I've decided to create this thread for those of us (like me) who do not have Sirius XM radio and want to know the schedule for upcoming shows.

I actually haven't caught this week's show yet. I literally just got a new car today and I still have to have my Sirius/XM unit re-installed inside the new wheels.
It sucks too, because 2005 is my all-time favorite year and I've got to catch it before they shift to the next chart.

I finally got my Sirius/XM unit installed in my new car. Just in time to miss the 2005 Throwback 30...

Trace said on this week's show that he has zero memory of "Don't Make Me" by Blake Shelton when he got to that song in the countdown for April 14th, 2007.
I believe him. lol.

I finally got to listen to most of this week's Throwback 30 today (2004). First time in years I've heard "Last One Standing", "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing", "You're In My Head" or "Simple Life" on the radio.
My nephew was in the car too and he actually enjoyed "You're In My Head" and "Passenger Seat" by SHeDaisy. :)

This past week was 2008 and I just listened to about 3/4's of it (repeat airing). I forgot how bad Toby Keith's "She's A Hottie" was. "Struttin' like a chicken to the radio Hey slick. She's a hick Mmm, and her buttermilk lipstick Now give a little something to a cool dog cat Findin' him a woman that could shake like that"
Good grief.

Trace Adkins started off this week's countdown (2003) by counting down his own song "Then They Do" at #30. He mentioned how Mike Dungan wanted it to be a single and Trace wasn't sure but that's not what caught my attention. What caught my attention was when Trace said it went #1 for two weeks? Pardon??? What chart did this go #1 on because it only got to #8 on R&R and #9 on Billboard.

I just encouraged you. jhomes87 was the one who brought it up in the first place. I know we're not alone in laughter, as I'm sure others in the country forum had some comic relief today looking at your avi. :) The fact you honored the request shows that you don't take yourself too seriously and for that I'm grateful. :)

The Throwback 30 this week was the first week of July in 2004. It was awesome hearing the first half of the countdown this afternoon.
"Men Don't Change" "Break Down Here" "Rough & Ready" "Suds In The Bucket" "I Wanna Make You Cry" "If Nobody Believed In You" "Me And Emily" "Tougher Than Nails" "In A Real Love"
Oh the nostalgia. :)

I was listening to Throwback 30 this afternoon (July of 2008 look back) and Trace Adkins said "Troubadour" was his favorite George Strait song.

I enjoy Troubadour a lot more now than I did when it was current. It's still kind of weird that out of his discography that's his favorite though.

So I was listening to Throwback 30 this afternoon and I heard "You're Still Here" by Faith Hill. I literally have zero recollection of the song ever being on the radio growing up, but after hearing it I'm surprised it made it to the top 30. It might be one of the most boring songs I've heard over the past 15 years on country radio. The production and was good and Faith had some good vocal moments but it honestly was not what I would want to hear in the dead of summer on the radio now or when it was out in 2003.
I loved "Cry" and "When The Lights Go Down" though, which were the country radio singles before "You're Still Here."

I listened to the first part of Throwback 30 this afternoon and it was the second week of August in 2005. Probably the best start to a countdown I've heard since they started doing this -- every song was a delight to hear.
Lol @ Trace Adkins though. He first referred to Ryan Shupe as Brian Shupe and after "Hillbillies" was finished playing (extended version too), Trace said "Hot Apple Pie; a band that lasted about 10 minutes...but that was long enough I guess to have that song chart in the top 30."

This week they're counting down the top 30 singles from September 25th, 2010. The first time that 2010 has been used.
I heard Steve Azar's "Sunshine" on the radio for the first time in almost five years.

I heard Steve Azar's "Sunshine" on the radio for the first time in almost five years. 2010 was a great year in Country IMO. And "Sunshine" was a very underrated song. I remember how crowded September album releases were that year, and how broke I was because of it LOL Jamey Johnson "The Guitar Song" (what an epic masterpiece) Kenny Chesney "Hemingway's Whiskey" Joey & Rory "Album No . 2" Randy Houser "They Call Me Cadillac" Zac Brown Band "You Get What You Give" Billy Currington "Enjoy Yourself"

They're doing December 20th, 2003 this week. I heard "Wrinkles" by Diamond Rio on the radio for the first time in 11-12 years today. I also heard "Every Friday Afternoon", "Spend My Time", "I Can't Take You Anywhere" and "I Wish"...holy crap, the nostalgia.

The last week of 2006 is what they're doing this week and I heard "The Reason Why" and "Lips Of An Angel" on the radio for the first time in ages.

I listened to the first part of the countdown (30-21) and I didn't remember any of the songs. And I have an excellent memory. What in the world was I doing at that time? We ended up giving up on it and flipping over to Prime Country, where they did this week in 1998. I was all over that one!

They just played the wrong version of "She'll Leave You With A Smile" by George Strait at #2 on the Throwback 30.

I always hated that they never released that song. Bob Kingsley made the same mistake on CT40 a couple years ago, but acknowledged the mistake on a later episode.

They're doing January 11th of 2003 this week.
I have zero recollection of "Strong Enough To Be Your Man" by Travis Tritt ever being on the radio.
