I've got a random question. Plz don't get upset at me
Back in 2014 when Happy had 300 million AI, the top 6 all had higher AI then the regular top 6 does nowadays.
Was this because of how big the songs were or was there some change in radio between then and now?

Very disappointed that "Let It Go" dropped, it was getting serious radio play in my area, I would have assumed the radio play would be enough for it to keep it high on the charts.

I've got a random question. Plz don't get upset at me Back in 2014 when Happy had 300 million AI, the top 6 all had higher AI then the regular top 6 does nowadays. Was this because of how big the songs were or was there some change in radio between then and now? It probably has somewhat to do with those songs being bigger and more popular; there are always natural variations in the peaks of songs at different times - the number one song will not always equal 300 mil, the number 6 song will not always be 200 mil, etc. (I'm using arbitrary numbers there). In terms of other changes in radio, I don't know for sure for since 2014, but for the past few years the total number of stations being monitored has grown, and possibly more people are also listening to the radio more, which would go against your assertion that AI's in 2014 were higher, but like I said I'm not sure.

Was this because of how big the songs were or was there some change in radio between then and now? Radio has changed in terms of panel size and AI recalculating since, but back then there were multiple songs were peaking across a large number of formats at the same time - "Happy" - POP/HAC/AC/Rhythmic/Urban/Urban AC, "All of Me" - POP/HAC/AC/Rhythmic/Urban/Urban AC, "Dark Horse" - POP/HAC/AC/Rhythmic/Urban, "Pompei" - POP/HAC/AC/Rhythmic/Alternative, "Team" - POP/HAC/AC/Rhythmic/Alternative/Triple A, "Drunk In Love" - POP/HAC/AC/Rhythmic/Urban/Urban AC. We currently don't have many songs being big on 5+ radio formats at the moment. The current top 6: "Love Yourself" - POP/HAC/AC/Rhythmic (Falling on POP/Rhythmic but gaining on HAC/AC), "Stressed Out" - POP/HAC/AC/Rhythmic/Alternative (Falling on POP/Alternative, gaining on others. "Sorry" - POP/HAC/AC/Rhythmic (falling on all but AC), "Work" - POP/Rhythmic/Urban/Urban AC, "My House" - POP/HAC/Rhythmic, "Hello" - POP/HAC/AC/Rhythmic/Urban AC (falling now). It was more so that there were multiple songs doing very well across a large number of radio formats which lead to a lot having huge AI. If anything, songs are peaking with larger AI (not necessarily at #1, but further down the chart for instance #40 is getting 40-50 million AI whereas in 2014 that was more in the 25-35 million AI range.

And thank god for that. Seriously, "Happy", "All Of Me", and "Dark Horse" were downright oppressive with how inescapable they were. Glad it's more spread out now.
