Great choice! I'm just happy it isn't "Renegade Runaway".

If it's the next single, then I am ecstatic! If I could pick one song on the album to be a single, it would be "Dirty Laundry". I think the video could be epic.
Also, I'm even happier that it doesn't mean that the radio singles are going to be the songs that were released to iTunes before the album came out, like what happened with Play On!

DL will kill on country radio. I can imagine listeners jamming out to the drum accompanied falsetto chorus.

So so happy I was proven wrong about the prerelease songs being the singles! This should smash! As long as they steer clear of CCA which I still think they will...it's too polarizing I think.

Imagine if she wasn't dropping a hint and "Renegade Runaway" is really the next single? ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png)

Pulling for one of these three as well. Ideally, I'd love to see 2 of the 3 be released this era (preferably CCA and CB). I would love to see them release "Choctaw County Affair" next, but my instincts tell me that it's too soon for that. I believe the song has the capacity to be very well-received, and should they go 5+ singles deep as Sony disclosed earlier, it could be the single that generates the most momentum as she closes out the Storyteller era. I think "CCA" has the potential to become a 'career hit' of Carrie's in the vein of "Jesus, Take the Wheel," "Before He Cheats," "Blown Away," and "Something in the Water." If the label were to not send the track to radio, it would be biggest disservice to her singles discography we've seen thus far. I genuinely believe that it's the best song she's ever recorded. That being said, I think that "Dirty Laundry" and "Church Bells" would both be solid single choices (particularly "DL" as it has a very distinct place in the cheating/revenge songs realm). "Chaser"Â and "Relapse" would also work well, particularly the former because of the great vocal performance and well-constructed chorus. There are quite a few good picks on this record--something we haven't seen since Carnival Ride (honorable mention to Blown Away, however, as "Do You Think About Me" and "Wine After Whiskey" were missed opportunities for additional success). I think Play On had the most of any album. CC, TH, UI, and then Songs Like This, Quitter, Look At Me, SWISLY, What Can I Say, and This Time all would have done well

CC, TH, UI, and then Songs Like This, Quitter, Look At Me, SWISLY, What Can I Say, and This Time all would have done well ![](https://media.giphy.com/media/xQgedH4KinsuA/giphy.gif) Can't say I've ever heard that before! To each their own, but "Play On" was easily Carrie's least hit-packed record in my opinion. Sure, almost anything from that album would have been a hit on radio because it was Carrie, but other than the first 3 singles, I don't think there was another song that screamed that it needed to be a single. SWISLY potentially, but it was probably a bit too slow for radio, and maybe WCIS if it was a duet with anyone other than Sons of Sylvia. But even the singles from Play On pale in comparison to most of the album tracks from Carnival Ride, Some Hearts, Blown Away, and even my second least favorite album of Carrie's "Storyteller". I think "Dirty Laundry" and "What I Never Knew..." are the only songs left on the album that deserves to be singles, but I think Storyteller has been the album that has the fans the most divided on what songs should become singles from any Carrie album I've seen. There are only a few tracks that I've rarely seen thrown around for fans choices for singles this era: mostly "The Girl You Think I Am" and "Like I'll Never Love You Again", and to a lesser extent "Mexico" and "Clock Don't Stop". But when it comes to the other 9 tracks, fans are pretty split on whether they love the song as a single choice or not (except maybe that "Smoke Break" shouldn't have been a single at all...). Just interesting to me to see since during the last era it was quite obvious that "Blown Away", "Two Black Cadillacs", "Wine After Whiskey", "Do You Think About Me", and "Good Girl" were the fan favorites with "See You Again" and "Good In Goodbye" also seeing some love, as well as "One Way Ticket" also somehow having some supporters... ![(puke)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sick.png) So as far as singles from this album, I honestly wouldn't even know where to begin. "Dirty Laundry" screams hit to me much more so than "Church Bells" or "Choctaw", and especially "Renegade", but I'd expect one of those 4 to be next, but honestly it could be nearly anything. And back to you and your love for "Play On" carriefan15, I'm glad somebody is showing it some love ![](http://images.proboards.com/tongue.gif)

