Maybe OOTW really does have a chance to be a minor hit. Probably not top 10, but maybe in the top 30 or so. Amazing for a 6th single.

Still peaked at #18 :kii: It's already a Top 40 (and Top 20) hit and it is not a minor hit and no chance of being a minor hit anymore but OOTW is already a major hit.

I wouldn't be so optimistic. Top 40 is still considered moderate at best. I'm not seeing this song being a top 10 hit due to it both being the 6th single and the fact that it's not doing well on iTunes, I see it being a top 20 hit at most.

If song goes top 40 and has a long chart run it's done quite well. But the songs that peak top 40 and spend only a few weeks on the chart I don't think of them has hits even if they technically are.

Predictions
Rank - Song - Sales - Airplay - Streams = Points
1 - Sorry - 80 - 145 - 20.0 = 43,400 2 - Love Yourself - 140 - 120 - 17.5 = 43,100 3 - Hello - 90 - 150 - 15.0 = 39,200 4 - Stressed Out - 125 - 105 - 11.0 = 33,100 5 - Here - 40 - 130 - 6.5 = 23,500 6 - Same Old Love - 45 - 115 - 6.5 = 22,500 7 - Roses - 75 - 70 - 8.0 = 22,100
This week, it's Bieber vs Bieber and it is looking VERY CLOSE. Hard to pick a favorite at the moment. If Love Yourself doesn't make it this week, it will definitely get it next week.
"My House" has a shot at entering Top-10 this week, but will need a big increase in streaming. See how it looks later........

With LY just devouring everyone else's airplay lately, I'm thinking it's gonna hit #1 this week. Sorry has been dropping in both sales and streaming pretty badly lately, so it's only a matter of time. Surprised Here is getting so high now despite such weak sales and streaming. That bottom half of the top 10 is not safe for long.
Also, does any have an idea why digital sales have taken such a nosedive since last year? Last year we had at least 7 or 8 songs doing 100k+ sales at this time, with Uptown Funk often doing 200-400k weekly. Now there's only 3 songs doing those 100k+ numbers (LY, SO, and MH), and none of them are doing over 200k. I guess we'll have to see what My House and Stressed Out do later on, but right now it's not looking good.

Streaming (Spotify in particular) is bigger now and that likely took a lot of potential buyers of digital download, why buy when you can just stream (and legally at that) The Christmas itunes card boost was also soft last year

Despite lukewarm streams and sales, I think Out of the Woods may have a shot at the top 10 if the airplay continues to be strong, maybe it can pull off a week in the top 10 like Photograph last year

This week, it's Bieber vs Bieber and it is looking VERY CLOSE. Hard to pick a favorite at the moment. If Love Yourself doesn't make it this week, it will definitely get it next week. Either way, Bieber's gonna become the next of one of the few to replace himself at the summit.

Any chances on Empire of the Sun's "Walking On a Dream"? I saw that it was hit on iTunes Top 40.

In fact, I expect it to hit a brick wall on radio pretty soon because there obviously isn't huge demand for it from consumers.

Might make the Top 10 on Pop like Birthday, or it might lose out like This Is How We Do. But I don't think it's gonna even get close to #1.

Wow - it's steady at #1 but for the last 12 hours, "Love Yourself" has been at .98 or higher. That's a tight race.

I'm pretty sure Love Yourself will be #1 this week or it will be very close but is there any chance of Stressed Out going #1 in the coming weeks?

If Stressed Out makes it (#1), it'd be the first rock(ish) song since We Are Young

Yeah, sales does play a role with radio programmers - but the biggest make or break at radio is how the song tests out with listeners. Not all big radio hits are big sellers and not all big sellers are big radio hits. It's not looking great overall without the label and/or her putting in some work - that's for sure. It needs something to give it a shot in the arm in the very near future.

With current trends and some assumptions (especially with Adele's video release), here's my rough prediction for the next few weeks:
2/06/2016 1. Love Yourself (Might be slipping on sales, holds steady on streaming, gains plenty of airplay). 2/3. Sorry/Hello (Hello's slipping faster on streams, while Sorry's slipping more on sales. Both are slipping on airplay). 4. Stressed Out (Too far behind to catch up this week, but closes the gap since its still gaining on everything).
2/13/2016 1. Love yourself (Holds steady with streaming, slips a little more on sales, still gains airplay, but more slowly.) 2. Stressed Out (Maybe #3 or 4 if it peaks on airplay early, but otherwise still closing the gap.) 3/4. Hello/Sorry (Hello slipping on streaming more, Sorry slipping even further on sales, and both losing airplay faster than before).
2/20/2016 2/20 1. When We Were Young (Most likely time for video to drop. Great streaming, okay sales, okay airplay. Streaming won't be enough to save it from slipping from airplay not catching up like with Hello. Still not sure whether it will be enough to get to #1 at all.) 2. Love Yourself (Slips on streaming and sales, maybe peaking on airplay.) 3. Stressed Out (Whether it gets any higher depends on if it manages to plug the airplay gap a bit). Hello and Sorry in freefall at this point.
2/27/2016 1/2. Love Yourself or Stressed Out (Depends on if Stressed Out is able to close the gap). 3. When We Were Young (Probably back the next week when airplay catches up. Will also depend on whether sales increase.)
A lot of this will depend mainly on sales, which have the tendency to drop like a rock once the decline starts (besides the usual post-holiday drop). If either LY or SO lose their sales leg, if the other isn't quick to follow (or has padded their streaming/airplay lead), it's all over. If both lose it, WWWY might as well have a multiple week run at #1 with how weak the rest of the chart is (provided the streaming is really strong).

I think there's a good chance of When We Were Young possibly going #1 the week of the Grammy's effect. A live performance could easily send sales up. And if there's a music video, that will definitely help too
