HDD's new release forecast: ONE-DAYS: NOW IS THE TIME FOR NEW RELEASES NOW/UMe's Now 56 leads the week's pack of new releases; here's how the latest batch of debuts is shaping up, based on very early reads: Now 56 (NOW/UMe) 55-60k Def Leppard (Mailboat) 20-25k/21-26k We Love Disney (Verve) 16-19k, 18-21k The Neighbourhood (Columbia) 17-20k. 19-22k Looks like Carrie stands a great chance at #1 next week! Going off her album sales alone (rounding to 160k), a 60% drop next week would bring her to 64k sold. So without even considering streaming data, Carrie would lead (assuming 5SOS falls much harder than Carrie, which seems plausible). It could end up being close between 5SOS and Carrie again... I look forward to seeing their projections, fingers crossed Carrie comes out on top! Although the numbers aren't amazing, rising from #2 to #1 on the BB200 simply looks incredible. Keep streaming, guys! How will streaming work for the NOW collection? I assume it's full of hit songs that likely have good streaming.

Not sure, but since they're all past hits, I don't imagine streaming to be too substantial. And it may be so that streaming isn't counted because this is a compilation album??? ... honestly don't know.

It'll be interesting to see if 5SOS stays #1 or Carrie takes it. This is Carrie's only chance. After that we got albums from 1D, Bieber, and Adele. That takes care of the rest of the year pretty much.

Got my tickets for the Boston show! It was a hard-fought battle but eventually I was able to select my seats using their map of the arena. Sitting in Section 8, Row 8... Very pleased with my seats. Mainly because I won't be on the ground with the buffoons who never want to sit down. My short-ass cannot risk being on the floor and getting stuck behind LeBron fucking James. Happens every time it seems... not this time!

I got front row A in the 100 level in Greensboro, can't beat that! I didn't want the GA floor standing, that's way too long to stand for me. Can't wait!

Does anyone have a presale password? I'm trying to order four tickets for the April 22 show.

Would have been nice to get higher numbers. Anyway, congratulations to Carrie Underwood for being perfect so far. Six releases and six #1 country albums.

Does anyone have a presale password? I'm trying to order four tickets for the April 22 show. I don't think you'll have any luck... the passwords are specific to each member of the fan club, and there's a limit of four per person. I don't know if the album purchase passwords are different, but good luck.

Corden appearance tonight is postponed; will be rescheduled to another date that is TBD. Girl better plug the hell out of the new record on the CMAs and Project Runway if she wants to see a softer 2nd week sales plummet. ETA: Also, BHC was named as the #15 best Country crossover hit of all time. #1 was "9 to 5". "Cruise" was at #12, so do what you will with this countdown list from tonight's special.

Thanks. I was wondering why no one had talked about the special. Didn't she perform, too?

How much of an audience does Corden even draw? I don't think it's even 1.5 million, so this isn't a huge blow. I just saw the first part of the Crossover special tonight, and they played brief clips of "Smoke Break" and "WINKIAW" and was probably better promo than Corden.

Was "Cruise" a bigger crossover hit than BHC? Or too hard to compare because of the shift in the sales climate between the two songs? Just curious.

Was "Cruise" a bigger crossover hit than BHC? Or too hard to compare because of the shift in the sales climate between the two songs? Just curious. I think it's more of a case where you can't really compare them. "Before He Cheats" was released toward the beginning of the digital age, while "Cruise" came out during the peak. Also, there was only ever one version of "Before He Cheats", while there was at least one remix of "Cruise"; the main one featuring Nelly. In the end, "Before He Cheats" was, is, and will always be the more iconic song of the two. Statistically, "Cruise" ranks above "Before He Cheats" more or less because of when they were released, respectively. Culturally, though, in terms of impact, "Before He Cheats" takes the cake by a long shot.

I got tickets for Allentown, PA on 3/19! I bought GA tickets because I wanted to get as close as possible, but then realized I didn't feel like standing the entire time and risk not seeing anything after I saw some posts in here lol. I contacted the venue and they were nice enough to change my seats to the 100 section in the 2nd row. Also entered to win a M&G through the Fan Club. If I win, it would be my 4th time meeting Carrie.

Was "Cruise" a bigger crossover hit than BHC? Or too hard to compare because of the shift in the sales climate between the two songs? Just curious. "Cruise" peaked at #4 on the Hot 100 (compared to #8 for "BHC"), sold over 7 million downloads (compared to 4 million for "BHC"), and hit #7 on Top 40 radio (compared to #9 for "BHC"). So, purely in terms of statistics, it can be seen as bigger. Having said that, in terms of the TV special they didn't have any Faith Hill songs on the countdown so I don't think the rankings were anything realistic/official. "Breathe" should have been on there over most of the songs that were featured. "How Do I Live" wasn't included either, though they may not have seen it as a crossover hit since it wasn't a country hit.

At midweek, Now 56 looks likely to take the #1 spot on both the album and SPS charts this Friday. Wednesday night’s CMA Awards may be prove to be a wild card, as Carrie Underwood hosts and performs. Can her Storyteller album, in its second week, benefit enough from the show to overtake Now for #1? Here’s how it looks at midweek. *Now 56 (NOW/UMe) 54-59k Sales, 54-59k SPS Carrie Underwood (19/Arista Nashville) 42-47k, 48-53k*Def Leppard (Mailboat) 24-27k, 25-28k *We Love Disney (Walt Disney) 20-24k, 22-26k *The Neighbourhood (Columbia) 20-24k, 23-27k 5 Seconds of Summer (Capitol) 19-23k, 25-28k *Chris Janson (Warner Bros. Nashville) 16-20k, 18-23k Kidz Bop 29 (Razor & Tie) 16-19k, 17-20k *Elvis Presley (RCA) 16-19k 17-20k Blake Shelton (Warner Bros. Nashville) 15-18k, 19-22k The Weeknd (XO/Republic) 15-18k, 45-50k Taylor Swift (Big Machine/BMLG) 15-18k, 28-31k Pentatonix (RCA) 15-18k, 19-22k Andrea Bocelli (Verve) 12-15k, 13-16k Luke Bryan (Capitol Nashville) 12-15k, 17-20k ... Pardon me while I go ahead and drain my bank account by buying copies of "Storyteller" for everyone I know. Y'all should do the same, in addition to streaming the s**t out of this album. So help me God if Carrie gets blocked from #1 by a compilation album.

WTF! This is flopping. What could Carrie's team have done differently? This is a great album.
