What's the basis for these estimates? I see, for instance, that Imagine Dragons is listed at 173,000, but Billboard has that listed at 172,000 (and that is how the official data would round).

^He must round up for his estimates or it could just be a typo/error.

^He must round up for his estimates or it could just be a typo/error. I guess what I meant is - are these meant to be rounded versions of the actual data or "estimates" based on some other method of calculation? The use of the term estimates is what is throwing me - as if it was actual data, why wouldn't you just call it actual data? By the same token, these are a bit too close to the actual numbers for me to think they're just guesswork. The Taylor Swift number also looks a bit off this week (but was right on the money last week). Billboard says 753K YTD. www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6487463/stevie-wonder-returns-top-40-grammy-salute

The ID album sold 172,378 in the sales week - add in SDV sales and the total rounds to 173,000.

The ID album sold 172,378 in the sales week - add in SDV sales and the total rounds to 173,000. Fair enough, but I'm not sure that would explain the Taylor Swift disparity (753K was published this weekend and listed as a cumulative total rather than a weekly total). Plus, that still doesn't really illuminate the nature of these "estimates." Are they the same numbers Billboard/Soundscan use or something different? And if it's the former, why wouldn't be they be identified as actuals rather than estimates (rounding doesn't make something an "estimate")? Apologies for being nitpicky/annoying on this - I just gets nuts about unsourced data and am curious whether people are correct to cite this guy's data as fact.

They are labeled "estimates." Actual sales no longer leak. This all we have now. I'm extremely thankful for the estimates.

^ Likewise. Anyway, 1989 and Drake's album could be on its way to be the first albums in 2015 to sell one million (and the first 2015 album to do that belongs to Drake).

How does 1000 Forms of Fear rank compared to other #1 albums in terms of their performance hitting and after hitting #1 (seeing as it was lucky to get #1 lmao / and before you think I'm coming for Sia I'm not, my literal queen)

^I'm not sure what you are asking. But...
July 26, 2014 Billboard 200 debut: 01 51,612 1000 FORMS OF FEAR Sia
It was #36 on the Billboard 200 last week.
I think it's doing very well considering.

I think the whole top 5 right now has a good chance to get over one million by the end of the year. Ed maybe will need another hit (TOL made the album sold at a higher rate and without another hit maybe 1 million will be too far)

Just viewed the 2014 version of this thread, and saw only four albums crossed the 1 million mark by the end of the year. This year should clear that with ease, though maybe not two 3 million + sellers like last year. Taylor and Drake should hit that with ease. Kendrick and Mumford and Sons will likely both top one million as well.

Ed maybe will need another hit (TOL made the album sold at a higher rate and without another hit maybe 1 million will be too far) "Photograph" and "Nina" could be hits if handled right. They've handled this era flawlessly but I think their first major misstep has been the Rudimental "Bloodstream" remix, it's a good song but the remix adds nothing and it's not single material.

Ed has an advantage, he will release Bloodstream in UK first, if it doesn't work, he can change the single on the USA
