And what about your repeated hate for " Dark Horse," "Hot Boy," anything by Demi Lovato, and countless others? You're being just a tad hypocritical. The Hot 100 thread used to be a place for interesting discussions and information but now it's just the same few posters arguing with each other about how much they love or hate every song. Kinda inaccurate (bolded). Anyway, I'm pretty sure I was attacked (not to mention falsely accused) last time when I said that I disliked Trap Queen (which I don't anymore, not that that's irrelevant or that I owe anyone here an explanation). Yet for some reason that was considered okay. However, when I just said that about Uptown Funk!, it was considered unacceptable. Sound logic there. I'm not saying people aren't free to like whatever they want to like and hate whatever they want to hate. But I'm pretty sure that should apply to everyone, not just the other guy. And it is true that many people start talking shit about songs after they are #1 for a long time, regardless of what song it is. Anyway, enough about that. Let's return to discussing the Hot 100. And I maintain that I hope Uptown Funk gets its weekend boost and tops Rihanna's song in sales this week. If anyone is unhappy about that, that's their problem, not mine.

All I see is a discussion on how porn can be allowed to make a difference to the Hot 100 and a scrap about haters. Pls.
I think Somebody or Shut Up & Dance both have good chances at #1! Somebody has the strong radio and Shut Up & Dance has the strong sales. Also, seeing as Trap Queen is still growing in sales (#4) and nearing top 30 on radio (plus with its streaming advantage), this may just be the one to dethrone UF..

I would not count on Trap Queen dethroning UF. It just has too much airplay growing to do for a song without Harlem-Shake-like streaming and without Blurred-Lines-like sales. The highest I think it'll peak at is #3. Shut Up And Dance could possibly reach #1, but it's still much farther away than Earned It which is increasing just as fast as SUAD if not faster.

Crazy prediction: Shut Up and Dance dethrones UF after it spends 17 weeks at #1 Also a contender, but I think that song would take even longer to get there than EI. If SUAD is the next #1 UF could be looking at like 20 weeks at #1.

EI is already top 5 on two formats and will probably be top 10 on pop and UAC within a few days. I can't see it being stagnant in streaming either. I'm sure streaming will pick up nicely too with increased airplay and sales. If anything, SUAD will dethrone EI.

Billboard mentioned their relationship in yesterday's article: La Rose is adjacent to her friend, and mentor, Flo Rida, on the Hot 100. After she had introduced herself to him at a party, they soon began working together, and she started touring with him. They created "Somebody," based on Whitney Houston's 1987 Hot 100 No. 1 "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)," as a Rose is a "huge fan of '80s music," as she told Billboard. She's currently recording her debut EP.

1. BBHMM (1.0000) 2. Uptown Funk! (0.9819)
Uptown Funk! might return to #1 in sales with the next update...still hoping for that Digital Songs record!

In another note, one could dream that Adele release a new single and dethrone Uptown Funk.

SIO increasing in airplay. The longetivity is real Serving dark horse teas. Will it get urban AC like Queen Katy...let us wait. Not really a big fan of Earned It, so I would be happy with UF blocking it and breaking the record for the longest running #1 This. Somewhere right now Mariah Carey is in a city rooftop apartment with a case of moscato clutching her pearls. Champagne for the classy diva and she's deciding which artist to record a remix for Rihanna's BBHMM or The Weeknd. Ready to stop it by any means necessary.

Bruno is back to number one (as expected) UF 1.310 BBHMM 1.000 Earned It 0.7892 The weekend is here people How did you get to 1.310 for UF? Looking at Kworb, I got: UF - 1.0332 (0.9238 + 0.1094) - 2 versions combined, #2 and #91 BBHMM - 1.0000 There's another BBHMM version at #320, but it's probably not enough to pass UF. Rihanna is headlining the March Madness Festival tomorrow. The event will be televised/streamed so hopefully it'll be able to push it past UF again.

Like I've said, even w/ the great airplay updates Earned It getting, if it pulls a LMLYD (so far looks like it may be doing) even though LMLYD was/is a MUCH better and stronger single, it's gonna take several weeks (if it even does) to topple UF. For a hot minute it was on UFs tail but looks like it's starting to stabilize on iTunes. Clearly airplay is big enough that it should be way closer (consistently to UF) but something about it thus far just isn't causing it to erupt effortlessly w/ iTunes sales. No doubt if LMLYD was 'first gaining' like EI is now, it would prob. be the song to have a *very good shot at dethroning UF. All about timing and in this case UFs timing has been impeccable. 14th week at #1..done deal. Feeling more and more rock solid about a 15th week and 16th very, very possible. I would be absolutely shocked if RCA doesn't discount the single or do 'something' crafty/sneaky' to make sure it either ties or breaks the record.

