When the previous F&F came out, "We Own It" (which also has Wiz) debuted/peaked at #16 and died down very quickly so I wouldn't count on it lol.

So what's up with this Wiz song shooting up iTunes? It's the main theme from Furious 7. Lol that Wiz Khalifa thing is #1 on iTunes now. What if that winds up being the song to dethrone Uptown Funk on the Hot 100? Actually, the song isn't bad, so I wouldn't be upset. Just as long as it's not there for a long ass time either. ^yep but I dont think it has like any airplay lol. I don't see it anywhere on Mediabase. May very hit #1 and stay there for a while but only on iTunes. Not at threat at all on the Hot 100 anytime soon. It's climbing in airplay pretty quickly, actually. Under the Spincrease sections for each format: Hot AC - 49th fastest growing (+29) Pop - 28th fastest growing (+261) Rhythmic - 12th fastest growing (+286) It goes for adds this week on pop. I believe it went for adds already on rhythmic. It's also already charting on rhythmic. 52 46 WIZ KHALIFA See You Again f/Charlie Puth 574 348 226 2.357 +22 spins -7 bullet +0.103 AI When the previous F&F came out, "We Own It" (which also has Wiz) debuted/peaked at #16 and died down very quickly so I wouldn't count on it lol. This one is already doing way better as noted above.

Dunno how to double quote (or also woulda included the post under you lol). Re: the other posters radio stats for this song, those don't look bad but wouldnt say they're impressive lol. When you say it's growing 'quickly' I wouldn't go 'that' far yet lol. Like I said, I looked a few x and don't see it anywhere on the Mediabase Top 50. It would have to make insane gains on radio, sales, streaming etc...(and there's no 'official' video or talk of one that I'm aware of)If UF was at week #10 or #11 I'd say there's prob. more than enough time, but very doubtful this will have enough time to do all of the above at all (even if it starts to 'smash' like next week). Also, I don't even see it as an official single on his Wikipedia page lol.

^thanks for the like lol but I'm not a chart expert (it's all assumption) Is the only thing really going for this now are sales? Meaning even if sells amazingly throughout the week, doesn't it still need x-amount of radio spins, streams, etc etc..to catch up to UF?

FF7 is estimated to open at in the 140M-150M range as opposed to the 97M of the previous movie, so more people are exposed to the song but yeah unless there's airplay or streaming to back it up,it will be a short lived chart entry

Meaning even if sells amazingly throughout the week, doesn't it still need x-amount of radio spins, streams, etc etc..to catch up to UF? Assuming that it sold like 20-30k more than UF, then See You Again need something like, 40-50 Million more streams than UF (assuming minimal airplay), which is basically impossible. So, yeah, See You Again still need a long time to catch up if it really want to be #1. I love the song. This year seemed to be a very good year for Soundtrack singles :)

??? F&F 7 was just out yesterday in US? It has been out here for 4 days.
I really want to see the record broken. 19 years is more than enough!
But even if this Wiz track get the #1 - which is fairly impossible, next week its sales will drop and UF will reign again, so w/e

Not sure how much it would have to sell but w/ minimal airplay (or maybe even no noteworthy airplay that I'm aware of) don't see how this has a shot anytime soon. Obviously the song is on fire right now cause the movie *just came out today. If it sells sh*tloads over the wkd it def. has shot to debut in the Top 10 Im assuming? it would easily have to sell more than 450k by Sunday night

I think the probability of UF at #1 in the next weeks is:
14th: 100% 15th: 80% 16th: 65% 17th: 50% 18th: 20% 19th: 5% 20th: 1%
The pecentages would increase if RCA Records do something like a discount or releasing a remix.

