Maybe Ellen is just calling RAWM a new song? Could mean it is getting another push

When I saw she was performing on Ellen I thought it may be to promote that new "Full House" theme she di. I guess I wouldn't min another push for this if it meant getting another single. Iv'e been really into "Making The Most Of The Night" lately.

"New Song" probably just signals "Not Call Me Maybe" to the GP.

Great performance! I wish she did more of the songs ad-libs in the last chorus, but regardless, I loved it! {Filtered ad-libs}

Whats the hype with this? This is an average song. It is catchy a bit. But this song wont do anything on pop. It seems very similar to Adam Lamberts Another Lonely Night.

I didnt say I hated it. Its pretty average and am just saying that this wont do anything on pop. There is something missing in this song for it to do good. If it ends up reaching top 30 on pop then I would be surprised. Just saying what I predict and expect. Another Lonely Night didnt do well at all so thats why I am doubting this could do well as well.

Can you guys give reasons of how it is good in your opinion and why you all think it could do well on Pop? I just do not see it happening at all. I feel like people could end up getting sick of this song way too easily if it gets played on radio often. Again its like a 6/10 for me but I feel like if I start hearing it often and too much I could get sick of it easily.

Another Lonely Night was following up the lead single from the album which just made the top 20. His previous song before that was Trespassing in 2012 which I don't even think made the top 50. ALN had no push other than its adds date and I don't even think it made the top 1500 on iTunes, and if it did, not for long. Of course it flopped. Carly is much more popular than Adam. This song is addictive. The sax is an incredible hook, and better yet, the lyrics are amazing. Her vocals in it are perfect, and the 'chanting' of "run away with me" in the chorus adds to the overall power of the song. How is it "pretty average"? And how do you know it will do nothing on pop? Teenager Daya currently has a top ten song yet no one knows her and it has incredibly simple lyrics and weak production (although I love it anyway)

Difference between Hide Away and Run Away With Me is that Hide Away is very catchy and is a song that grows on you late. That is why it had a slow run to the top. I like Hide Away a lot myself too. I do not see how Run Away With Me could do anything better than that. Hide Away is extremely catchy and has a very great beat and flow. Run Away With Me is a little catchy but not too Hide Aways levels and its beat and flow are pretty average. Again for songs to do well, they also need to have great beats and flows too. Its not just always about the lyrics.

ALN was almost top 1300 (for a short time). It's a pity that they didn't promote because it's a good song and Adam deserved better, but he really needs heavy promo to do some damage in the USA. And Carly deserves a chance, i heard amazing things about her album, and the first single was catchy. Maybe this second run will be better than the first one (that won't be difficult)

If you think about it, is there really that much of a difference between #1501 and #1300? That must only be a few hundred sales, probably less. And I agree with the last part (although I much prefer Rumors)

We are not worthy of the perfection of this song. I would die for this to be a hit, but the world is an unrelenting, nonsensical wasteland.

Look, @walker9, it's okay if you don't like the song, but we have different opinions than you do. We do find the song catchy. It is miles better than the average pop song for us. That's why we think it's good and that's why we think it deserves to be a big hit. No one in here is actually claiming that it will, with no doubt, be a mega smash (they'd be stupid to even claim that given this is the THIRD time the song has resurfaced). But we do think it deserves success, and we are completely allowed to be happy when it shows a small inkling of possibly being somewhat successful.

I feel like people could end up getting sick of this song way too easily if it gets played on radio often. Again its like a 6/10 for me but I feel like if I start hearing it often and too much I could get sick of it easily. This was my #1 song of 2015, so here's just some of the reasons why I like it so much: -The sax, specifically in the intro, is mesmerizing -The drums in the verses provide a nice, steady beat -The lyrics are simple but mature and incredibly relatable to anyone that's felt the feeling of falling in love before -Carly's vocals perfectly capture the emotions of the song: she's in love and anxious to scream it out loud, so then she does -The pace of the verses builds nicely into the hook, working well with the process of emotions as mentioned above -The chorus sounds like an absolute anthem, and is very easy to sing along to -There are little hooks throughout both the verses and chorus that get stuck in your head (the repetition utilized is very effective) It's just an incredibly well crafted pop song in which all components (lyrics, vocals, melody, production) are strong and work together very effectively. But like Au$tin said, these are just opinions. I find everything mentioned helps to make a great song that I personally have never gotten sick of. Meanwhile, I can't remember the last time I've felt so indifferent towards a Top 10 pop hit as I have "Hide Away". To me personally, the lyrics are uninteresting and the melody is overly basic. I feel nothing listening to the song, except a little bored at times. But a lot of people obviously like it, so that's great for them. This may not be a hit, and honestly, it probably won't be. If it really gets the chance, I think it's something that's gonna be an easy sing-along, especially amongst a group of teenage girls, but I'm sure there will be many who don't get the song or get sick of it after a while, so you never know. It's all subjective.

I've easily played this to the point where the average person would hit the delete button but every time that sax intro comes on hit the volume to MAX. Everything about this song is infectious.

Hopefully the Ellen performance will make this song get pushed to the US. On other Carly Rae Jepsen news, her Fuller House theme is on No.95 on iTunes.

The sax intro to me always sounded like bagpipes, so I always thought a video with her walking around green fields next to the ocean, maybe with the White Cliffs in the background would be fitting

RUN AWAY WITH ME! I've watched that seal twirl around in circles more times than I should probably admit but for some reason I'm just now seeing this one and I am equally mesmerized. Someone should make vines of different parts of the song and string them together as one silly, nonsensical, yet hypnotizing video.
