AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Finally, new music...I am SO. EXCITED. (That's an understatement). Although, I hope that touring with Luke hasn't rubbed off on them in the sense that they produce an album full of "Home Alone Tonight(s)." I do have faith in them, though. I do have a right to be a bit nervous though...right??!

I found Pain Killer to be a very weak album that sounded more pop-rock than country, and the album also felt overproduced so it wasn't exactly good music to my ears even if you remove genre labeling, but I digress. I am excited but I'm expecting something similar to "Day Drinking" and "Pontoon" since LBT likes the leadoff songs to be beach/drinking summery songs.

New LBT music!? I'm excited!!!
Hopefully it's not something like "Pontoon" or "Day Drinking" because I want to see them lead off with something different, but I'm just really happy that we're getting new LBT music. I would definitely want to see LBT back on the country charts and possibly at #1 :)

Writers are Lee Brice, Cory Batten and Richard Wold. Thrilled and so excited but then I read this. Lee Brice, really?? Anyway, its new LBT, so for that reason alone I'm still pumped to hear it.

Lee Brice also wrote "Parking Lot Party," so...
In all seriousness though, Little Big Town gives me no reason to be concerned about upcoming music from them regardless of who wrote or produced it. I'm definitely very excited for this! I was not expecting a new lead single so soon!

Writers are Lee Brice, Cory Batten and Richard Wold. I have been told by a reputable source that these are NOT the writers of the song.

That's When You Know It's Over, That Don't Sound Like You, Seven Days, That Way Again, One More Day, Til Summers Gone, Sirens are all composed well. and not to mention, Hard To Figure Out is one of the best lyrical songs you'll hear.

I'll use my first post here as an opportunity to agree with this! Lee Brice is a great writer, his best stuff just doesn't usually make it to radio. Anyway, I'm also excited to hear something new from LBT, I'm interested to see which direction they will go.

I'm definitely very excited for this! I was not expecting a new lead single so soon! The more and more I think about this song, the less worried I am. And usually, as you said...I would have no reason to be concerned either. I am way overthinking this. I imagine it will be along the lines of their last two lead singles, but it would be interesting if that started with something out of the box. More of an unconventional start to the next era, so to speak. I really enjoyed the Pain Killer album and Tornado as well. If they stick with Jay Joyce they should be fine. :)

Natalie Hembry posted a picture on instagram of itunes page to buy the song with the caption: 'I think it's going to be "One of those Days" where Little Big Town and Pharrell make amazing music together.'
So if anyone has bought and heard it, is it more of a buzz "single" to be performed just on The Voice or does it sound more like an actual single?

Wow, this does not sound anything like them. I honestly don't know how I feel about this... I'm hoping it'll grow on me, but this just is SO unlike them...

I thought it was awful when I previewed it, actually. But the melody is catchy and parts of the vocal arrangement are really good. Still, not a fan of this and really hope this isn't the lead single for the new era

Listened to the preview on iTunes and was really surprised with the sound of this. It's pretty bad. If this goes to radio, it will be a station changer for me. They're such a talented group with beautiful harmonies and the production on this song kind of overshadows their voices because it's so nauseating.

What in the world? This can't be a single. It won't do well at all if it is.

Bought it, have been listening to it in full, and I'm going back to it being terrible. Production is awful, instrumentation is nothing but one big mess... catchy vocal arrangement in parts, but this does nothing to showcase their wonderful vocals and harmonies. Ugh.

On listen #3 and I'm crying at how much I hate this. Please let this be some sort of joke and not an actual single from them :'(

That has got to be one of the stranger country releases in some time. I see it growing on me a little bit, but dang, this is when being experimental can go wrong.
Definitely has a trippy summer vibe to it

Lol so the tropical house craze has now invaded country music That's what I thought too! This sounds more tropical house than country in the chorus imo. While I'm shocked about how this song turned out, I can see this growing on me. In fact, I'm gonna be in the minority and say that I kind of liked this on first listen. I wonder how country radio will react to this if it's actually getting sent for adds. As zaclord 🌈 and LBTrocks have mentioned, this is SO unlike LBT...

Little Big Town will be releasing an 8-song album titled Wanderlust on June 10. The album was produced by Pharrell.
I didn't really like "One Of Those Days" (with that production, I couldn't really make out a good chunk of the lyrics) but I'm thinking/hoping that this is just a side project of sorts..

Shows what I get for presuming! Not really a fan of this – another example where I don't really mind artists branching out from their home genre, but only if they do it well, and this is kind of bland. (That artwork gives me major Graffiti6 vibes, though! *sheds a tear*)
