Someone suggested this for Best Dance Song. Was it released in North America? Apparantly it was a big hit last year in Europe (summer of 2002).

It was released to the clubs a few months ago [basically meaning it's done] in the US. I don't like it at all.

My daughter loves this song (she's almost 4!)... it's very novelty dance, but definitely was released in the USA this year.
At any rate, as you can see, it is currently in the Top 5 on the dance airplay chart (Billboard)...
1 1 Something Happened On The Way To Heaven Deborah Cox J RECORDS 2 2 Never Roc Project TOMMY BOY 3 3 Alone Lasgo ROBBINS 4 4 I Begin To Wonder Dannii Minogue ULTRA *5 5 You Promised Me (Tu Es Foutu) Ingrid BENZ STREET/ZYX/WAAKO

I love this song. Who would've thought to use an accordian in a dance song? Anyway, it's lots of fun, especially in French. And if you know what "tu es foutu" means, you'd be amused.

It was released this year? Ooh. Talk about slow crossover. I suppose that's dance for ya!

It was a big hit in Australia early this year.
I hate it... it's bloody annoying.

This week, In-Grid makes it 16 weeks on the club play chart in Billboard, sliding to #49. Still, 16 weeks is (I believe) the longest running song on the chart in many months, if not the entire year. Usually the #1 songs may get about 12-13 weeks on the chart, but 16 is pretty rare in one chart run.

Yeah it is old. They already have a completely new album overseas with some similar sounding dance songs with the accordion. I think the song is a good song though - I like the non-English version though ... so at least I can learn another language. :)

This song is like 3 years old. Back than I liked it, but now itΒ΄s kind of annoying. Especially the english version sucks.
Listening to it takes me back to the time when I was living in Europe. This song was HUGE back than.

Got to #4 on my chart last year. I love the French version, it's so droll ... the English translation misses the French nuances - "tu es foutu" means "you are ruined"!

I LOVE THIS JAM!Β Hella hatin' on it in hurr.Β :oΒ My local Spanish contemporary station has been playing this a lot in the past few weeks (?) and I LOVE it.Β I was like, "Wait a sec, I don't understand what they're saying," then I realized it wasn't in Spanish. Β Hella JAM!Β The English version isn't as good.Β I wish I could buy an mp3 of the original.Β :'(

Energy 92.7 in San Francisco just added this yesterday! So that makes it 2 Bay Area stations playing it! :o Does Energy play the English version? I'm pretty sure VIVA (KVVF San Jose) is playing the French version. It sounds French.

Energy 92.7 usually plays the English version. I have only heard them play it twice. Party 92.7 that used to be on a year ago played only the English version.
