"Renegades" Written by Alex Da Kid, Sam Harris, Noah Feldshuh, Casey Harris and Adam Levin Produced by Alex Da Kid and X Ambassadors "Renegades" is the first single from X Ambassadors' debut album VHS, which will be delivered to pop radios soon according to PlayIGA.
{Original Post}There's still not an impact date (*) for "Renegades", X Ambassadors' lead single from their upcoming debut album VHS, but it's currently listed on the Top 40 playlist from PlayIGA, so looks like it will be pushed to this format soon.
(*) It should be noted that it got an add from WDJQ-FM this week.

no real surprise, the songs use in those jeep commercials should probably help a bit
like the song too, even if it kind of burned out fast lmao

The catchiness of this song alone should give it a decent pop crossover once Shut Up and Dance starts to fall. I could see this becoming massive on Pop if it gets a few breaks.

Im calling it, this song will come close to beating Radioactives record on Billboard Hot 100, Bold Prediction, its just too damn good and catchy for it to drop out fast

Yeah "Radioactive" took awhile before it was sent to Pop for crossover play. I can see this having a lengthy stay, but definitely not a "Radioactive"-esque run.

Im still calling it to reach top 5 and it could def stay a year, I do not think it would beat Radioactive, but it could come close to it

I think this will be a staple on most Pop radio playlists by August and probably a bit TOO inescapable on the format for the entire Autumn.

Digging with this song. However I don't expect it to becomes massive immediately. Maybe "Sweater Weather" some kind of success if lucky enough.

In its 14th week on the Hot 100, it rises 59-58.

I agree it's a good song, but #58 at 14 weeks is a far cry from making a year plus and a peak of #3 like Radioactive did. I could see this make the high 20s and then fall out at like 30 weeks.

Reason why this will last a year or almost a year, any Alternative songs that spent like 10 weeks under top 50 all ended up making top 10 and lasting a year
Examples - Radioactive, Demons, Ho Hey, Pompeii, Some Nights, Sail(allthough this one didnt reach top 10)
and a few other songs like Take Me To Church if it didnt suddenly climb, couldve spent a year too, and Shut Up and Dance will likely spend a year too
That is why Renegades will definitely hit top 10 and last a year

I think if Pop fully embraces this, it'll definitely stay a year, or at least close to it. I'm not sure if it will have huge success on Pop though.

Im hoping it doesnt have an explosion and it slowly gains by like 3 each week, sorta like how Radioactive did, so it could have a Radioactive like run, if it explodes fast all of a sudden like how Take Me To Church did, it wont last more than a year, thats why Im hoping this song improves slowly

This is looking to go top 50 in a week or two. It's about 220 spins away from #50 and its current bullet is around +130 and growing.

Damn, it blew up quicker than I thought :(, really wanted and thought it could make a Radioactive like run, but it could still definitely last a year on charts

Well today's surge is probably due to a performance on the TODAY Show.

Couldnt they have waited 10 more weeks to do a performance, so that way it could have definitely had a chance to surpass Radioactive? Dangit, they ruined theirselves from making a new record :(

yes, wait two and a half months to promote an already slow to stick song just to break a longevity record that only chart nerds care about
yeah that makes sense
