Thanks for compiling this list! By any chance, do you know figures for the latest albums of Lifehouse and Rob Thomas?
Selling even 500k is tough to do now
Descendants sales are not that good although it's a hit for Disney Channel but it's not High School Musical obviously but not even Camp Rock
Pitch Perfect 2 big hit in the box office but album sales were disappointing
Just 200K for Kelly Clarkson :(
Like I'm Gonna Lose You is doing decent enough to keep Title afloat, will reach 1M but not sure if this calendar year
Maroon Five's V crossed 1 million that's nice, Sugar did really well for them, their later singles are struggling now though

Interested to see how Frozen sales react to the holiday season. Based on Halloween costumes and toy sales, Frozen fever certainly hasn't broken.

With Adele confirmed for Nov. 20th now, we will have another million seller.
How high can Adele go? Can she beat Taylor's 2014 #1 figure of 3.661 million?

I don't think One Direction has a chace of selling a million during this year, their last album barely sold that, and it needed a lot of time to get there. They will get good first week sales, and if they are able to score a hit with a long chart run maybe will go there. Anyway, this is their last album before the (momentary) break, so maybe this time they will use a more normal strategy and release several singles (because frankly their usual one looks like a desperate attempt to cash as much as they could before people got tired of them).
With Bieber is difficult to make a prediction, right now he seems to be at his best moment (on radio is his best moment by far) but he did well on radio with his last album and he didn't get near his numbers when he was a teen, so it's difficult to know how his popularity in singles will translate in album sales.
The rest, Sam, Meghan, Luke and The Weeknd could go there if they sell well during holidays. Sam is doing surprisingly well for an album that is one year and a half old and has no hit single on the charts for a good while.
Adele sales will be massive, right now we have passed the time of thinking Hello smashing was simply people waiting four years for new material, it's pretty clear the song has a great impact, it's difficult to predict if it will last, but right now that's the impression it gives. And with the album will be more or less the same (and with 19 and 21 selling a lot too).
I doubt Beyonce will try another surprise release. Anyway, surprise or not she is one of the only stars who have massive first week sales no matter what she releases. If she tries to be more poppy this time and have a hit in the charts again, her sales will be very very big, but even without that she will sell a lot. I think this time (and even more in the overcrowded las part of the year) she will go full promo (so probably won't release anything till next year).

I doubt Beyonce will try another surprise release. Anyway, surprise or not she is one of the only stars who have massive first week sales no matter what she releases. I disagree. Apart from her surprised release, she's never been a massive seller. Her debut sold 317k its first week, which was solid but not "massive" (especially for that time). B'Day sold 541k its first week, so that one I will give you. IA...SF sold 482k its first week, which was great but not what I would call "massive." 4 debuted with 310k, which is decent but nowhere near "massive." Bieber and 1D are going to outdo that total years later in a much worse climate for sales. Beyonce then had massive early sales.

By this point shouldn't we have some contenders for big xmas albums starting to bubble? Nobody major is releasing this year that I've heard of, but then pentatonix sort of came out of nowhere with their album last year

^Exactly. Labels have become so lazy. A Christmas album is an easy buck.

Pentatonix have the top 2 Christmas albums on iTunes so far, followed by Michael bublé. I could see either of them becoming this year's big xmas seller since Kylie minogue is a nobody in America

^Buble sells well each year. He sold 342,000 in 2014!
His label has still not certified it with the RIAA. Over 3.7 million sold and they can't spend $350 to certify it?

Was trying to be conservative ;) Possible million sellers that are out now: Sam Smith, Meghan Trainor, Luke Bryan, The WeekndDefinite million sellers to be released: AdelePossible million sellers to be released: Justin Bieber, One Direction, random Christmas albumPossbile million sellers, unconfirmed: BeyonceUnlikely to sell million even if released: Rihanna, Kanye WestSo to reflect... Sam Smith will cross 1 million. Meghan Trainor might. It would take a very big boost for Luke Bryan or The Weeknd to get there. Adele did it in less than 24 hours. Justin Bieber will cross 1 million. One Direction won't. No new big Christmas album. Pentatonix and Buble had big sales this week but they won't clear a million by the end of the year. Unless there is a major surprise release tomorrow ( Beyonce or Drake), I'm thinking that's it. So it'll be 6: Taylor Swift, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Sam Smith, Justin Bieber.

36 - 1,932,000 - 19 - Adele I thought Wiz Khalifa was big but a 2008 album sold more this decade than all of Wiz Khalifa's albums combined.