^^ Never understood the love for Quitter. Sure, it's cute and would've been a hit based on Carrie's name, but it sounded like a Taylor Swift reject (when she was still country), imo. As for Do You Think About Me, Good in Goodbye and Wine After Whiskey, I still have not forgiven Carrie's team for snubbing all three. ![:sip:](//storage.proboards.com/1258812/images/WfP77sf444N0bFhVzFU1.gif)

Didn't see the love for "Quitter" either, and I'll never forgive the label for not giving DYTAM and WAW a chance at radio...

It's looking like the laundry tweet may have been a false alarm.
Fortunately, I'm good with this choice too!

Where I agree with this, I think "Dirty Laundry" would be a perfect summer single. If it's "Church Bells" next I wonder if they are trying to spread out the love to the different producers?

Slightly disappointed if it's CB. Still hoping those stations are just playing their personal picks. Anything but, "Renegade Runaway," PLEASE! Where I agree with this, I think "Dirty Laundry" would be a perfect summer single. If it's "Church Bells" next I wonder if they are trying to spread out the love to the different producers? Cowrite could be a factor too.

I am thinking that we'll get RR or WINKIAW thrown into the remaining singles mix because if they did indeed use DL, CCA and CB as the last three singles, then that would be 3 singles in a row that aren't co-writes.

If "Church Bells" is next, it reaffirms my theory that the singles are going to go in order from tracks 5-1 on the album, which makes me happy since "Church Bells" is one of my favorites along with "Dirty Laundry". I know a lot of people are against "Renegade Runaway" as a single, but I think it would be a good way to close out the era even though the song has burned on me quite a bit.
The only thing is that if my theory is correct, "Choctaw County Affair" wouldn't be released which I know would upset a lot of fans. But it wouldn't be the first time a fan favorite or standout on a Carrie album doesn't get released as a single, so it shouldn't be that shocking.

I like CB, but it wouldn't make for as unique and attention-drawing of a singe as DL would. Or CCA. Or "Relapse". Does the horse still have a pulse?

"Church Bells" is not far behind. What would bother me more than anything if this backwards order theory was true is that the singles were all planned from the beginning. I know - as a fan - I'm lucky to follow an artist as consistently successful as Carrie. But I regardless, I can't help but wonder - as I'm sure all fanbases do - what Carrie's career would be like if they released songs that her fans truly wanted released. It's as easy as going on these message boards. Having more than the first couple singles planned before an album's release, in my opinion, is foolish. Get some feedback first.

CB has grown on me but at first impression it seemed like a second rate JADxTBC without as much of a hook as the former or as much attitude as the latter. I guess it's doing the best on streaming of the non-released songs though?

I'm seeing her in a few weeks. Where were your seats? I have GA and trying to figure out my gameplan for where to stand. I had GA in Pittsburgh, an I recommend standing in a bend in the stage, if that makes sense. There's the middle main stage and secondary stages on each end. Go in between the main stage and a side stage, you see from far more than I imagine infront of one stage. Okay, I'm seeing her tomorrow night and need some advice! What time did you arrive for the show? We should be there around the time doors open, think that will be good for a good spot in the pit?

I still think the next single is DL. Those stations might have jumped the gun and played what they wanted after HB reached the top.

On Carrie's Spotify page, "Church Bells" is the 3rd song that comes up on her popular list from the album after "Heartbeat" and "Smoke Break". So I guess that means it's the most streamed after those?

Ooops. I keep thinking CB is a cowrite because it reminds me so much of TBC and also the way Carrie likes to construct stories with a play on words. I am thinking that if co-write does play a significant part in them picking most singles every era (CR 3/5, PO 4/4, BA 3/4, Storyteller 3/3 so far), then we might not see more than one of DL/CCA/Relapse/CB get released :( .
