It also looks like some AC stations were turned into HAC stations. Still, that's a huge amount of audience gain! Must be boosted thanks to the album release.  |

One of our local AC stations is playing nearly alllll Christmas music but they did play Hello in the middle of all the holiday songs as if Hello were a holiday song.

If a station moves to a different format, do they keep playing the same music or do they adapt to the new format?
Or were they already playing different type of music so that's why they moved in the first place?

If christmas songs were playing here from mid november i would got suicidal/homicidal thoughts weeks before reaching december 25 (and i don't even dislike christmas) |

f**k AC it's ruining her Total AI!!! For now. Long as she keeps getting impressive/semi impressive AIs on all the other formats for just 4/5 more weeks, she def. still has a shot to break some radio records w/ the rate she's going. It's only on day 30, still doing a killing w/ single sales etc etc...No reason at all for this to semi slow down anytime soon. |

I haven't heard any Christmas music yet, but the Christmas lights in the city are up, shops have theirs up, a few houses in my area. |

I'm in the US and I enjoy the holiday season but I think the AC stations that go ALLLLLLLLLLLLL Christmas music are silly. Years ago, stations would play all Christmas music formats on Dec 24 + 25. To me that was a good thing. Up until Dec 23 they played a mix of everything but then on Dec 24 it would go all Christmas. Now some stations have switched to all Christmas before the US even has Thanksgiving. It is sort of overkill if you ask me. If anyone can maybe get some play in the midst of all-Christmas play it's Adele.

Loved her performance on SNL. It was so great seeing her stand there and SING without all the silliness that sometimes clouds performances like all the dancers, costuming and lighting. It seems people really love seeing a singer stand and sing a gorgeous song.
