I still hope for CBTO to make top ten. It's still gaining on pop if I'm not mistaken. Such a catchy song... I know it's catchy. But the melody sounds somehow unoriginal, same with Aqua's Barbie Girl or DJ Snake & Alunageorge's You Know You Like It (Remix) or... The Weeknd's Prisoner or Wicked Games, or... Charlie Puth's Some Type of Love I ironically almost love all of those songs but just trying to figure out why they sound so "derived" from an old melody or sample even if they might not really be from a sample I love CBTO but I have to agree... This song reminds me a lot of Uptown Funk.

This song reminds me a lot of Uptown Funk. CBTO reminds me of Maroon 5's TSGHLAM more than anything tbh (especially the "I-I-I-I-I-I" part). CBTO is a much, much catchier version of the M5 song to me. Parts of it kinda sound like M5's other song Sugar to me too (i.e. the "waste time on a masterpiece" part)

So impressed with the longevity of "Wildest Dreams" on radio, especially for a 5th single. It's in its 24th week, and it's still in the top 15.

She apparently had a single called "The Sweetest Thing" that charted before "Doo Wop." Also she was credited as a feature on a couple songs before that too. Doo Wop was the first Hot 100 song. 'Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You' charted on the airplay chart a few months before Doo Wop did but did not appear on the Hot 100 So she has released singles before that failed to hit the Hot 100, and Doo Wop was her first song to do so, even though it was not her debut single. Is that it? Same thing with Baauer, right? I believe he'd released some singles before HS, so that wasn't really his debut single.

I'm surprised no one's mentioning this, but Hello - Adele could possibly break the record of most weeks in the top 10 after a top 10 debut, the current record holders (Starships, Sugar, What Do You Mean) had 21 weeks
Unless it falls suddenly, it could beat that, it's still in the top 5 after 15 weeks

It has the same number of weeks, but isn't falling as fast.

Anyone have a mock-up of what the top 10 is likely going to look like? 1. Love Yourself 2. Stressed Out (starting to think it'll peak here, unfortunately...) 3. My House 4. Sorry 5. Work 6. Hello 7. Me Myself & I 8. Roses 9. Pillowtalk 10. Adventure Of A Lifetime(?) I know someone on this thread said that AOAL has little chance but I honestly can't imagine what else #10 would be...Hands To Myself I feel will have less points, In The Night is (sadly) on the decline now and Summer Sixteen will obviously fall out of the top ten this week (possibly even top 20). This may be one of those weeks where there's a huge gap between 9 and 10 First the prediction for PILLOWTALK was #5, then #7, and now #9?

Wouldn't it be more realistic for Sorry to take that record? It has the same number of weeks, but isn't falling as fast. Sorry, I just realized that. I think Sorry will be able to do it. It's still going strong and only has to last 7 more weeks in the top 10. I think Hello will either barely miss the record or barely beat it. Prediction: Hello: 20-23 weeks in top 10. Sorry: 22-25 weeks in top 10.

I highly doubt it'll be in the top 5 though. I think #7 is the highest it could possibly be.

52 When We Were Young Adele 1806845
Great start for this on spotify - should provide a nice boost for it on the Hot 100. It's climbing more and more each day on spotify so I expect it'll do around 2.5-3 million streams next week. Perhaps even more with the Grammys performance coming up.

Let's do some calculations PILLOWTALK: Sales ~= 81k/9 = 9000Airplay ~= 30M/10k = 3000Streaming ~= 13.2M/1200 = 11000Total = 23000Roses: Sales ~= 45k/9 = 5000Airplay ~= 80M/10k = 8000Streaming ~= 7.8M/1200 = 6500Total = 19500Me Myself & I: Sales ~= 63k/9 = 7000Airplay ~= 55M/10 = 5500Streaming ~= 12M/1200 = 10000Total ~= 22500so it probably won't be #9 then I guess. It'll come really close between 7 and 8. I have a feeling sales isn't weighted quite as heavily as everyone thinks (maybe sales/10 instead of sales/9). I'm gonna predict that PILLOWTALK will be #8, with Me Myself & I at #7 and Roses at #9

