this guy actually just accused us of being racist because we don't like modern Beyonce songs though lmfao dkm Me: Likes Chuck Berry, Nat King Cole, B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Scott Joplin, Louis Armstrong, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Prince, The Commodores, Lionel Richie, Hot Chocolate, The Gap Band, The Time, Donna Summer, The Supremes, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Living Colour, N.W.A., Run DMC, Tupac, Hooty and the Blowfish, Tracy Chapman, Terrence Trent D'Arby, Sepultura, The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, James Brown Doesn't like modern Beyonce Other Users: Racist! I don't see the sense in this. I'm done taking the thread off topic because this is so stupid. I hope you guys don't take it further off topic. ALL of the artists you like are black. So that is kinda racist.

Oh that's a prediction? What are the actual sales then? Also if those are predictions of the week, then it's well ahead of Beyonce and so we're good. the actual sales are based on the Friday-Thursday tracking week, so the actual sales aren't available yet (they will be on Friday), unless you mean sales so far this week, which we don't know and yes, there was no doubt Purple Rain would be well ahead of Beyonce as it got a full week of sales rather than just 4 days (and it definitely peaked higher than Formation too). Not sure about streaming though (the top 20 most viewed chart for YouTube doesn't have either song in it)

So that is kinda racist. Not at all. I also love about every rock and metal band between the 1960s and 1990s as well as Elvis. Metallica is my favorite band. Is this what the Hot 100 threads have come to? We are arguing about race now? -_- Apparently. ANYWAY: I still believe Purple Rain will get the number 1 spot.

No no, he's just providing counter-examples to the claim that fit the claim's parameters; I'm pretty sure he likes more artists than that; he's just highlighting the ones relevant to this argument.
Anyway, I'll need to check the rules, but aren't attacks on character, especially with profanity, against them? If so, Jback may be the one in trouble here.
Any-Anyway, I think Purple Rain will definitely have sub-4 million levels of streams, so it needs to count on sales for the majority of its points if radio drops off by Monday. It may actually have trouble getting to the top 5 if it can only count on ~30,000 to 31,000 points.

Not sure about streaming though (the top 20 most viewed chart for YouTube doesn't have either song in it) I'm assuming "Formation" is still a Tidal exclusive then, because I'm quite sure the video would get a lot of views if it was ever released to YouTube because the song has been popular for a while. If there ever was a perfect time for the video to go up on YouTube, it would be now.

So far I found one link of a source for the day he died and that's about it. I wonder how they'll factor the classic rock and variety stations that play his music daily.

I guess they might be doing the smart thing and waiting until Friday to do that, in order to maximize streams but if people have undoubtedly already seen the video as it was in existence somewhere for the past few months, wouldn't that mean it won't be that viral if and when the video is put on YouTube?

Based on the prediction and the fact that Purple Rain is falling faster than we thought, it gets #3, maybe #2 this week. It would be so bad because PR was stucked at #2 in the past. It deserves #1 tho.

yeah it is falling fast, but at the same time it had such a colossally high peak that it is still managing to stay that high. I feel like it'll sell more than 300k tbh. 350k at least

It's ok, it took me a while to understand this whole thing as well

Kworb isn't showing that in its archives from a day ago or today.
