This site had such a promising start, but it completely faded away following the launch of "25." They're going to need to start giving out numbers to build their brand. And I'm guessing Adele is #4 on that chart -- and likely to move to #2 as buzz over the new releases fades.

Bonnie Raitt's numbers are IMO a bit low I wish it were higher, but considering she's 45 years into her career and releasing the album on her own label, I think it's not the worst showing.

Kendrick has a new album out for next week's chart. hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=300032Friday, March 4, 2016 KENDRICK PUSHES THE ENVELOPE WITH UNTITLED, UNMASTEREDby Michelle Santosuosso Top Dawg Entertainment came through on their promise that something crazy special was dropping this week. Kendrick Lamar revealed a surprise album late Thursday night he calls untitled, unmastered. The project is eight tracks of deep Kendrick cuts, some with the unmistakable spirit of his opus To Pimp a Butterfly firmly intact. The songs are all listed as "untitled" with a corresponding date to each, which range between 2013 and 2016. Kendrick's been performing new songs on every TV appearance he's made in the last few years, debuting material as the last musical guest on The Colbert Report in 2014, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in January as well as that powerful Grammy performance last month. Those records are all part of this offering. Lamar even hinted at this treasure trove in an interview before the Grammys. "You see all these performances on these late-night shows,” he said, “I got a chamber of material from the album that I was in love with, where sample clearances or something as simple as a deadline kept it off the album. But I think probably close to 10 songs that I’m in love with that I’ll still play and still perform didn’t make the cut.” untitled, unmastered will be digital only for at least one week. All DSPs and streaming services have it, with the physical out by next Friday (3/11) via TDE/Aftermath/Interscope.

New releases out today: hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=300031TDE/Aftermath/Interscope's Kendrick Lamar dropped his untitled unmastered in a surprise release last night. Staying in the vein of sneak attacks, Def Jam's 2 Chainz-Lil Wayne set, which Kanye West hinted about via Twitter on Wednesday (3/2), dropped as well. Also streeting this week are albums from Legacy’s Loretta Lynn, RCA’s Ray Lamontagne, Jackalope’s Miike Snow and Interscope’s The Struts.

Relatively steep fall for Adele, no? Not to imply that this is a knock on 25, but I do think the crawl to 10 million will be slow. I want to see her domination continue, just for the fun of it, so I hope there is a legitimate push for a 3rd single with a real video and performance (during her break from tour).

Quite steep yes, but "When We Were Young" is dropping like a rock in Pop airplay and "Hello" is falling in airplay still as well. Hopefully the 3rd single will be pushed in April when Adele has most of the month off from her tour. Sales will need to pick up if it is to break the record for fastest album to 10 million. It has to average just over 70k/week for the next 24 weeks to tie the record by August 19th. The start of the US leg of the tour is in July, so hopefully that'll help push up sales as well.
