Loving this new album era. Have enjoyed all the songs we've heard so far. The one she released tonight was quite simple but absolutely beautiful.

"Church Bells" sounds iconic. I love how creative and metaphorical she's gotten with the lyrics of her songs. The idea of the bells representing three different things is so sharp, and I know on "Chaser" she references the title in both an alcoholic relation and in relation to one man chasing after a woman, using the "chaser"/"chase her" play-on-words.

WINKIAW sounds so smooth and different from anything Carrie's recorded before. It almost feels like it's not her but it is. Beautiful song, just so touching. Friday will be an epic day. Four songs out, 9 to go. If this pattern holds up, this has to be her best album.

I'm these days far more interested in her album covers, photo shoots and vocals more than the actual songs however Carrie epitomizes the simple/natural beauty thing is far more pleasing to the eyes. The girl is a stunner. As someone known to shade every non talented pop girl the fact i can't shade her is a worthy mention to her talent. Music itself is subjective, talent to me isn't .

Y'all still up? I found clips! She's definitely experimenting on this album; the four previewed tracks seem like some of the safest. I'm already getting my life to "Choctaw County Affair." "The Girl You Think I Am" is really the only clip that didn't intrigue me in one way or another. In general, I'm really impressed with these melodies and production choices. Also, she's fully unleashed her twang and that's for the best. ETA: I can't stop replaying the "Chaser" clip. I wasn't expecting that.

I know it's only based on 30 seconds, but I already wish that "Like I'll Never Love You Again" was getting the romantic ballad single slot instead of "Heartbeat."

THOSE VOCALS ON 'CHOCTAW'! "Relapse" reminds me a lot of Kelly Clarkson's "Addicted", which is good. Agreed with you on "Chaser". What kind of retro 80s pop-rock sound? I'm in love. "Dirty Laundry" and "Church Bells" sound so different. This entire album sounds so different. This is going to be good. Like, really good.

What kind of slayage is "Clock Don't Stop" though? I kept forgetting that one was even on the album and now it's stuck in my head.

She's doing so many things with her voice on this record! I'm obsessed with every clip. I'm already picturing visuals for what things would look like for some of these clips. Also, thank everything that "Mexico" actually sounds super intriguing and isn't another "One Way Ticket"...kind of like they're running to the border to avoid prison, is what I take of it?
I can't get over her vocals. She's serving so much of everything on here. I am alive. How the hell does one go from "Thank God for Hometowns" to something like 'Choctaw' in one album cycle? Gary Overtoad really must've taken the trash out with him.

UNREAL Vocals. UNREAL Lyrics. UNREAL Production.
If this album era doesn't win her some 'Vocalist' trophies, I don't know what the fuck will...
God DAYUM. This is a true masterpiece. It's "Blown Away" on steroids. So much experimentation and it's SO worth it. I cannot wait to hear the entire thing!!!

There's almost a jazzy sound to "Chaser"... LOVE IT!
I feel like this album takes the best elements from all of her albums, and combines them into one. I can definitely hear remnants of "Some Hearts" and "Blown Away", especially.
The artistry is so palpable... Very creative album, and well done! Can't get over these clips! AHHHH!

I love when this Canadian guy interviews Carrie. Lengthy too. "How many CMAs have you won?" ... "I don't know.... five?" LMAO Carrie, there aren't that many to count, girl! Excellent interview, overall.

OMG you guys.... I actually had CHILLS listening to the clips! What kind of EPICNESS are Dirty Laundry, Choctaw and Chaser?! :O :O :O
FREAKIN' LOVE what I am hearing from the 30 seconds clip! And I completely agree with 14887fan that this sounds like her most sonically cohesive album.
I kept coming back to Dirty Laundry, Choctaw, Chaser, Church Bells and Clock Don't Stop.
Friday needs to arrive sooner!!!!
