the odds, yet again. How high on the top 100 is the question. I've grown up with every era from the beginning. 8 years old and today, every era is as exciting if not more than the 1 before. It saddens me that with every release I fear no more new Madonna on the radio. So lets rejoice and no matter what know how many other artists out there could have a sizeable hit with longevity on pop radio today?? Madonna, that's who!! #livingforlove #rebelheart #bitchshesmadonnathatswhy

I live in redneck hell and on a station that blatantly made fun of Madonna every time the played GMAYL, this is HUGE!!!! Every phone call made to them when it was released, the said it would only be played for 2 weeks before they dropped it. SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!
