Everything's been delayed cuz she's an unbothered lazy ass and is now going to China for some Vogue anniversary thing, she'll start shooting the videos when she's back. A stacked, action-packed, celebratory week of “Good Morning America” will include a performance by Iggy Azalea.

Per ABC’s official listings, Azalea will perform on the November 20 edition of its popular morning show. The episode will also feature appearances by “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2” stars Natalie Dormer and Sam Claflin, a preview of Jim Henson’s “Turkey Hollow,” and “Shark Tank Friday” with Barbara Corcoran.

Digital distortion is amazing and unique.
the thing about it now is that eras are defined better when they tell a story.
Her experiences (growing pains/backlash/lessons learned as well as great accomplishments) can be addressed in DD because the theme is very broad yet specific at the same time.

I wonder if she'll drop zillion the same day.
She said it won't be for sale but I kind of want GMA/zillion video to spark some interest for the holidays.

Then maybe the official first single/video in December in order to cash in on the xmas boost and lead in January on a high note.

THen I'm sure the max martin song will be a nice lil crossover single to push out right before the album (let's say in March 2016).

Hopefully she has this planned out.

Turns out she's not performing after all apparently.

GMAs social media person: "TV guides don't update in real time. As of now she isn't scheduled to perform tomorrow. probably was originally slated to perform. Scheduling changes a lot in tv."

It was prob their plan to do GMA and AMAs this weekend before China messed everything up after she couldn't shoot the video for the buzz track like she explained. Hopefully Zillion is still dropping in the next few weeks so she can start off the new year with the lead single and promoting!

The fact that Iggy hasn't even been doing anything lately or actively trying to be on anyone's minds and this is still the top story coming out of that award show, was it that uneventful you'd think per example Erykah saying R. Kelly "has done more for black people than anyone" and everyone cheering along like he was an unproblematic king would be, well, more problematic and talked about.. oh nvm I almost forgot talent excuses everything, you're just not allowed to disrespect hip-hop or whatever or you'll get backlash for life. to think last year they got her as the most nominated rapper in the hip hop song category as well kii

(it's kinda crazy if you've been following her for a while now to think how she was such a UK based artist in 2013 and then the huge leap she had in becoming more US-centered last year. I suppose Mercury aka Virgin EMI is still calling the shots ? which doesn't rly make sense considering she's barely even bothered to fly there after Fancy happened, welp.)

If I've been following her logic correctly, which is quite hard sometimes   I think for her part musically she's been ready, she mentioned they finished mixing the buzz track but still had to start shooting visuals over a month ago before she went to China + she'd already be mixing the lead single too after she came back from that trip, so I'm assuming that's what she's been doing throughout the past month she's been MIA from twitter and now this is probably her label holding her back because of the holidays or something. (she's always said the features for the album weren't picked yet iirc)

I think the original plan was for her to drop the buzz track quickly followed by the lead in mid-November, since we found out they had a performance scheduled for Good Morning America on November 20 (ABC forgot to remove it from the schedule + that was two days before the AMAs and she even mentioned that a big performance that was going to be announced by whoever was organizing it that ended up never happening - which was most likely the AMAs), but then her team probably realized that was Adele's day/week/month/year as well so I'd say they just decided to hold everything back until the new year (and now she's mentioning the UK label planning also needing some adjustment, probably promo spots or whatever caused by the delay).

She also basically confirmed what I believed to be her logic from my previous post regarding them having a date set for the era to start back in November and her not being on time (cuz of China/visuals not ready I guess) so they ended up delaying it and now it's the holidays so they won't risk putting new music out & decided to wait til the new year kicks in.

Eh. This is similar to the Snoop incident in that Erykah clowns everyone all the time on twitter so for her it's probably not that serious. She told many jokes in her monologue (some at her own expense) it was just the Iggy one that caught fire.

That said, the reaction to this shows that Iggy's "backlash against the backlash" might be well under way, which is great news for her. So as long as she avoids pissing people off she could be in a great position to drop a hot single in the spring... she may have a critical mass of good will starting to come her way.
