I feel like this is going to be a big mess if and when it happens.

Cool Nominations for the most part. I'm surprised DJ Snake is still considered "new" though.

I feel like this is going to be a big mess if and when it happens. Fox postpones first ever EDM award show BY MORGAN LEE, APR 12 2016EDM Remember when we told you EDM was dead? Today, US television network Fox has announced that the inaugural edition of their EDM award show – the Electronic Music Awards – is to be postponed. The ceremony was due to take place this month, but a representative informed Billboard that this is no longer the case: “As this is the first year of the awards, we have the luxury of flexibility, which we are taking advantage of to decide the optimal timetable to present the awards. With this opportunity, we felt that it would better to represent the electronic music calendar in the fall rather than the spring.” The festival had already announced the nominations – which included nods for famous EDM folks Jamie xx, Major Lazer and Skrillex (don’t worry, Prurient, there’s always next year) – and was co-founded by international man of trance Paul Oakenfold, so how could it possibly fail? With Avicii quitting, Las Vegas declaring it’s all over and SFX going the way of the dodo, you have to wonder whether Fox simply saw the writing on the wall, and “in the fall” actually means “we’ve canned it, and are looking into an awards show celebrating vaporwave”. It could happen, folks. Source
