She apparently had a single called "The Sweetest Thing" that charted before "Doo Wop." Also she was credited as a feature on a couple songs before that too. Doo Wop was the first Hot 100 song. 'Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You' charted on the airplay chart a few months before Doo Wop did but did not appear on the Hot 100 So I saw Sweetest Thing listed as a single of hers here: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauryn_Hill_discographyBut it appears to be an error, as she was featured rather than lead as far as I can tell. So Doo Wop was her first song as a lead artist to chart, although she had 3 songs chart where she was featured beforehand.

The wiki song lists get into the whole world of it is credited and what is not which I guess is a matter of opinion and which one you believe
Example, 'If I Ruled The World' is listed as Nas Featuring Lauryn Hill but charted on Billboard as a Nas solo single (with an uncredited female vocal for Lauryn Hill) and Guantanamera charted as Wyclef Jean featuring the Refugee All Stars
The Sweetest Thing on the other hand charted as Refugee Camp All Stars Featuring Lauryn Hill on the AirPlay chart

This song is so nicely-produced for a club-banger that it's almost genius.

Do clubs play it? Although I doubt most people are listening to the lyrics: "Welcome to my house... we don't have to go out". It's kind of an anti club song

On the other hand.... it could become "The House Party Anthem".

Going for Top 40 Adds this week: 1 OMAR ALHINDI Back To Me It will be a hit on Billboard Hot 100 by summer of 2016. What happened to Jaafar's "Sixteen"? Is this ended already so he's looking for the next song or not yet? I thought it will be a hit by spring, but it will hit by summer.

I think I expected more success of Dessert, Get Ugly or Cake By The Ocean than My House.

^ well I hope so. I think that top ten is not much to ask for at all. It's not like I want it to be #1 (there are other songs I'd rather see at #1 though I wouldn't mind if it made it there eventually either, but wouldn't be upset if it didn't)

If sales estimates and my streaming extrapolations hold, things aren't looking hot for Coldplay:
38 million to 38.5 million over 4 days; 39 million by Monday? 75,000 sales 1 million YouTube; 500k in first 3 days including bit of Super Bowl exposure 2,551,127 Spotify 6 days; 3 million today? 10% for other outlets
With the sales/9, radio/10000, and streams/1200 formula, that only gives 15,900 points, pretty far from what's needed on average for a top ten.

I just noticed that Maroon 5's "Sugar" has over 1 billion VEVO views and is 'only' 300k behind "Uptown Funk." I would have never guessed that.

So many songs are falling inside the Top 20 on radio. So it looks like Flo Rida, Rihanna, DNCE, G-Eazy, and Selena all have an easy trip to the Top 10 if they keep up their current momentum.

Me Myself & I 8. Roses 9. Pillowtalk 10. Adventure Of A Lifetime(?) I know someone on this thread said that AOAL has little chance but I honestly can't imagine what else #10 would be...Hands To Myself I feel will have less points, In The Night is (sadly) on the decline now and Summer Sixteen will obviously fall out of the top ten this week (possibly even top 20). This may be one of those weeks where there's a huge gap between 9 and 10

I know it's catchy. But the melody sounds somehow unoriginal, same with Aqua's Barbie Girl or DJ Snake & Alunageorge's You Know You Like It (Remix) or... The Weeknd's Prisoner or Wicked Games, or... Charlie Puth's Some Type of Love I ironically almost love all of those songs but just trying to figure out why they sound so "derived" from an old melody or sample even if they might not really be from a sample

I guess it's my guilty pleasure song of this year, kinda like Trap Queen last year. I guess we will see how CBTO does on the charts

How high could WWWY go if streaming is notable? What would it have to stream to snag that 10 spot?
Also we have no insight into how Formation is performing on Tidal, right?

Lmao I JUST NOW found out that DNCE (the group that performs Cake By The Ocean) has Joe Jonas in it. Well clearly his attempts to become more or less relevant like his brother/former bandmate are working since the song is already up to #14 on the Hot 100 and still climbing so I applaud that. Never thought he would be one to sing a song with lyrics like those though lol :|
