There's only a handful of artists I buy the physical CD...Amos Lee, Jack Johnson, Coldplay and Adele. Then maybe a random one here and there.
Adele will sell a ton of physical albums for 25.

Justin Bieber has 3 songs in the iTunes top 10 right now. The Hot 100 is going to be a mess next week with all of the Bieber & 1D tracks

There's no need to announce anything regarding a second single from Adele until after New Years at the very least. She'll be dominating headlines with other stuff up until then anyway, save a single announcement for later. They already mentioned the next single in one of her interviews. I forget the exact title, but it's the one (or one of the ones) that Ariel Rechtshaid had a hand in.

Yeah, but the fact that both will be releasing the same week, there will be even more 1 week appearances. Bieber has 19 tracks on his album. 1D has 17. Hits is projecting that Bieber could do 80-100k TEA units. That's a lot of track sales, plus the streaming.

The Hot 100 as a whole perhaps. The top portion of the chart should be relatively normal
The big album releases chart everything of course but only a few from each make any noticeable dent.

It will be interesting to see if another song or two from Adele gain traction once the album is out. I can see radio playing a couple songs by her at the same time.
Is "Hello" kinda creepy to anyone else? I mean, if someone was calling me a thousand times and I wasn't answering, it's because I don't want to talk to the person. I would take out some kind of restraining order.

True, although I could see Adele making a big dent the week after, particularly if she's on steaming services. Radio stations will almost certainly give some of her album cuts curiosity spins, and they'll be selling like crazy digitally too.

I don't know, I've never seen HAC or AC play album tracks in large amounts before, and pop radio has only done it couple of times since I've followed the charts (Dark Horse and Style). Some of her album tracks could go top 50 on Triple A though.

So it definitely won't have enough points based on one day, but Missy's new song seems to be getting a lot of attention (at least in my little niche of the world) -- any initial take on how it's performing?

Why has Focus flatlined while Hello still roaring up like the greatest madness? In this case, is it more of audiences' attitude or company deal stuff?

Why has Focus flatlined while Hello still roaring up like the greatest madness? In this case, is it more of audiences' attitude or company deal stuff? The fact the "Hello" is still selling like hotcakes, is regarded as a fantastic song, is liked by an overwhelming majority, and "Focus" is none of that. Also, "Focus" hasn't flatlined. It's performing pretty typically for a song of its type. "Hello" is abnormal.

Why has Focus flatlined while Hello still roaring up like the greatest madness? In this case, is it more of audiences' attitude or company deal stuff? I def think its the public rightfully not feeling the song. Its really pretty weak, not memorable and a total, blatant retread of Problem (I know, I know it's been said 100+ x). Everyone out of the gate LOVED Hello. I wasnt one of them. Def was one of the very, very few lol but it's quickly growing on me now and 'get' why its creating a major forest fire. Like Ive said, I think the Rick Ross? radio version/edit (if it's official and not a remix that radio just happens to be playing here/there) def. takes it up many notches

It's always funny when Pulse bullies up against a song. It's been awhile since I've witnessed people wanting a song to fail so bad. Like really?
