The published panel just changed. Get ready for not normal updates tomorrow and welcome Venus from Sirius XM! LFL's most passionate supporter. They have been playing the song on there since Christmas. Effective with the airplay week of FEBRUARY 15-21, 2015, the following changes will be made to the MEDIABASE published panel. Data will be reflected late FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20th. Top 40 Add WWAC/ATLANTIC CITY Add WZNF/BILOXI Add WMFQ/GAINESVILLE - Spinning LFL Add WNVZ/NORFOLK Moves From Rhythmic Add WRDW/PHILADELPHIA Moves From Rhythmic Add WJJS/ROANOKE - Spinning LFL Add XHTZ/SAN DIEGO Moves From Rhythmic Add KYLD/SAN FRANCISCO Moves From Rhythmic - Spinning LFL Add WVKS/TOLEDO - Spinning LFL Add KSZR/TUCSON - Spinning LFL Add VENUS SIRIUSXM - LFL's no1 supporter. I think they might want to keep Rhythmic a strictly urban-based panel, hence why these ex-rhythmic stations got the boot.

*If* the label is concerned about single sales, it may do well to release a single separate from the pre-order or, the version with MNEK vocals- what did happen to that one? Not that people can't find it if they want it, but it would bring more attention to it.

the version with MNEK vocals- what did happen to that one? . It looks like that full version has remained unreleased. Some of the remixes that were released/promoted contain a few backing vocals and harmonies. Some of the newer remixes serviced this week have more of them, but not that much.

Yeah today's update looks inflated due to the new stations. IDK what the gains actually were; I don't have the post-change numbers for yesterday below #30. 86 35 MADONNA Living For Love 1498 80 1418 9.684 +321 Spins +304 Bullet +1.781 Audience MCU!!

Has Z100 played it yet today? I have listened for two hours through Sirius and haven't heard it :( What about KIIS FM in Los Angeles?

According to Jason over on madonnanation forum who tracks the airplay, several clear channel stations have abandoned the song today and it indicates that the song has peaked already.
Not surprised

I think that's comparing this Saturday's play against today's play? The rolling bullet's likely going to drop with tomorrow's info, as it's the eighth day since the notable play started. We'll know for sure of its direction over the next handful of days.
If this past week was the best airplay it's going to see, so be it. I said prior I'd be OK with a week inside Billboard's Mainstream Top 40/Pop Songs chart. More would be nice, but at this stage, it'd be expecting too much, me thinks.

So then there must have been some sort of radio deal, if that is the case, right?

Some Clear Channel stations did not play it today, some did. Z100 played it, WIHT in DC played it, Kiss Fm in Boston played it 3 times. Kiss fm in Chicago did not play it though. There are stations on both sides.
Cumulus stations have been playing a lot today. Much more than in previous days.
However, it looks like we are heading towards a negative update tomorrow. Probably something like -50? -70? We will see. A syndicated show played it too last Saturday so it got spins from that too on stations that never played it.

Z100 and KISS and some large stations are still on board. I can't see abandoning this that fast. Because of the good week with AirPlay with 10M maybe there will be more adds. Regardless , who ever thought LFL would get this much play and I'm extremely proud of Madonna for her 56 top 40 for Billboard's Pop Songs chart. It will be her 56th entry, the same number as her age and over 30 years of legendary status. Who else but the queen can claim that iconic status?

I just wish they would promote songs from the album in ways other than radio…it helps album sales. Im afraid her album will come and go in 10 weeks like MDNA.

It has done far better than any of us could have hoped for given the situation with the leaks and the rush release in December and then no new promo or appearances until the Grammy performance. Even if it does well just for a week or two, that's still something. It has done better than some other current artists' singles. I just wish they would promote songs from the album in ways other than radio…it helps album sales. Im afraid her album will come and go in 10 weeks like MDNA. There is still some time left to do something for the album. Hopefully there will be a few traditional promo appearances with performances during the week of the album's release. I just don't want them to go straight to the tour like last time. The album is getting some of the best reviews from critics and fans right now so I don't think they would not try to use that to their advantage. I don't expect them to do that much since they did so little during the last two eras.

This coming week will also be her live performance at the Brits... Maybe that can help with more buzz, streaming, sales, etc.

Even if the airplay stopped right now, we should all be thankful it got this high. WAAAAAY higher than my expectations. Plus we got a #1 Dance hit. I'm happy :)

I'm still hoping airplay won't drop until sales pick up.

It's comfortably at No. 35, even with another expected loss tomorrow.
Just posting this for fun, as it is in no way an apples-to-apples comparison, but here was GMAYL's eighth-day effect after the notable play started:
38 22 MADONNA Give Me All Your Luvin' 3965 1005 2960 30.834
-604 Spins -1609 Bullet -8.954 Audience

^^^It is so wrong that GMAYL did better than LFL ……..LFL is so superior to GMAYL which is probably her worst first single off an album by far ever!

The charts are not about which song is better than another. A number of factors come into play- and with GMAYL, it was about hype/promo and leading up to the SB. Not to mention that it was three years ago.

Wasn't GMAYL played every hour, while LFL just some kind of random play deal?

^Yah, it was hourly for three days (excluding during syndicated-program shows) through the start of the SB that Sunday. Hence, why I said it wasn't an apples-to-apples comparison. :)

Not to mention that it was three years ago. In fact if we look back to big artists career we'll end surprised by the fact that some of the biggest hits are ignored right now and some of the flops passed the test of time. The airplay for this song is good till now, but if the sales don't get better i don't see radio supporting this for a long time

^Likely not. The way they went about the release of this single was questionable from the start- releasing LFL in December and letting it fester. Had it been withheld and released in the last couple of weeks, and, especially not being tied to the pre-order, it likely would be seeing much better weekly sales numbers. But, here nor there, as that's not how it went down.
Having signed to a touring company, rather than a record label (with Interscope distributing the music), showed where her mindset is- which is fine, as she's hugely successful in touring. But it shows that she is not too bothered with trying to score hit singles- which, in part, could be because she's very aware of the challenges in that respect, with appealing to the youngest demographics.
Not that the album is going to be a big million-plus-selling album, but it had a pre-order splash and probably will open with decent numbers upon release. The tracks (including LFL) probably will see increased sales and streaming that week, too (whether enough to dent the charts is another story).
We're a little more than two weeks away from the release, and I'm excited to listen to the new music. :)

If sales don't budge, in fact this would put an end to the "radio is ageist" debate. It's a bit like what the BBC is saying: their AirPlay reflects their listeners' interests. They haven't banned her song because she's old, but if there is no interest from the listeners, they're not going to play it. Is radio going to force M down people's throats because she is getting good reviews and because she's an icon? Just something to think about.

They go hand-in-hand. The younger demographics aren't as interested in listening to/buying older acts, at comparable levels, that they are the younger ones.
