Don't Forget About Us > We Belong Together For sure... DFAU has everything...low note, whisperish note, high belted note, loooong note, whistle note. WBT is inferior but still a great track. Is it unpopular? After all these years, Zayn's discography is still better than Harry Styles's.

I was looking at the thread for Meghan Trainor's "Mother" and I was surprised to how strongly everyone seems to either love it or hate it. I would say I'm more in the middle. I think the hate for it is a bit much, as I like the doo-wop production. The song is also feels so quintessentially Meghan...it fits her artistry so well. However, lyrically, it feels a bit...derivative? It basically sounds like she remade "No" and "No Excuses" with different lyrics. The message is definitely a positive one, but it feels so much like the message behind "No" and "No Excuses" that it feels kinda boring and unmemorable to me. The sample is also not used in a creative way. I wouldn't say I actively dislike it, but for me it's just boring and repetitive of her previous songs.

Frank Ocean is arguably the biggest musical instance of the emperor having no clothes of the past decade. Two wildly average, overrated albums. Also a mediocre singer and performer all around.

That is waaaaay too many words to say 'WTF is David Guetta doing?'. we're talking about the ruination of WHAT IS LOVE BY HADDAWAY. Frankly, I don't think Chelsea Press 2 typed enough!! Frank Ocean is arguably the biggest musical instance of the emperor having no clothes of the past decade. Two wildly average, overrated albums. Also a mediocre singer and performer all around. Agreed. I gave his 2 charting songs a try "Dogtooth" & "Sorry Not Sorry". Can't decipher what supposedly sets him apart from other rappers 🤷♀️ --- OP: well my big unpopular opinion lately has been actually liking Jimin's latest songs lol. Like Crazy and Set Me Free P2 are 🔥

Albums are highly overrated as a concept. I prefer when artists are focused more on singles rather than whole albums, because the great majority of the songs on an album end up feeling like nothing more than filler.
In a related opinion, I hate when people look down on artists just because their strenghts are singles, not albums. Most of the time, I've seen that the label of "Singles-artist" is used to discredit someone's art or popularity (for example, Katy Perry or Bruno Mars in comparison with Lady Gaga and The Weeknd, respectively).

I prefer Madonna's version of American Pie over Don McLean's.

"Blank Space" is my least favorite single from 1989, and one of my least favorite singles by her in general. The melody just doesn’t do it for me. I would have much preferred "I Know Places" being a single instead.

Snooze by SZA is exactly what the song title says, a snooze, I don’t find this one interesting at all and doesn’t really do anything to me. She’s had way better.

I would have much preferred "I Know Places" being a single instead. I don't think that's too unpopular. Style is the most admired and beloved 1989 single.

I don’t subscribe to anything musically pertaining to Olivia Rodrigo. Nothing clicks. But she’s definitely talented.

Perhaps an even more unpopular opinion, it's my favorite single from SOS and probably my favorite single of her overall discography with the exception of "Good Days." (I feel like most would choose "Kill Bill" or "Nobody Gets Me" as best single from SOS)

Here’s an unpopular opinion that definitely no one on pulse will agree with whatsoever.
I Don’t Care is my favorite song from Ed Sheeran.
I doubt I’ll find anyone who will agree with this.
I like everything about this song due to personal reasons.

I am not a fan of Country or Luke Combs but i prefer his version of Fast Car to the Tracy Chapman version. it sounds better as a Country song that a bluesy/folk song i guess . i also prefer her song Give Me One Reason by alot to her Fast Car.

I don’t think Year End Hot 100s necessarily represent the music of whichever year.

I don’t think Year End Hot 100s necessarily represent the music of whichever year. This isn't really an unpopular opinion. The vast majority of people don't care or don't know of its existence despite whatever the people in the Hot 100 thread say.

While I wouldn't go as far as to say I dislike it, I don't love Tate McRae's "Greedy" as much as everybody else seems to. I like the production and her voice in the verses, but she sounds kinda whiney in the chorus IMO, which prevents me from fully enjoying it. I wouldn't mind if it became a hit, but it's just kinda meh for me and I prefer "She's All I Wanna Be."

Ayesha Erotica is the most influential (underground) artist of the past decade. She’s the most important nobody on the internet and the fact that legitimized artists are freaking out about her comeback says a lot about how much she’s impacted the industry with nothing but her android mic and GarageBand.
V curious to see what happens now that she has a management team and an actual studio.
