It did have a boost in sales, which might give it just enough points now that Stressed Out has kinda stalled in some areas. The Grammy Awards lived up to its billing as “Music’s Biggest Night,” according to same-day numbers from Border City Media’s BuzzAngle Music platform, which collects daily data from all meaningful U.S. sellers of music, both digital and physical, as well as music streaming services.

– Nominated artists gained on average an increase of 17,000 album sales (a 27.8% increase) and 118,000 song sales (a 39.7% increase) on Grammy Monday as opposed to forecast.


– “Let it Go” by James Bay was the top selling song on Grammy Monday (21,000) as well as the largest growth against forecast (over 18,000). Alabama Shakes “Don’t Wanna Fight” had the largest % increase against forecast, over 1,900%.

Basically when you see *** you can't really take the number too seriously. It could be something like the song slipped from #40 to #41 #50 to #51 on some random small-time airplay chart where it had 1 or 2m audience, but otherwise is still making gains.

No, it would have to have fallen out of the top 50 at a format, not top 40. Kworb's site is based on whatever is available on AllAccess. If a song falls out of the top 50 on any given format, then that portion of airplay can't be accounted for anymore unless it returns to the top 50.

To my knowledge, they only release the figures to agencies for charting purposes.  They don't publish charts or figures anywhere for public viewing.

You can look on Kworb for it. For Latin Urban, the songs in the 40-50 region mostly have 0.1 to 0.2 million AI.

On Spanish radio it's more, around 0.6 to 1.5 million AI.

In this case the update is due to it dropping out the Spanish chart, so its "real" update would probably be around 0.6 - 1.5 million more depending on how much it had from Spanish.

As for Rihanna, releasing her music video as a TIDAL exclusive shouldn't be a huge issue as long as:

1. The video streams from TIDAL will count
2. The video comes in the next couple of weeks, not ridiculously late like she often does
3. The video is a TIDAL exclusive for one 1 week or less.

I hope they do it right. It's a risky song for a single because pop radio could drop it at any time.

Do you know how much Cake By The Ocean has? I was pretty surprised to see it jump to #11 this week (I was sure it would be #14 or lower) and am wondering if it has any chance at being a future top 10

How in the world did Cake By The Ocean even get that high? Its radio is okay, but not great, its got no youtube, barely in the top 30 of Spotify, and barely top 20 on iTunes. Is it getting unreal Apple Music streams or something?

Edit: Top 20 of Spotify. Had the worldwide chart pulled up.

My thoughts exactly. Maybe it's because Hands To Myself, Adventure Of A Lifetime, etc. were so weak in points this week so it manages to somehow get ahead of them. I just hope this won't be its peak. I hate #11 peaks for songs I like/love (as I'm most others here do for songs they like)