I think the probability of UF at #1 in the next weeks is: 14th: 100% 15th: 80% 16th: 65% 17th: 50% 18th: 20% 19th: 5% 20th: 1% The pecentages would increase if RCA Records do something like a discount or releasing a remix. My guess at this stage would be more like: 14th: 99% 15th: 95% 16th: 90% 17th: 80% 18th: 60% 19th: 30% 20th: 10% I'm pretty confident it's going to get 16 weeks now. Not sure about 17 weeks, but I think it's likely. Earned It is too far behind, Trap Queen doesn't have broad enough appeal (or the airplay) to get #1 imo, See You Again and BBHMM are too new, they'll probably peak in May or June, not in the next few weeks. Shut Up And Dance is another likely contender imo (I've not heard it yet, but it's chart performance so far is very good), but I think that also won't be peaking until a couple of months time. Somebody I think will have a chart run at best like Love Me Harder, Style or Jealous (obviously that's very good, but it's probably not going to get #1 basically).

I think the airplay is the key.. as long as UF is top 3 on airplay, it'll be #1 on Hot 100. The sales of other songs are not that strong and UF will do well in streaming for another month or so.

I think the probability of UF at #1 in the next weeks is: 14th: 100% 15th: 80% 16th: 65% 17th: 50% 18th: 20% 19th: 5% 20th: 1% My guess at this stage would be more like: 14th: 99% 15th: 95% 16th: 90% 17th: 80% 18th: 60% 19th: 30% 20th: 10% We'll never know if these predictions are correct because it will either do it or it won't. Either way, you're both going to be correct no matter what happens! (Except for this week's 100% prediction).

I definitely need to point out that I'm not suggesting "See You Again" is going to go number one, or even get there next week. It's next to impossible for the latter. "Uptown Funk" is guaranteed a 14th week at number one at this point. But I would say it's growing quickly for a song of its type that has just been released. It's Wiz Khalifa, not Katy Perry. What is this "Mediabse Top 50" you keep speaking of? The overall AI chart? Yeah, of course it's not there yet, it just entered the top 50 on rhythmic. It's about to do so on pop as well, with a healthy bullet on both formats. However, it doesn't take an exceptionally long time for multi-format songs to chart and rise on the overall airplay charts. My point was just that "See You Again" was going to be a long lasting hit unlike the previous movie's Wiz Khalifa song. Edit: LOL, "See You Again" entered the top 50 on pop today. Something "We Own It" never did. "See You Again" also doesn't even go for adds on pop for another three days. Things are looking good for this song to do well.

People may or may not remember but when 'BBHMM' first dropped I believe UF automatically dropped into the 40s! LOL UF is dropping now on iTunes but it's still only around 15% less. I'm sure the decreases will continue throughout the wkd as the movie just came out. SYA may drop a bit during the week due to lack of major airplay. See You Again, while not my cuppa tea and something I wouldnt buy sounds like a future smash and *perfect for radio. Besides it being 'objectively' good song, it's also, well...hate to say it but kind of exploiting Paul Walkers death and most people eat that up. Touching the 'perfect nerve' :/. It's def. a sister of I'll Be Missing You (and ironically OSD which had a similar depressing theme) whether it realizes it not. But those kind of songs have always been a successful/ winning formula. As others noted, as much as it sells, it has minimal airplay. There's next to chance (just using basic logic) that it topples UF anytime until maybe late very late April/early May. Pop airplay is only first impacting this week. If UF was at only at week #10/ #11 I'd say it was def. in trouble of beating the record but think to tie and/or beat it is looking very good.

Would be so cool though if it topped 5 airplay charts! Happy topped 6 right? Prediction (Hot 100): 1. Uptown Funk! (30% lead) 2. Sugar 3. Love Me Like You Do 4. Thinking Out Loud 5. Earned It 6. Trap Queen 7. GDFR 8. Style 9. Somebody 10. Shut Up And Dance

"G.D.F.R." is the first top 10 in a loooong time that I've never heard even once. Is its success mainly coming from certain parts of the country?

I think the probability of UF at #1 in the next weeks is: 14th: 100% 15th: 80% 16th: 65% 17th: 50% 18th: 20% 19th: 5% 20th: 1% The pecentages would increase if RCA Records do something like a discount or releasing a remix. 50% chance of breaking the record! I like that!

I think "GDFR" is big on the East and West coast. I hear it on KIIS FM quite frequently. I'm not sure where you're from, but it's probably being played on the bigger stations in that area. I live in NYC so stations don't get bigger than this ;)
