I love when this Canadian guy interviews Carrie. Lengthy too. Yeah, his interviews are always fantastic. It's so obvious that he does his homework before the interview and he seems like a fan too. I still remember her "adult programming" moment from the first interview lol.

I'd think "Before He Cheats" would be mentioned in that special, but I'd rather get a live performance of Carrie doing a cover song. You never know how accurate reporting is with these things.

I'd say more than "mentioned", if it's a countdown BHC could very well be #1. Depending if they're staying within the past 10-15 years, or all time... But judging by the artists they have participating, it seems they'll be keeping it contemporary.

But, yeah, Before He Cheats should be fairly high.

Have been repeating the clips for millio times. All of them sound soooo good. I have a feeling that Smoke Break, which i like, is the weakest song in the entire album. The love songs in this album are so good. Finally, love songs from Carrie <3 Renegade Runaway, Dirty Laundry, CCA, Chaser, WINKIAW should be singles.

Finally heard the 30 sec clips. Carrie has recorded an album that is really unique, in production, vocally, themes, and style. I've never heard a country album like this one. Maybe someone else has, but not this guy. Put it this way, I love Smoke Break, I think it actually feels out of place from all the other songs. Carrie has hit a grand slam here.

Has anyone who heard the album mentioned Chaser being one of the standouts? I wonder if the full song is as good, because from the clip, I think it sounds single-worthy.

That song, much as I ADORE the clip, sounds straight up pop. Her voice has twang in it, for sure, but that's a pop song (and I'm sure a DAMN great one).

Well, that would make it a good single choice for country radio.

"Chaser" is absolutely fantastic, but yes, it is extremely pop - probably the song on the album the most far-removed from country. Even Carrie's twang, which is very pronounced throughout the album, is less so on that song. I'd love to see it get a pop release, but I know that won't happen. Hopefully it'll at least be an international single.

Anyone have an idea of which song(s) have the R&B sound to them that she mentioned the album having? Haven't listened to the clips yet and debating on whether or not I should. Don't wanna spoil the album.

BHC was straight out country but happened to cross over. Jmo

chart methodology was different when those mentioned songs were charting than it is now with streaming and that was also the hey day of the physical single and the physical singles of those three songs each went at least gold if not platinum or multi platinum In Fact the Leann Rimes Version of How Do I Live was the first Country single to be certified 3 x platinum on March 9th 1998 You're Still The One is 2 x platinum and Breathe was certified gold as a Physical single August 24th 2000 and as Digital in 2009

Heartbeat is the #5 digital country single with 23,000 sold. Congratulations, Carrie Underwood.

Choctaw, Dirty Laundry, Chaser, Clock Don't Stop & Mexico were the standouts for me. It's so interesting that they released some of the weakest songs as grat tracks lol

I didn't want them sending all the good songs out first and then being disappointed with the rest of the album when it's released!

I prefer it this way too (though I don't agree WINKIAW and RR were the weaker tracks), and I am glad they saved the really strong singles for later to sustain album sales.

I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong. This album sounds flippin' amazing! It's so diverse and different from anything that she's done. I can't wait to buy this!

I'm beyond excited for this album!!! This really does feel like a huge milestone album for her, a completely new era! Everything sounds so fresh, SO GOOD!
And I'm so happy that I'll be able to buy the Target exclusive copy this time on release week itself. Timing for trip to US couldn't be more perfect!
p.s. Still killing the replay button for WINKIAW. :'(

The album's now in the top ten on iTunes, currently at #9. Really, really thrilled to see it doing so well in preorders. My hope is that some extra TV promo is announced soon, because it's unusually minimal this time around. She'll be in LA for Kimmel, so I'm not sure why there isn't a spot on Ellen or something booked already. Same as NYC -- GMA, Seth Meyers, Kelly & Michael, etc.

Ahh, Billboard is pushing Carrie's new song WINKIAW with a nice write up. The only problem is their link sends you to Taylor's' Bad Blood video. How professional. Hey, they can make mistakes but on Carrie's release week? Weird.
