I'm just having a hard time stacking them up. I could easily just throw em all out and see what slot they land. They are all f**king great songs. Now I know what a hard time I would have with the Cars, Def Leppard or Duran Duran

I'm all for Bowie. It's so sad these great artists are passing away before we finish our tournaments though. :(

Pulse Top 10s #13 - Stone Temple Pilots - Results
The results are in for our 13th vote, Stone Temple Pilots with 20 ballots from the posters. Unsurprisingly Interstate Love Song dominated the field, appearing on all but one ballot. Plush is a reliable second place, with 14 of the 109 points coming from two votes for the acoustic version. Core and Purple dominated the top ranks, but every project from the group had some representation in the rankings. Every song from Purple except for Lounge Fly gathered points to make the chart. popstop, we actually already did top 10s for Muse, RHCP and Weezer, so I don't see us doing another poll for these bands soon. Also, welcome to the poll!

Submitted my ballot before bowie's death, would like to change my vote for System of a Down to David Bowie as well.
I'm not too familiar with Bowie's classic stuff but his just released new album is very good.

Unsurprising list. Normally non-singles are at the very bottom but here we have Top 10 Mainstream Rock single "Tumble in the Rough". Interesting.

"Sex Type Thing" #3. You guys are awesome! There was also a huge consistency with "Interstate Love Song" @#1.

Might be the first time my top 10 has accounted for just about all of the actual top 10. Guess that can't be too surprising, though, because STP's single choices were generally great. Can't complain about the #1, either. Would have preferred "Plush", of course, but "Interstate Love Song" is quite the solid #1 choice.

Queens Of The Stone Age finally win a vote after being on the ballot since our third vote (Linkin Park), with 11/20 voters throwing support behind Josh Homme and company. Another long-lasting artist has a negative result, as Nickelback, fall off the ballot with only three votes. They managed to stay on every ballot from the very beginning up to this point, and with support like that it shouldn't take too much to see them return. The two new artists are Radiohead after a very short absence, and Tool, who have bubbled under one of the ten ballot slots for some time now and finally get a chance to shine. The five artists that were closest to earning a slot this week but fell short are The Cars, INXS, David Bowie, Pearl Jam, and The Smashing Pumpkins. Here are the full standings:Queens Of The Stone Age - 11 Alice In Chains - 7 Nirvana - 7 Coldplay - 6 Deftones - 5 311 - 4 blink-182 - 4 The Cure - 4 The White Stripes - 4 Nickelback - 3Now just a quick side note regarding the unfortunate recent deaths of some influential and important artists from music history. I think it's important that for the Pulse Top 10s to be as successful as possible the artists selected have to be the most popular from all participating members. So please nominate these artists (ex. Bowie/the Eagles) if you wish and give them your support. If most of the members favor a vote then they'll go through the process relatively quickly like Stone Temple Pilots just did. Here's the link to the QotSA ballot!Voting closes Thursday, January 28th at Midnight EST. Thanks for voting!

Not going to do the Top 10, but I definitely need to dive into QOTSA's discography like I've been meaning to for the past year.

I just forget about it every time lol.

It's been awhile since one of my favorite bands has been picked but I greatly enjoyed this one. Of course ...Like Clockwork is one of my favorite albums of all time so it dominated the list.

I heard "The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret" a little bit on its way to becoming a radio hit that reached #29 or so. Liked it enough to go out and buy the [R] album, assuming I'd probably never hear from them again. I thought that record was great, plus it became that much sweeter to watch "No One Knows" rise all the way to the top, and become a song that still wins against the test of time today. Should be fun to vote in this one, even if it has the most easily predictable #1 to date. I've also stolen lines from their Bulby videos so many times. Those were pure hilarity. I almost want to vote for this one!

Gonna have to check out some of their other album tracks to come up with a top 10. Maybe I'll discover some gems along the way?

Just submitted. ...Like Clockwork was the only one with album tracks to be on my list; the rest are singles. Most of my list was from that album, too.

Submitted mine. I'm more inclined to their Melodic Pumpy Guitar material(singles) or Piano progressive like "Vampyre...". Didn't care at all for the dark/experimental stuff. and I discovered one fierce Romeo Void cover; which is now resides in my MP3 archives. Sorry if I didn't vote for the regular favs.

So I've been unable to access the internet for a good week, I come back to Pulse, and QOTSA is waiting for me in the Top 10 vote? Is this my birthday?
*looks at the deadline*
Huh. So it will be when the vote ends. Go figure.
Final tally: 1 for Era Vulgaris, 2 for Lullabies, 2 for ...Like Clockwork, 5 (including my #1) for Songs for the Deaf. Sounds about right.

After listening to all of the albums, I've come to the conclusion that they're hit or miss from me. "Sick, Sick, Sick" for example I find awesome, but other songs of theirs bore me to death. I probably could have done a Top 7 or 8 since near the end of my list, I found the songs to go downhill steeply.
