Oh I get it it's #1 on the daily update lol...well I guess #1 on the Hot 100 is not unreachable for the song after all :) although it looks like it is possibly about to be passed (both versions combined) by LMLYD on iTunes. I wonder which of the two will do the honors of passing Uptown Funk (which is still a good 20% ahead of them both when both of its versions are combined). On a side note, FourFiveSeconds is #1 on worldwide Spotify... Oh well, I guess I'm not really concerned with the worldwide charts lol

Ohhhh right, I forgot about that one lol...well if it's staying put then Sugar is gonna get a boost for sure - Hot 100 top two would basically be a sure thing next week (and an interesting strategy indeed on M5's part if their goal was to help their chances of reaching #1 on the Hot 100; this will definitely increase its chances!) and it's at 95% of Uptown Funk already as of now! I'll be really sad if it ends up blocking Ellie though :(

YAY @ Uptown Funk and TOL finally falling in radio. And Uptown Funk falling to #4 on iTunes. I wonder if Believe & Lay Me Down will catch on, or plummet in the coming days. Hopefully Ellie can get back to #1.. :(

YAY @ Uptown Funk and TOL finally falling in radio. And Uptown Funk falling to #4 on iTunes. I wonder if Believe & Lay Me Down will catch on, or plummet in the coming days. Hopefully Ellie can get back to #1.. :( Hate to break it to you but the number one on iTunes right now is actually Sugar, with the remix and second version included it is at 1.1213 of the number one song...also for the same reason Uptown Funk is ahead of LMLYD and Lay Me Down Combined iTunes: 1. Sugar (1.1213) 2. Lay Me Down (1.0879) 3. Believe (1.0000) 4. Uptown Funk! (0.9416) 5. Love Me Like You Do (0.8785) This remix was actually a VERY smart strategy on Maroon 5's part; clearly it's helping the song's sales (and presumably its streaming too) and the timing on it is PERFECT since Uptown Funk is now seeing across-the-board decreases (and despite strong airplay, streaming, and still pretty strong sales I predict that 4/4 will be its last week at #1) so since RIGHT NOW is the time that they're getting their boost, it could be what gets them their first #1 on the Hot 100 (and on Digital Songs) since 2012.
At first I would very doubtful of Sugar getting to #1 because I didn't foresee the success of a remix of the song featuring a relevant female rapper but now I strongly believe that Sugar will be the next #1 on the Hot 100 (and I predict 4/11 will be the week it does it)! I'm really hopeful!
And I know this is bad news for you, Dylan sorry!

Was "Keep it Together" the only single in 1990's top 10 without a video?

If M5 goes number 1, will it count with Onika on the track?

If M5 goes number 1, will it count with Onika on the track? Probably. They counted Britney on S&M when it reached #1 Edit: just realized that if it does then it will be Nicki's first official Hot 100 #1 lol :O I just listened to the remix with her in it and I thought it was meh (she can do better than that). But if the song does become her first official #1 then I'll be happy for her anyhow. I'm just glad Anaconda wasn't her first #1 lol

If M5 goes number 1, will it count with Onika on the track? Depends on how much of the track was the remix compared to the original. When it came to Britney and "S&M", the remix counted for 66% of the total digital sum.

Ok then I guess I take back what I said about Nicki getting official credit for the song if it gets #1...I almost feel bad for the crazy fans out who don't know how the chart works and will obnoxiously complain about her not getting credit and claim that Billboard is "unfair" lol

I really hope UF can get 2 more weeks after this one and tie Blurred Lines.
Oh speaking of which, I don't know if this is a suitable thread for this but that whole lawsuit against BL was such bulls**t in my opinion. Some people start lawsuits impulsively just to get money. There are soooooooo many songs that "sound like" other songs yet you don't see lawsuits for each and every one of them (or practically any of them for that matter). At this point in time, any song you write will have similarities to another song in existence. And tbh I thought BL sounded NOTHING like Got To Give It Up. Unfair ruling for poor Pharrell and especially Robin who did not have any other big hits...out $7M+ just like that...

And I know this is bad news for you, Dylan sorry! If that trash (Sugar) blocks LMLYD, y'all will never hear the end of it. My predictions for this week: #1 Uptown Funk #2 Sugar #3/4 Thinking Out Loud/Love Me Like You Do (although TOL is ahead in radio, LMLYD had considerable gains this week, is ahead in sales and most likely streaming) #5 FourFiveSeconds #6 Take Me To Church #7 Style #8 Earned It (I think 6, 7 and 8 will be very close, and there might be some movements) #9 Time Of Our Lives #10 Blank Space Truffle Butter and Trap Queen will fight for #11, I Want You To Know will fall to late 20s, One Last Time will enter top 25/20, Ghost will fall to late 30s, I Really Like You will debut around 60, Bright will enter in the very low regions, or else be in the top 3 on Bubbling Under

It still has to catch up in airplay and streaming and does not have a very big lead in sales yet over TOL
