Was trying to be conservative ;) Possible million sellers that are out now: Sam Smith, Meghan Trainor, Luke Bryan, The WeekndDefinite million sellers to be released: AdelePossible million sellers to be released: Justin Bieber, One Direction, random Christmas albumPossbile million sellers, unconfirmed: BeyonceUnlikely to sell million even if released: Rihanna, Kanye WestSo to reflect... Sam Smith will cross 1 million. Meghan Trainor might. It would take a very big boost for Luke Bryan or The Weeknd to get there. Adele did it in less than 24 hours. Justin Bieber will cross 1 million. One Direction won't. No new big Christmas album. Pentatonix and Buble had big sales this week but they won't clear a million by the end of the year. Unless there is a major surprise release tomorrow ( Beyonce or Drake), I'm thinking that's it. So it'll be 6: Taylor Swift, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Sam Smith, Justin Bieber. Could 1D surpass a million by march of 2016?

Spotify released their year in review stuff today. Top 5 US albums were
1) Drake - If You're Reading This It's Too Late 2) The Weeknd - Beauty Behind the Madness 3) Fetty Wap - Fetty Wap 4) Big Sean - Dark Sky Paradise 5) Rae Sremmurd - SremmLife
This is why I don't think people like Taylor Swift and Adele being on streaming would have any great impact on their sales. The demographic for streaming albums is urban.

It's going to be close for Sam Smith. On the HITS chart, he was not in the Top 50.
Same with Meghan Trainor. She's now at 945k. Her label should discount to get 1 million sold in 2015.
Sam Hunt's Monetvallo will scan 1 million before The Grammys.
Chris Stapleton's Traveller should also scan 1 million in 2016.
I wish Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly would scan 1 million.

I love the fact that Madonna's been dropping records since 1983 and she's still among the top 10 best selling solo female artists

Not bad for Katy, but I guess that was super bowl reaction mostly. Bodes well for Coldplay's 2016 numbers since their new album isn't exactly setting the world on fire.

Can Purpose get to #3 in the next two weeks?
I'm guessing that no album-of-the-year has ever had this much of a lead over #2? Especially when the final numbers are in. She'll have about 5 million copies on Taylor.
Meghan had 36k to sell in 2 weeks - I'm not sure what she sold this past week, is that possible?

^Meghan sold 8,000 this week. She needs 36,000 to scan 1 million. Her label could discount it. If they don't, it'll still scan 1 million in January.
Sam Smith will be another million seller for 2015.

I'm guessing that no album-of-the-year has ever had this much of a lead over #2? Especially when the final numbers are in. She'll have about 5 million copies on Taylor. I believe this was the previous biggest gap: 1. Usher — Confessions: 7,979,000 2. Norah Jones — Feels Like Home: 3,843,000

Only one country album in the top ten for 2015. Had Luke Bryan released Kill The Lights a month earlier, it would have been the ONLY million selling country album of the year. Great job, areyoureadytojump!

Sam sold a million for a second year in a row.
It's really surprising how little Fetty Wap's album sold

Sam sold a million for a second year in a row. It's really surprising how little Fetty Wap's album sold OMG I was thinking it was on the top 20. Even Revival sold more.
