Biebs. Ariana and Rihanna are close runners-up, with HMs going to baby boi Troye and Slayline. Also loved seeing Gwen 'New Face' Stefani, Madonna and Shawn 'Breed Me' Mendes <3 Aside from the ones I didn't care to watch (was that Patti Labelle with Nick Jonas that I heard from the other room? and who knew Lukas Graham wasn't just one guy?), the worst was definitely:

Celine Dion was the best Riri was amazing Ari was amazing Madonna and Stevie did great Kesha did great DNCE did great Britney did great Meghan did good Shawn did good P!nk was great
Everything else I either didn't like it didn't hear Worst: Fifh Harmony Love Work From Home, but that was a shit performance Bieber is 2nd since he lipped, looked bored, didn't really dance, the visual aesthetic was the only appealing thing Only Britney can get away with lipping cause she actually danced, gave her energy and is incredibly sexy throughout. Plus it was an interesting choice of songs that ended up working and giving the world a taste of Britney's residency show and what's coming

For me, best could mean entertaining or moving/affecting.... it's hard to be both. Ariana was entertaining while actually singing (and sounding good), and Kesha and Madonna both had less entertaining yet wholly affecting performances.
However, Rihanna had me all affected AND entertained... so I gotta give it to her. She tore it up and I felt Whitney's presence which was icing on the cake. Another one who combined the two was Celine. Loved it.
I don't like 7 Years, but he's a really talented vocalist - so kudos to the Lukas Graham performance.

Based on the top 3 on the poll so far:
Celine was my favorite, it was emotional, the song choice was perfect and representative of where she is in her life.
Rihanna delivered great vocals and sang my favorite song on her album which was a nice surprise. While I did like her vocals a lot, I though her performance could've been better. It felt too Wicked for me. The set, what she was wearing, her nails...it distracted me from enjoying the song fully.
Britney was ok, she looked ah-mazing but its just...I don't know, as much I like her and do think she's been a force in the industry, its just crazy to think she's receiving that award when she has practically lip-synch her whole entire career. It just seems odd.

1 Rihanna 2 Ke$ha 3 Justin Bieber
Celine was a little underwhelming, vocally, to me. But her acceptance speech was the moment of the night.

Oh I forgot to mention Britney because I ony saw the end of her performance but what I saw was pretty good.
And is Pink basically just a singing circus act now?

I'm throwing a bone to DNCE. I really loved the performance cos that song, "Cake By The Ocean," is f**king awesome! It should've been #1 for weeks. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ETA: Runner-up - Rihanna. She slayed as well.

I can't believe I'm going to say this because I hardly listen to it when it's on the radio. Lucas Graham- 7 Years. I had no idea how talented he was and that I really like the song. He sounded better and gave more depth to the already nicely written song. How nice it was to see someone put on an Amazing performance with out 500 things or different voices coming out of the TV. It was him singing and I knew when he was and how. Thank you for a Great Old School performance.
I don't mind when artists have a lot going on if their talent can easily still shine through. I understand having backing tracks etc but some of these artists can't survive w/out them. I may be just a little bitter about a few of the performances. lol
I also liked Rihanna, Demi, 5th Harmony Pink and Celine (was she lipsyncing parts)? Oh well I know she can sing and she's weird about using her "Vegas" voice. lol