You never know about Trap Queen, two months ago we probably would be telling people they're wrong for thinking it could go top 10, let alone top 5 on iTunes, something Hot Boy could never do. I doubt it. Trap queen right now is not showing any signs of a future number one, but a good urban hit (which is great because there were no urban top 10 in a good while). Sales are good but not great, and i doubt pop airplay will support this song that much (and even if it ends being a top 10 hit on pop, something that i doubt, by the time it will be in its way down on urban or even on rhythmic). Unless it goes viral or the sales really increase, Trap queen will be a top 5 hit (which is great) and that's all. The truth is right now there's absolutely nothing that seems a threat to UF. Of course that could change in a minute, but right now it's what it looks

Is it too early to start predicting songs that could be contenders for Song of the Summer?
The only possibilities I see right now are Earned It, Want to Want Me, and Shut Up and Dance. Any thoughts?
On a different note, looking at the radio numbers, that's a pretty solid Top 5 right now (UF, Sugar, Style, TOL, LMLYD)

Where are the next number ones during the 13th week of these hits? "I'll Make Love To You" (14 weeks #1)Next #1: "On Bended Knee" :o Position: #14. Debut week "Uptown Funk!"'s dethroner, where are you? OMG plot twist: the next #1 is Bruno Mars' lead single That guess aside, odds are that the next #1 is either already in the top 10 (and has been there for at least two weeks), or not on the chart at all. There's a small chance that it might be lingering in the top 30 somewhere, but that is unlikely. Also, if not already in the top ten, the new #1 will almost surely be by an already-established hit making artist, not someone new. What performers will be appearing on The Voice this season? Who else might possibly have a new single on the horizon? I have a feeling Adele is waiting until the fall, and someone said in Bruno's album thread that there was a rumor that Bruno actually pushed his next album back to Q4 because UF was smashing a lot harder than expected. If I were him I would ride UF out until week 16 or 17 and then immediately drop the lead single on everyone for the guaranteed song of the summer. Of the contenders currently in the top 10 I think Earned it has the best chance, but even it isn't a sure one. I fear that like its soundtrack sister LMLYD, its sales are not going to increase at the same pace that its airplay is to make it happen. Trap Queen is already #6 with negligible pop airplay, which says a lot about how strong its streaming is already. It actually has the best chance of any song out right now to do it - but ONLY if the label officially starts pushing it at pop right now. I don't get the sense that is going to happen, or that if it does the sales and streaming will have waned by then. And then there is GDFR, which I know I should technically consider, but for some reason it just doesn't 'feel' like it's a top 10 hit right now, never mind a future #1. I think its popularity is maybe a bit isolated, and I just am not in an area where it has taken off yet. I know chances for Somebody are almost nil, but I keep rooting for Natalie La Rose to pull off the upset. Her song is the little engine that could, and I feel a few well timed performances in the right places could make its sales and streaming explode.

Hot damn...I haven't checked all day but see now that Bruno is not just back but FULLY back at #1 bright in the green w/ the same 'lead/total' he's had for I dunno how many weeks 1.1165. :o Most def. wkds are when the song picks up like it ain't playin! I'm def. starting to sense that while Earned It for a hot minute 1/2 was a true threat (which it was a few days ago when it was 'this' close to surpassing UF) is now pulling a LMLYD and seems to be stagnating (even w/ the massive radio updates). If it wasn't for UF (esp. w/ the streaming factor), Sugar would def. be the next #1. Beyond no brainer. I just don't think it's gonna get enough of an 'overall' boost to surpass UF! The song blatantly is slow burner (I actually love it now more than ever lol) vs. Blurred Lines which was starting to turn my stomach by the 10th/11th week at #1 (as much as I loved it to death at first). There's just something about the overall vibe, vocals, melody, beats etc...that aren't as gimmicky as a lot of mega #1 songs like BL and Happy.

I'm feeling desperate. I need one of you to make a viral video set to the tune of one of the current contenders (Sugar, Earned It, etc.) to help in dethroning UF.
