I can't see Photograph or Wildest Dreams going #1. They're both surefire Top 10 hits but I don't see it happening. CFMF will probably be #1 for a couple more weeks. I still feel like if the timing is right, Lean On can sneak in a week at #1 but maybe it's just wishful thinking. Cheerleader is definitely done at #1, so maybe the next #1 will be a new single that hasn't been released yet?

So happy Uma Thurman and Good For You are about to crack the Top 10 on radio. Now Demi just needs to catch up

Do any upcoming singles have a chance of debuting at #1 before the year's over? If not, 2015 would be the first year since '08 that there were none. I know there are the Bieber and Ariana singles coming up, and I know it's been said that 1D could've done it had they dropped a video, but it also seems like you have to make a conscious effort nowadays to make it happen, ie. you have to come out with all guns blazing and have the video ready to drop with the single release along with a radio deal, basically making it as much of an Event as possible. Like it's kind of hard to imagine something like "Not Afraid" or "We R Who We R" debuting at #1 nowadays solely on the sheer popularity of the artist.

'Cheerleader' charges back to the top, while Del Rey's 'High By the Beach' crashes in as the week's best-selling song.

OMI hoists his debut hit "Cheerleader" back to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, rebounding 2-1 for a fifth week in charge. The reggae/pop smash dethrones "Can't Feel My Face" (1-2) by Hot 100 Music Festival headliner The Weeknd, which rose to No. 1 last week. As a consolation, The Weeknd adds a second top five this week, zooming 11-5 with "The Hills."

"Cheerleader," released on Louder Than Life/Ultra/Columbia, returns to the top of the Hot 100 while holding at its No. 2 peaks on both Radio Songs (149 million in audience, up 3 percent, according to Nielsen Music) and Streaming Songs (16.3 million U.S. streams, up 2 percent). On Digital Songs, which it led for four weeks, "Cheerleader" remains at No. 3 (119,000 downloads sold, down 8 percent, in the week ending Aug. 13).

At five weeks on top for "Cheerleader," OMI boasts the longest-leading reggae No. 1 on the Hot 100 by a solo male in more than 22 years. The last reggae ruler by a solo male to reign longer? Snow's "Informer," which led for seven weeks in March-April 1993. Among all acts, the last reggae No. 1 to spend more than four weeks on top: MAGIC!'s "Rude" (six weeks) last summer.

Despite its slip from the Hot 100's summit, The Weeknd's "Face" remains the most-heard song on radio, spending a second week at No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart, up by 4 percent to 158 million in audience. It keeps at No. 2 on Digital Songs (which it led two weeks ago), with 119,000 downloads sold (down 11 percent), and No. 4 on Streaming Songs (13.8 million, down 10 percent). "Face" also leads Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for a fifth week.

Once again, the race for the pinnacle was a close one for the Hot 100's top two songs, with OMI's "Cheerleader" finishing at No. 1 thanks to its less than 1 percent loss in overall chart points, as compared to a 5 percent drop for The Weeknd's "Face."

Still, The Weeknd boasts two simultaneous top five Hot 100 hits, as "The Hills" rockets 11-5. The track holds at No. 5 on Streaming Songs (13.3 million, essentially even from last week), backtracks 7-8 on Digital Songs (75,000, down 1 percent) and debuts at No. 42 on Radio Songs (30 million, up 37 percent). Highlighting its multi-format rise at radio, it jumps 11-6 on Rhythmic Songs and 32-28 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and debuts at No. 31 on Pop Songs.

Between The Weeknd's "Face" and "The Hills" on the Hot 100, Silento's "Watch Me" rebounds back to its No. 3 peak from No. 4, while leading Streaming Songs (21.2 million, up 3 percent) and Hot Rap Songs for a fourth week each. At No. 4 on the Hot 100, Major Lazer and DJ Snake's "Lean On," featuring MO, reaches its best rank, lifting 5-4, highlighted by it 9-4 burst on Digital Songs (89,000, up 27 percent). On Radio Songs, it pushes 5-4 (108 million, up 9 percent). With "Lean," DJ Snake ties a career-best Hot 100 rank: "Turn Down for What," with Lil Jon, peaked at No. 4 last year. "Lean" additionally dominates Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart for a fifth week.

Outside the Hot 100's top five, Rachel Platten's "Fight Song" hits a new Hot 100 high, climbing 7-6. It stays at its No. 6 peak on Radio Songs (95 million, down 4 percent).

Del Rey's "Beach" blasts in at No. 7 on the Hot 100, launching at No. 1 on Digital Songs with 248,000 sold to become her first Digital Songs No. 1 (and score the alt-pop singer-songwriter her best sales week for a download). The cut also drew 2.4 million streams in its first week of availability; with its official video having premiered Aug. 13, it should grow in streams following a full first week of clicks, to be reflected on next week's charts.

"Beach" starts as the Hot 100's second-highest debut of 2015; only One Direction's "Drag Me Down" made a grander entrance, arriving at No. 3 last week. (This week, "Drag" plummets to No. 27, down by 82 percent to 63,000 sold after its highly-anticipated 350,000-unit debut last week.) Del Rey instantly adds her second Hot 100 top 10, following "Summertime Sadness" (with Cedric Gervais), which reached No. 6 in September 2013.

Rounding out the Hot 100's top 10, Fetty Wap (who's also performing at the Hot 100 Fest) posts two songs in the region for a fourth week: his former No. 2 smash "Trap Queen" (9-8) and "My Way," featuring Monty, up 10-9 after reaching No. 7; Swift's "Bad Blood," featuring Kendrick Lamar, drops 6-10 (having topped the chart dated June 6).

In action just below the Hot 100's top 10, Selena Gomez's "Good for You," featuring A$AP Rocky, lifts 13-11 (after debuting at its No. 9 high seven weeks ago); Fetty Wap's third Hot 100 hit, "679," featuring Remy Boyz, reaches a new peak (17-14); and Ed Sheeran's "Photograph" (19-16) and Demi Lovato's "Cool for the Summer" (20-17) also each hit new highs. Be wary, it could switch either this or next week. The airplay gap narrows, the sales gap narrows this week thanks to the performance and the remix which should extend further next week, and the video streaming lead The Weeknd had might reverse.

(I don't want it to happen as much as you do, but after Shake it Off returned to the top for 2 straight weeks, I've become more cautious about overconfidence)

Looks like my skepticism was rightly placed for once. Judging by performance, I'd say it's the music video debut that threw everyone off. Last week was nonindicative of streaming momentum because of it. I was a bit off on radio (CFMF gained 4% and Cheerleader only 3% despite the former having more to begin with), but I knew sales driven by the performance would buffer Cheerleader's decline.

On another note, kworb said 67,000 sales for High by the Beach, while the article lists 248,000. What in the world happened here?

If needed maybe they will re-post the article and ranking in the top 10, at least I hope so (I'm a big fan of Lana.. but this... is just ludicrous and I hate it when a good singer's top 10 is not hard-earned but rather just a mistake made by billboard..)