Revised Predictions: Rank | Song | Sales | Airplay | Streams | Points | | 1 | Love Yourself | 95 | 140 | 16.0 | 37,900 | | 2 | Stressed Out | 95 | 135 | 13.0 | 34,900 | | 3 | Sorry | 50 | 135 | 17.0 | 33,200 | | 4 | My House | 130 | 75 | 11.0 | 31,100 | | 5 | Hello | 60 | 110 | 12.0 | 27,700 | | 6 | Work | 100 | 65 | 10.0 | 25,900 | | 7 | PILLOWATALK | 80 | 30 | 16.0 | 25,200 | | 8 | Me, Myself & I | 60 | 55 | 12.5 | 22,600 | | 9 | Roses | 45 | 80 | 9.0 | 20,500 | | 10-12 | Stitches | 25 | 80 | 8.0 | 17,400 | | 10-12 | Adventure of a Lifetime | 75 | 40 | 6.0 | 17,300 | | 10-12 | Hands To Myself | 50 | 50 | 8.0 | 17,200 | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
* Top 5 looks set, with Love Yourself regaining #1 spot, while "Stressed Out"and "My House" jumping to #2 and #4 respectively. * Work should enter Top-5 in coming weeks, while PILLOWTALK held better than anybody expected. It might hang around in the lower half of Top-10 for a few more weeks now, it looks like. Zayn has a genuine hit. * Me, Myself & I overtakes Roses, and I have a feeling it is going to be in Top-10 for a long long long time. * It has got pretty interesting for #10. "Adventure of a Lifetime" couldn't maintain the momentum. On the other hand, Stitches is showing great longevity. Hands To Myself also has a shot at re-entering Top-10.

Last week, it had 22.3M streams. So this week it should have 15.5-16.5M streams.

^ Wait, how did you get 16M streams for PILLOWTALK? Lmfao
Also Sitiches will be #12 at best. 10 and 11 will be the other two you mentioned

Streaming is killing Stressed Out's chances of being #1 :( I'd say it's a combination of everything, not just streaming. It always manages to have slightly worse sales and airplay than Love Yourself too. Neither of these songs have any real weak points anymore, but Love Yourself just has better numbers all around.

I'm gonna predict that PILLOWTALK will be #8, with Me Myself & I at #7 and Roses at #9 You are underestimating PILLOWTALK's streaming: Format TW LW %Change Spotify 7.63 9.49 -19.6% Youtube 4.50 7.08 -36.5% So overall, it should see 25-30% drop. Last week, it had 22.3M streams. So this week it should have 15.5-16.5M streams. How does it get so much streaming outside of YouTube and Spotify? I thought those two would be 90% of total streaming. Anyway, even under my model, PILLOWTALK is ahead so I will change my prediction to PILLOWTALK at #7 and MM&I #8. Stressed Out will likely be ahead of Love Yourself in airplay very soon and possibly sales as well (LY saw a weird surge the last few days...maybe a low key commercial feature or something. Ultimately, streaming will likely be the downfall of Stressed Out. It was so close too :(

I'm actually thinking that airplay's gonna be about the same for the two going forward. Both songs are maxing out their potential at pop radio, and are only having decent to bad gains on rhythmic and HAC. I imagine they're both gonna peak at around the same place. As for sales, Stressed Out's been on a bigger downward spiral than Love Yourself for a couple weeks now. Unless Love Yourself absolutely crashes in sales in a couple days, I'm pretty sure the streaming would be nothing but the nail in the coffin. I'm thinking My House is gonna knock them both out in the next couple weeks. Sales for that song have not cooled down from the Super Bowl, and it's making a lot of gains everywhere else too.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised either if My House eventually spends a week or two at #1. It still has plenty room to grow on airplay and streaming before that happens though.
And actually on pop radio Stressed Out is gaining nicely on Love Yourself (LY is decreasing while SO is still steadily increasing...though I get what you're saying in that SO probably won't be increasing for much longer)

Just for a nice comparison to see how they're both growing in airplay right now.

My House I think is likely the next #1, sales are so good and it will only rise soon enough on both airplay and streaming

Acquainted is the next single of The Weeknd? 3 weeks in a row on the Hot 100. It sounds so much like The Hills...
