Not bad. I could see this one growing on me quite a bit. This songs fit perfectly in Lee's wheelhouse.

This is outstanding. Love the chorus on this, Lee sounds very strong here. Should be another smash.

Oh wow, I must admit I wasn't expecting to like this one as much as I did when I clicked play. Great subject (one that I think many can relate to), and pretty solid lyrics. The production in the chorus isn't that great to me but Lee sounds pretty good singing this one. I wasn't a big fan of "Drinking Class" - I didn't hate it but it was a song that I just didn't get in to for whatever reason (it got old pretty fast as well), but this song is a major step up. I think Lee can do good upbeat songs but songs like "Happy Endings", "Love Like Crazy', "Hard To Love" and "That Don't Sound Like You" are his bread and butter.

This one was produced by Lee and Jon Stone (of American Young).

I'm gonna toot my horn and say, I CALLED THIS! Usually I'm way off, but I feel like this is going to be a MAJOR hit. Absolutely love it.

By far my favorite single of his career. This is gonna end up being one of my favorite songs of the year. There's a few gems on I Don't Dance and this is one of them.

I like Lee and this song, but man did he sound brutal tonight on The Voice.

I like this one a lot, which is weird because I technically have a lot of complaints I can make about it. (The production is a little weird, the lyrics are a little weak in places...) The overall package however comes together in a good way and I can ignore my admittedly small complaints. (I did feel this way about "A Woman Like You" as well).

Not questioning your opinion, just wondering which lyrics you considered weak?

Did this get an obnoxiously low number of adds? I love Lee Brice and I think this one is a lot better than "Drinking Class". It may burn quick, though.
I kind of wish he would re-visit his style from his last album.

I kind of wish he would re-visit his style from his last album. 29 is about what I expected. "Drinking Class" got 37 on impact day (granted, it also had more in the way of early adds). This climb is going to be another long haul for Curb. Even though I really like this song, it could have some struggles in the summer months since it's a slower one and the competition is brutal. I still think this can be a slow rising hit but only time will tell.

I kind of wish he would re-visit his style from his last album. This is what I want. This song is another dud from Lee this era (3 for 3), while his last era was great other than "Parking Lot Party", but there were several other fantastic songs on Hard 2 Love. I haven't hated any of the singles from this era, but I haven't liked any of them either. I'm hoping Lee's next album will be much more like his last album than this current one.

I like the lyrics to this one, but that's the only praise I can give here. The production sounds really weird to me, and something just sounds really off about this song. The lines in the verses and Lee's phrasing don't really match up with the cadence of the song, or at least to my ears they don't match up. I'm thinking it was probably done like that on purpose, but it sounds really jarring to me.

I'm really disappointed to see this song struggling so much. It's by far my favorite single so far this album era, and a solid B-lister like Lee should be able to get a third single off the ground, especially after two big hits in "I Don't Dance" and "Drinking Class". I know we're in for a long climb here, but the song's early poor performance has surprised me.

I'm also a bit perplexed as to why this is struggling so bad.. It's not particularly risky or anything, and Lee's a very established radio artist. I didn't expect this to blaze up the charts or anything, but I figured this would at least be close to the top 40 by now.

It's fine, but it continues my problem with music videos not really sticking to lyrics...I love the song because of the images it invokes and the video doesn't really capture those at all...just show me a couple having a great time and then the girl with different hair and such in a new relationship that isn't working well...all I'm asking for here! Okay...rant over.

This is a great song, but I'm now thinking he made a mistake not releasing "Show You Off Tonight" or even "sirens". Radio would eat up the former.

I honestly don't think it would have made any difference with the single choice. I think we are just seeing two things: 1) Curb's dwindlng cache with Country Radio, which is leading to super long chart runs for even a solid B-Lister like Lee Brice and 2) Just an absolute massive clogging of the charts. I'm curious to see if the next few weeks will help some of these struggling songs out, including this one, "We Went", "Southern Style", and "I Got The Boy". Tim, Carrie, Easton, Kelsea, and Brad should all be recurrent within the next weeks, and that should clear some space for more airplay.

This song has to be one of my favorites from the album and it's gotten off to a slow start. Hopefully it starts picking up soon.

Looks like Lee will be releasing some sort of mixtape to iTunes soon.

"That Don't Sound Like You" sits at #52 on Billboard and #53 on MB this week. What's a little odd is Lee's total MB points currently sits at roughly 1,220 -- about 550 points behind Dierks at #52, and nearly 800 points behind Billy at #50. An 800 point difference between song #50 and song #53 is quite the difference and shows how the chart is definitely weaker than it was a few short months ago. It's not super easy right now for singles but it's nice to not discuss how ridiculously clogged the charts are.

"That Don't Sound Like You" gained 260 spins this week and cracks the MB top 50, at #50. Quite a few stations added this one into regular rotation this week as judging by its leaders ( here) and it's starting to look like this song has some life in it after the slow start. This week will mark just its 8th week on Billboard Airplay so there's still plenty of time for this to become a top 20 single for Lee and Curb Records. Also, with Lee releasing that mixtape and this song surely being a long climber, I'm sure this will be the last single from I Don't Dance.

This is a jump back to the comment on production (sorry) but jhomes87 to my mind, it seems to work completely with the lyrics. The verses sound hollow because he's reminiscing on how hollow her personality is now that she's a shell of herself, and when he reminisces on how great she used to be, the production is as bombastic (as she was). I see what you're saying about the phrasing/cadence bit, but I guess I write it off as the same lyrical construct (i.e. it's disjointed, as is she unmatched with who she truly is?)

Just as I thought, the Cumulus block added "That Don't Sound Like You" this week, which has resulted in Lee jumping 10 spots to #42 on Billboard Airplay, increasing over 1.4 million in audience. Lee increased over 1.4 million on MB over the past eight days as well.

"That Don't Sound Like You" is finally showing signs of life after the Cumulus black added the song as Lee has gained 116 spins and 330k in audience this week and is #42 on the MB rolling chart. If Lee can find a way to get past A Thousand Horses, he could get to the MB top 40 with one recurrent this week (Michael Ray) and The Band Perry seeing an 8th day drop, this Saturday.
This song has only been charting 10 weeks on Billboard Airplay, so I don't see this one dying anytime soon and I expect Curb to gradually get this one up the charts; perhaps not a top 10 finish, but I could certainly see this one getting to at least the top 20.
