Debut single from Fono, who is a producer/DJ from Brighton, called "Real Joy". It received its first play on BBC Radio 1 and this is huge! <3 Available for pre-order. Out on May 10 June 14 in the UK.

This is much too all over the place. I simply cannot get into these dance songs that go from one flow, to the next, to the next... Next song, please!

At least, you gave it a try I personally like all the changes that "Real Joy" has and those remind me in a sort of way to "Rhymes" by Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo. Anyway, I'm intrigued how long will be the length of the standalone release if it's taken into consideration that the UK tend to short the tracks too much. As a side note, I may haven't found out it too soon (or completely lost in the shuffle?) if Calvin didn't tweet about it

The extended mix was uploaded on Fono's Soundcloud account.

ETA: Looks like they decided to 'short' the version above and make it only a clip instead.

And the extended mix of "Real Joy" is up again on Fono's Soundcloud account. I don't know why they made the change again, but it's a coincidence that the Beatport link doesn't work anymore, so I assume it had a month exclusive release (is it a right term?) there.
Today, Annie Mac premiered the Duke Dumont re-edit of the track, which I didn't see that coming, as the special delivery and you can listen to it (around the 53:58 min. mark for the interview with Fono and the 58:05 min. mark for the track) here.

Music Video: (*)The Fader premiered the music video and Fono said the following about it: "The video plays on the idea that we all experience joy in different ways. It's not about violence, it's about passion, love and trust. Just like the track it pushes the boundaries of what we know and what feels comfortable." (*) Includes NSFW parts.

Artwork:Also, it has been added to the C-list on BBC Radio 1 playlist. I guess it was expected because the track has been played by them since late February, but... YES! :'(

Early Tuesday update in the UK and it's currently at #37. Sadly, it's not going to make the Top 40 at this point there

Debuts at #94 in the Official Singles Chart, but it made the #49 spot in the Official Singles Sales Chart. At least, it made the Top 100 in the former, despite I wish it would have done better to be honest.
