Miranda Lambert has made it kind of obvious during her acceptance speeches I feel like that she's tired of being the token winner every year but the industry just loves her, so nothing short of her hiding out and not doing anything seems to sway the voters to pick someone else. I really wanted to see Carrie take it this year too because I agree she had the more deserving year, but Chris Stapleton won over a bunch of guys with huge hits and he's had... none, so I don't think it's *that* big of a deal honestly, lol.

Kill that hope. I guarantee you Carrie is not even the next in line to win even if Miranda decides to sleep for the whole 2016. Honestly so depressing as a Carrie fan. I know other artists have it much worse. But to be the face and legs (hehe) of the show and not get a single thing, ESPECIALLY when you're clearly the most deserving is just awful. I'm just hoping Carrie has an undeniable 2016 so much so that the voters simply can't ignore her. GOD PLEASE! I'm willing to bet that if she caused World Peace she wouldn't win. It's like the most painful thing to be a Carrie Underwood fan. She gets all this acclaim radio supports her to no end and she gets the shaft. Miranda could release a song like Haley Georgia Ridiculous and she would still get the award on every level.

Honestly, I don't care if Carrie ever wins it again. They clearly has something against her since they can't even recognize her with a single EOTY nomination in previous years when she was undeniable. There is always some excuses not to recognize Carrie, and always some excuses to award Miranda even when her songs flopped. It has come to a point that Miranda would win just by farting into the microphone. It will be nice if Carrie could one day get some Song/Single/Album recognition though.

Like I did all the math data everything. How didn't Carrie win. Her radio performance outmatched Miranda. Sales it isn't even close SITW and LTG outsold amd outperformed LRW and Smoking and Drinking. This is just gonna eat away at me until Carrie wins or until Miranda does something stupid whichever one happens worse I can careless because I am sick and tired of it. Going by that logic, Chris shouldn't have won either. People can't have it both ways. They can't be all excited and say it's deserving that Chris wins even without airplay, and then make the argument that Carrie should have won FVOY because her airplay was so much better than everyone else's.

Miranda looked really upset tonight. She doesn't seem to be handling the divorce well. I'm thrilled for Stapleton, my boys won, LBT slayed, and the performances were amazing. Best CMAs in a long time.

I am a fan of Chris and honestly I am happy for him and his speech was magnificent. Would I rather have Dierks or Eric wins yes. But that speech made it worth it. P. S I am done for the night I really just whatever about it. I have my stance and everyone has theres I am not spending another time arguing circles not worth it Tonight.

This. Exactly. Tired of people complaining about Miranda's constant wins because she wasn't the indisputable biggest but then being totally okay with artists like Chris Stapleton or Kacey Musgraves winning things. I love Carrie and I would love to see things shaken up some and for her to win some Female Vocalist trophies too so it's not just Miranda every year, BUT the rabid Carrie fans need to stop spitting all this venom at Miranda Lambert like she's out there slipping the voters cash under the table.

Best CMAs in a long time. She seemed to be okay earlier this fall, but I wonder if the Gwen/Blake news upset her? That's what I'm thinking... it was all over Entertainment Tonight, TMZ, etc. Despite how strong she is, hearing/seeing that had to hurt, a lot. Poor girl! I wish her well!

Welp, what a great show! Happy with most of the awards, hopefully see a Carrie and Maddie and tae win come spring.
Chris and Justin killed it, but Reba, LBT, Kelsea, M+T Dierks and Carrie had great moments as well.

Let's compare singles Something In The Water to Little Red Wagon. That's not even close. Little Toy Guns to Smoking and Drinking. Once again Carrie wins. The single choices for critical acclaim is not even close with this one. Now of course Miranda had a whole album compared to Carrie's greatest hits so you can't technically compare albums but single wise it's not even close. All Miranda did was win awards for last year which that should not even count. Miranda got divorced and that was it and a tour that I didn't hear much from at all, Unless I am missing something here. Carrie Underwood had gold selling songs critical acclaim for her singles and she gave birth to her baby. Was the talk of the CMT Awards.

Dude, I am trying to bite my lip here, but you saying, "Once again Carrie wins," does not mean she has more critical success. What are you basing it on? Your own likes/dislikes? That is fine. But as a whole, Miranda has had more critical success. Take a look at the link Daryl posted above.

It's okay that we all don't agree. I like hearing differing viewpoints than what I think because it makes me do exactly that, think. So, just because people disagree with you or have a different opinion doesn't mean you shouldn't speak your mind. No hard feelings here. I hope you feel the same.

I can't believe Blake is dating Gwen Stefani, like WHAT. I guess we know why the divorce happened though.... Ugh, poor Miranda. Definitely not a good year for her, sadly.

All of Miranda's albums have metacritic scores above 80. Carrie hasn't had one yet.

It was literally the douchiest move ever to break that news today. Horrible. Their personal lives and divorce aside, I've found Blakes behavior and antics so off putting since then. Nothing against having a sense of humor at all, but he's been a rather classless act since the divorce news broke.

C'mon raylatch98, it just seems bitter, honestly to keep more or less complaining about Carrie losing. I predicted her to win, Cause I thought she would, but It's not a big surprise that Miranda took it instead. -- As for Chris Stapleton's success tonight, he has the whole of the artist community behind him, not unlike Little Big Town did when they finally broke out.

So can anyone tell me what Reba sang? Umm...this question possibly makes me feel very old. edit: btw it was "Why Haven't I Heard From You?" a hit she had in 1995, when I was only barely a teen myself lol.

Nothing against having a sense of humor at all, but he's been a rather classless act since the divorce news broke. He always has been. Which is honestly a lot of why I can't stand him or his music. He's always come off, to me, as an arrogant, immature, smug pig. But back to the CMAs so as not to derail the thread... Obviously Chris and Justin slayed the world in epic ways, but I also really enjoyed Dierks (duh), Maddie & Tae, Carrie, and *gasp* Eric's new single. Only muted 5 performances and didn't curse at the TV at all! The tide is turning! LOL
