Give Maren 'Female', Miranda 'Album', and Carrie 'Entertainer'! Also, if the whole concert DVD is actually a thing, now would be the time to get the ball rolling on that to get some buzz going! That would be the best outcome, although I don't quite agree with Miranda keep getting awarded Album of the Year for every single one of her albums, as if by default. The Album field is weak this year though, so yeah, there is a high chance Miranda is taking it home. Carrie's biggest threat for EOTY is definitely Keith. I'm also not a big fan of Miranda winning Album for literally every album (Platinum had no business winning that award), but The Weight of These Wings is my favorite project from her to date. I'd love to see Maren win it, but I like TWOTW more than Hero, but I'd be fine with either winning

Yet another reason for releasing "Choctaw" is for extra buzz / critical acclaim going into voting for ACMs. She's got those nominations, but it seems like she'll be quiet during the final voting period and it seems that the bulk of voters tend to award recent buzz over year-long achievements.

^ she was wowing crowds last year during the final voting with the ST tour and bupkis.I don't think releasing CCA for buzz would do anything. They should release it because its a great song and she's gonna be gone for who knows how long before we get new music.

Where can I contribute to a campaign to at least get Carrie to perform "CCA" on the ACMs?

I love CCA, but I honestly wouldn't mind another album track since we've already seen CCA live on TV. A stripped back WINKIAW or maybe "Mexico"? I'm sure if she performs solo, it'll be CCA, but I wouldn't mind something else... Maybe Carrie will come at us with a gospel song? Who knows!? I have a hunch we're in for some kind of themed album next, maybe she'll hint towards whatever that theme is with her ACM performance?

^ Nah, doesn't sound like Carrie to drop hints like that. Plus, I am pretty sure she has barely started figuring out the next album by ACM time.

I was just thinking back to the ACM Girl's Night Out special where she surprised everyone with HGTA... She could do anything considering she has no solo work to promote. However, if there is a tour DVD, CCA would be the perfect way to promote it!

Yeah, I'm a little perplexed by the lack of word on the tour DVD. We all know one was made. The BA Tour DVD came out 3 months after the end of the tour. Not that things have to stick in patterns, but I expected the DVD to be out...now.
Also I still think it's going to end up being a movie exclusive for Apple Music or Netflix or something, because DVD sales are abysmal now. And honestly, I think that's the best way to go, too.

Lets hope she's not doing a mash up of all 4 singles from ST.
We need CCA or Relapse

We as fans have seen it, but she hasn't performed "CCA" on a show with huge public (or even industry) exposure. I can't see any other album track getting the kind of response "CCA" would get, especially if she kills the harmonica. That's a 'moment' kind of song and performance.

As lukewarm as I was about CCA being a single, I would 100% be down for a kick-ass performance of it at the ACMs. I think CCA as a single could burn quickly with listeners, and could be very polarizing. However, Carrie brings new life to CCA when she performs it live, and I think even if people wouldn't want to hear the song on the radio all the time, most would really enjoy the high-energy performance and different sound coming from Carrie, as well as being impressed with her harmonica skills. It would be the exact type of performance that after she sang and (hopefully) wins Entertainer of the Year, people will go "holy s**t why didn't I go to that show" and Carrie can then go "well, conveniently for you here is a tour DVD you can buy/steam".
I'd also be happy with a capella "I Will Always Love You" - while that wouldn't have the same affect as CCA, she'd get a standing ovation and rave reviews for her performance. I'd rather have CCA though since it would help with sales/streaming. But I'm not here for a performance of any of the 4 singles from this era, or especially a mash up of all 4.

I think being an EOTY nominee is reason enough to be given a solo slot in addition to her likely collaboration with Keith. We may be in for a medley similar to the "Blown Away" medley she did at the 2013 CMAs... That one worked really well, but I'm not sure how well one would work with the ST singles...

Considering she just did the duet with Keith on a high profile show, doing it again seems redundant. And, yes, both earned solo spots anyway, so if they do perform "The Fighter," it should be in addition to solo slots.

So first, I'm even more convinced we're in for a gospel album next... Randomly singing "Jesus Loves Me" in the car on a Wednesday?... I think NOT. Well, maybe, but don't burst my bubble. Second, Isaiah is clearly a prodigy in the wings. http://instagram.com/p/BQ0w5qfFOZB

Considering the several years Miranda got the token female EOTY nom slot and performed a solo, in a duet, and a tribute, I'd hope Carrie can wager more than a feature spot at the ACMs.

So I listened to Storyteller for the first time in a while yesterday. And man, I was floored at how great the stretch of "Choctaw" through "Relapse" is. All four songs punch you in the gut, albeit in different ways, but so successfully. Easily one of the best stretches of songs on any of Carrie's albums (and that's saying something, since all her albums are great).

Happy 5th Anniversary to "Good Girl", released 5 years ago tonight (Thursday, Feb 23, 2012) to iTunes and Country Radio the following morning.

I feel like Carrie isn't the type of person to talk about politics with a random radio host though, whether she's a democrat or a republican. She's just too private of a person to share things like that with random people

Not that I'd be surprised if it was her, but I also don't know if she'd be vocal enough to be known to those inside the industry as a staunch Dem (or Repub).

Have ya'll noticed Carrie's cover photo on Facebook just changed? It's a photo of her doing a show... hmm? Probably just put in there as a transitional photo between eras. I remember this happening after the BA era ended, too. Also, did the tour DVD/movie get shelved?
